Blood of the Fallen (Training Arena)

A rather large arena built like a Gladiator dome and has hundreds of seats even though at the most there will only be thirty. The Arena itself is filled with sand and has two entrences, one on the north end and one on the south. This is the primary training area so that other Arrancars may observe what fighting styles the Espada use. If things get to extreme, Nicodemus or another Espada may interfere as this is a place for training not killing.

Nicodemus entered the Arena from the South Gate, his robe flowing like water around him as he stepped onto the grainy sand. "Ah the thrill of battle, such a nostalgic thing it is" He walked to just about the North Gate and turned to face En'u.

En'u walked into the arena, standing lightly on her feet. She had shed her coat for the occasion and her hair was tied back. She kept glancing at ookami, watching the faintly blue energy wreathing around the hilt, begging her to draw, for her to consent to the release of her energy. She sighed, how backward to how it normally was...

"Ladies first of course" He took a bow to En'u "Please don't use your Released Form, but please don't hold back. I need to see the extent of your abilities, so if you would" Nicodemus took off the top right side of his kimono and motioned for her to start.

En'u grinned, "Of course, although I do wish to ask you a question first. What is your exact hight?"

"6'1" Although he was curious to why she was asking his exact height, Nicodemus knew that he would soon find out exactly why she was asking such questions on the field of battle.

En'u grinned slightly wider, glad that he hadn't asked why and simply answered. She didn't know how many times she had been fighting someone who she thought was 5'9" but actually 6', amazing how much difference that little bit makes, and how hard it was to explain to people that they adjusted to it, but just didn't notice.

She reached back and grabbed Ookami, and as expected her spiritual energy tried to flare, blowing the sand around. Annoyance. As soon as she had drawn and gotten her other hand on the sword she forced it close. It resisted or course, getting stronger as it fought. annoyance. and then, she lunged forward, with all appearances of swinging with her sword. At the last second she tipped it down, pivoting over it into a kick.

Nicodemus raised an eyebrow when the sand blew around En'u, but as soon as she jumped forward he watched her move her sword around like water, but changing her attack at the last second. Nicodemus spun past her kick, moving like wind past En'u until he was behind her "Not bad, very intresting"

SHe was a little too distracted to process what he had said, simply flowing to the next attack She released the energy, the sand whipping up as she landed, the sword sliding out of the sand, and right on through into a upward slice.

Nicodemus grabbed the oncoming sword using his own Hierro to stop the powerful blade. "Intresting, you use bursts of spirit energy to increase the power of you strikes and the speed of your attack recovery." He let go of the sword and jumped back a couple steps.

En'u jumped back, holding the blade defensively. "You forgot to add that to many, it makes a wonderful distraction." She forced the energy back. It fought harder this time, worse now that Ookami had felt Nicodemus's Hierro, and had a taste of his energy. She doubted he had even noticed the drop of spirit energy missing.

Nicodemus raised an eyebrow and shrugged "Well I believe it is my turn to attack" A pulse of wind and energy began to flow from him blowing the sand around him into the stands above. Then silence as his gaze fell on En'u and his normally greyish-blue eyes had turned to a glowing blue as he whisper "Fox Trot" In an instant he was gone, then several images of him appeared around En'u.

She grinned, glancing at each one, "A very interesting ability." She took a deep breath, "Ookami, split." a mist surounded the sword as it twisted and bent, spliting into two katana, she then spun, pouring her power into the blade, making it sharp enough to cut through steal like it was butter. She jumped, brushing past the real one, just missing. "hmm, missed."

Nicodemus's images raised their eyebrows at this intresting new devlopment "That's sharp" Suddenly they all began to move around her, jumping from place to place "If you really want to hurt me, you must harden your soul" They began to fade and like a mirage the real Nicodemus appeared a couple feet infront of her and lept forward, launching his fist at her, the air seemed to shatter as his fist got closer and closer.

She yelped and ducked to the side, dropping one Katana to brace the other, knowing she was too late to miss the blow but fast enough to lessen it.
