I think you need to look at a few things first.
1. How has the guy in question been acting? Did he even believe your friend? I like this guy, and another of my friends, who knew I liked him, told him almost every other day. But, the boy I liked never believed, so nothing happened.
2. Why did your friend tell him? Did she think she was helping you? If that was the case, then she probably feels really bad for upsetting you. Ask her straight up. She hurt you, and you deserve answers.
I think if you ask those questions, and get your answers, you'll know how to deal with it. If she told him just to tease you, let her know that was not cool. She's betrayed you. Don't go forgiving her right away. Trust is easy to betray and hard to earn.
But, don't worry. In time, everything has an interesting way of just working itself out. I'm sure you'll be okay. eventually. wink
