I really want something to bide time...and seeing as not many people seem to be posting lately...Anyone up for a fight?
Abyl sits in a large canyon on a large platform. All around are small outcroppings, easily reached by climbing or jumping. Sparsely lit the canyon seems to continue down into the abyss. A strong wind constantly picks up and goes as fast as it came. Abyl sits there listening to the voices that come from nowhere, yet everywhere. Nex sits on his lap and is watching their surroundings.

Tobias walks to the tip of the canyon, where he can clearly see the stranger sitting on a platform. He was bored with the constant politics that he hoped Deiter was dealing with. A faint smile cracked his lips. He could use a work out. He took a few steps back, then jumped over the edge, using his dark energy to slow his fall as he neared the ground. When his feet touched the platform, he looked up at the stranger, then said, "How about a friendly spar, stranger?"

Abyl opened his eyes to to speech of a stranger. He then looked down to his staff and found the eyes staring at him. Why do you give me that look? It's not as if I will die yet, you yourself said that Nexus wouldn't allow me...He stood up and then turned to the challenger. "I accept your offer...Let Nexus watch and be entertained" He bowed and then went into a small stance, chains silently swaying in the wind. "You have the first move, stranger"

As the stranger accepted his offer, Tobias cracked a slight smile. This should'nt be hard. He pulled out his sword. As he did so, a dark energy grew around him. " You have the first move" He said to the stranger. "This one seems strong." said the voice in his head. "Of course, he may have some potential.

Abyl slowly chuckled. "Now who shall truly have the first move?" he tapped Nex's haft on the ground and launched his Drove of Madness, hoping that the spirits would at least put some distance between him and the swordsman. After sending his wave of spirits he readied a small disk of darkness to launch at the stranger. "May I ask what the name of my opponent is? That way Nexus will know the name of a possible sacrifice?"

Tobias quickly turned invisible as the spirits neared him, rolling to the side just as they went past the spot where he previously was. He then reappeared, on one of the ledges on the side of the canyon. "I am called Tobias, and you are?" Tobias sadi as he reappeared. He then sent an orb of darkness towards his opponent, slightly to the left. He then sent another orb, flying slightly to the left. "He needs some training, that was easy to dodge. He is quite powerful though." "You have much to learn."

"My name is Abyl Ragneer, and yes. I know that I need some teaching, but that only comes with time!" Abyl side stepped the first orb and brought Nex up to parry the other orb. Nex then drew in the orb and gave a mental urge of satisfaction.How his energy tastes! I want MORE!Now, now Nex. Don't bee to hasty, you have no clue how much of his energy you can take in...He seems stronger than I thought...Abyl threw his readied orb of darkness toward Tobius, then after threw five smaller ones. Using the smaller orbs as a distraction, he threw a chain to another ledge and dragged himself to it, as it latched into stone.

As the orbs neared him, Tobias flung his sword onto one of the ledges on the level of the one Abyl had latched onto. As it landed, the entire canyon filled with darkness for a few seconds, then as the light was restored, the huge knight Appylon was where the sword had landed, and Tobias once again held Klinge. "Well then Abyl, let's start the first lesson, never underestimate your opponent." The huge knight slashed his sword through the air, sending bolts of darkness towards his opponent.

Watch where you are going fool!screamed Nex in Abyl's head. He looked up in the last second to see the knight slash. "You are an interesting opponent, Tobias..." he said as he tugged on the chain, which tugged it out and made Abyl drop. Falling down into the depths Abyl used the shadows to use as cover as he shot three sphere's of darkness towards Tobias.

Tobias blocked all three spheres with his sword. He then jumped to one of the lower alcoves closer to where Abyl was. Appylon followed Tobias. "You can't keep running, face me head on!" Tobias said to Abyl. "He built up a huge dark energy around him, sending multiple bolts of darkness flying through the canyon, crahing into the alcoves of rock, leaving no surface to stand on left except the central one and the one he was standing on. They then formed a huge ball of darkness that was about the size of a bus at him, heading straight towards the bottom.

You know you'll have to get up close and personal soon. There is no way you can keep this up for much longerAbyl glanced in Nex's direction and couldn't come to grips with agreeing with him. He was a distance fighter, and without a close quarter weapon he would soon be overpowered. Why is combat so demanding?! He thought to himself, even away from Nex's prying mind. He threw a silent chain into the rock and stopped his fall. It would be a long climb up to the remaining platform, but at least he had the cover of darkness to hide him for a while. All until he got up to the platform.Incoming!was all that informed Abyl of Tobias's income. Abyl swung away and pushed off, dislodging the chain. Quickly wrapping Nex in chains he started his long decent up to the platform and slipping past the plummeting swordsman.

Tobias jumped onto the central platform. He then nodded to Appylon, who jumped down to where Abyl was climbing up, embedding his sword into the rock. He then offered his hand to the struggling dark priest. "This will speed things up a bit." Tobias called from above.

Abyl could feel the color rush to his face now. He was being toyed with, sure he had been the one to jump into the chasm, but he didn't expect the pity of his opponent. "I don't want you help minion...OR YOURS!" he called up to Tobias. He just continued to use his chains to climb up the heights.You foolish mortal...though at least your dignity is still intactBe quiet you, you should not be talking...for you are the one relying on me.

Seeming agitated, Appylon grabbed Abyl by the arm, pulling him up to his back, then jumping back up to the central platform. "You really don't have a choice." He then unsummoned his demon back into his sword. "You did good my friend. Now where were we?" He held his sword in a defensive position.

Abyl felt color actually touch his face again. Twice in less than five minutes. He didn't feel like himself, since he didn't show emotion very often like this. "Please forgive me, for I am not very close quarters centered. I prefer to fight like this.." he trailed off as he swung a chain towards Tobias' feet, trying to wrap around them
