I am so so SO insanely satisfied with this sketch. ^_^ I'm going to transfer it to a larger piece of paper and paint it as soon as I get some new watercolors. The ones I have currently are old and low-quality, and Coyote is just too darn cool to waste on crappy pigments.

Awesome! You possess the talent I don't really have quite yet. I could never get people drawn, they always end up too cartoony or the proportions all wrong... ^.^'
Mebbe I should start trying harder. lol.

Thanks. It's really not talent tho. It's lots and lots of practice and lots and lots of independent studies. I've spend hours just staring at anatomy posters to learn how the muscles wrap around the bones. razz

My mom's gonna get me a book on how to transform geometric shapes into people and animals. ^.^'
My style is different from yours, I do more of an anime type... Wish I could do a more realistic style, but that comes with practice, I guess.

Lots of practice. ^_^ Start by studying anatomy. Geometric shapes will only get you so far if you don't understand what they represent. Even with animals, when you understand how they work on the inside, it's easier to get the outside line-art to look right. Plus, it's a great excuse to stair at the pretty pictures in national geographic and discovery magazines. cool

damn, he's sexy! .////.
anywho, in my opinion, talent relates to interest and commitment to your practice. so when you say that you have spent years of practice, to me that is the same as saying that you are talented. accept the praise, it's ok to be a little proud. ^_^

Thanks Twi. Really, the only reason I committed to art was because in the 1st grade, I was envious of a true art prodigy. I wanted to be as good and better than him, so I started working on my drawing skills. Later, I realized that my goal was impossible. I couldn't spend the time and money on art supplies or schooling to make up for the vast differences of inborn talent to be as good as those I envied. So I decided to just be as good as I can be. It sounds all noble in the end, but really, it was sparked by jealousy. sweatdrop

I'm glad you "approve," Ura. ^_^ Just wait until he's all painted up in sepia, umber, and ocre. He'll be so yummy and sexy, you'll probably get a nose bleed! rofl

It's the half-naked-in-blue-jeans that does it for me. ^_^ I personally think that jeans are one of the sexiest pieces of clothing and much underrated.
