Does anyone know where I can get a REAL Ocarina?

I want one like crazy!! I don't necessarily have to have one like in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (though that would be kickass beyond reason..), but I NEED one, any one!!

Any advice on locations, prices, etc will be greatly appreciated! smile

Well, I got mine in my town's music store, but that's in the UK.

In my search a few years ago, I found this site:
www.stlocarina.com

They make all kinds of ocarina and even have a special Zelda page (http://www.stlocarina.com/choose-your-ocarina-for-zelda-fans.html) where you can buy exact Ocarina of Time replicas. Those are quite expensive (over $50), but they really are super-high quality. Also, they have rupee-shaped ocarinas that are around $20.

The thing with ocarinas, though, is that they are always tuned to a certain scale signature, and most have a pitch range of an octave, so what you can play on it is limited (higher quality ones may have a higher range), though that didn't stop me from playing carols on it during Christmas, but that's a different story.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Additionally, I got one that is nearly identical to the OoT kind from songbirdocarinas (They're always advertised in Nintendo Power! HOW COULD I RESIST?) and the note variation is kinda lacking if you want to do elaborate songs, such as those found in The Beatles songbook they have! D=
So keep that in mind.

I have a Songbird ocarina, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I don't have both, so I can't really compare, but the STL ocarinas look better to me, and I want to get one eventually.
