Well i was starting to tune my clarinet with my tuner. and it says im a note off. like when i play open G it says im playing.. F. i don't know what to do. help? confused

i know this is probably in the wrong thread. :/

XD It's probably because your tuner is in concert pitch. You know how you've got a Bb instrument? That means that every note you play is going to sound like it's a major second lower than the note written. That's why it's called a Bb clarinet. When you play a C on it, it sounds like it's a major second lower, a Bb. There's nothing wrong with your instrument, that's just the way its built.

On the other hand, when you've got a C instrument like I do and your tuner says you're playing a G when you play an F#, that just means you're disgustingly out of tune. >_<
