Apparently it's over the 100,000 byte limit? Which is dumb. I've seen tons of sigs in the forums waaaaaaay bigger and more detailed than mine. mad And 100 kb is too small for an awesome picture like this anyway.

It's because it's a PNG.
They're masive like BMP.
As compared to jpegs, no matter how detailed they are.

They can be real bastards about the signature stuff. I know that I've had mine disabled many-many times because they said it was over the file-size limit. Though, I do see people running around posting with huge animated images in their signatures that are far-far over the limits.

And he is very right about the JPG/PNG thing. That makes a huge difference. I always like to have smaller images in my signature so I resize everything.

Oh I NEVER resize unless I absolutely have to.
(it messes with the visual quality)
I always just convert to jpg.

See what I did was...
1: copy the image
2: open it in paint and copy/paste to a BMP
3: use my "bmp-jpg" converter program to make a jpg from it
4: rename it to the original name

Yeah, I've been PM'd about my sig in the past a couple of times. It's so dumb. There's no good reason for it, and it's certainly not enforced in a fair manner.

Eh, well that totally depends on how you go about resizing an image. When you change an image from .png to .jpg it screws up the quality just as much as resizing does quite often. It all depends on the compression of the file ...and if you are resizing if you maintain the aspect ratio. ...The image in my signature was resized greatly, the original size was 650x800 pixels.

I think that if 15-year-old girls can post boob-shots of themselves in their signature you should be allowed to have something that exceeds the size limitations. ( ~_~ )

I guess they considder that there's a difference between picture size (pixel and MB) and picture content...

Though they usually say content is more importent... LOL

(I don't so much as compress as just copy the image itself from one file type to another)
I get rid of viruses that way.
Once I got a warning about a trojan in a picture I had saved.
Well I didn't want to delete my picture, so I copied the image itself, renamed the file to upen it in notepad, deleted all the text and named it back, then pasted the image back in. And that did the trick ^.^

Well I can't draw worth crap, but a number of times my antivirus has given me a "false possitive" on things.
Like the time that it thought that ALL my programs on my entire computer, were viruses.
That was a BAD update day >.<
