׺°”˜`”°º×׺°”˜`”°º×׺°”˜`”°º× ⊱ Thievery and Assassins, the two oldest professions known to every culture and even in these times, it couldn't be more existent. An assassin was hired by the King to take care of a multiple year long problem. He was the best assassin any where within a million mile radius and was hired to take out the worst thief in recorded history. Who would be better for the job. The only thing that wasn't expected, she was the Princess of Thieves and she was no princess. She was running for her life from tons of amateur assassins and hunters going after her to make a name for their selves; but he was no amateur and he meant business. Who was going to win this battle? Is the Vixen going to escape, or would the Falcon capture her and tether her down?

✺✺✺✺✺ Atem ✺✺✺✺✺ Atem walked up to the castle, having a hooded cloak around his form so as to not scare off the surrounding humans. Approaching the guard, Atem gave him the letter that indicated the kings want to speak with him.
He had received the letter a week ago, the messenger saying it was an urgent letter from the king. Of course, the messenger was also shaking in fear due to what he looked like and what he was known for. So Atem read the letter, curious as to why the king wouldn't say what he was summoning him for, saying he couldn't write it down for fear of the letter being read beforehand. Packing his things and weapons that he would need, knowing that any reason that the king was summoning him was only for cases where he would need to be serious in this assignment.
And now, here he was, walking through the gates of the castle, the guard telling a near by slave to tell the king of his arrival, no doubt.

The King Eric{{I'm not doing anything fancy for him yet}}King Ericx sat in his throne room waiting impatiently for the assassin to arrive. He had to get rid of this girl. He had stolen everything that was of good value that she could cary out of the castle and then it would appear in the market and he'd have to buy it back! It was ridiculous since it was his to begun with! He's had to pay for his prized stallion six different times and she was the reason. Still, odd enough, no one had seen his face, only his completely covered body. That, he knew what looked like. The slave boy ran up to him and a smile came across his evil face knowing what that meant.
He looked up from his hand seeing Atem's cloaked figured and let out a sigh of relief. He'd never dealt with this assassin before, but the other councilor members recommended him for the job. The king stood up from his thrown and smiled a little bit seeing him before he looked the the guards and made a motion with his hand before they dismissed themselves. "Atem I presume?" he asked knowing his answer to be true. "I'm honored that you came to deal with this little fox problem. For many months, maybe even years, there's been a fox issue and someone has been stealing everything imaginable from the royals and high families around here. I want you to either catch him, but don't be afraid to rough him up a little bit before you take him in. God knows that he needs it other wise he'll escape again," he said sternly going from open and friendly to angry and set on catching a evil man.
Eric stopped and thought about how much this man was worth to him to get captured. "I'll pay you one million to get him captured. That should be enough, he's stolen that much from me and that's how much I'll save if you do catch him," she said smiling a little bit. He was perfectly prepared to pay that much, but he still wanted him gone as fast and as effective as he could so he could rot in jail and die.

Nothing worried her about that since it seemed quiet rundown and she remembered the dog at the foot of the bed. She sat up holding her head groaning at the head ache. When she turned, she remembered why she was here and not her place in her hammock. The stab wounds that was under her cloak, explained it all. She winced standing up getting her weapons and strapping them back to herself.
She looked around frowning as her stomach growled and she pulled a piece of jerky out of her bag and munched on it. She zipped up her cloak covering back up the bindings and her breast making her look like a man again. She petted the dog with a gloved hand before she left out the window and she walked through town calm as ever as she walked down the road. Everyone knew her, but none of the peasants cared, she was a hero for them and it helped them make some money. Accalia only kept enough money to take care of her weapons and feed herself.

✺✺✺✺✺ Atem ✺✺✺✺✺ Atem walked in, seeing a relieved and smiling king standing up from his throne. He didn't make any motion to confirm the kings attempt to confirm his name. But when he kept saying 'fox' to name the problem he's been having, Atem was not planning to help the king just because of his words. He also took note of the kings emotions and his movements.
When the king finished speaking, Atem walked up to him and suddenly grabbed him by the throat. "Let me tell you something, I do not appriciate mere humans getting mixed up with foxes. I am an assassin, which means I kill, not capture. If you want me to capture this thief, I expect 2 million as it will cause me twice as much trouble. I do not care if you are king, I will kill you the next time you say 'fox' in my presence. Do I make myself clear?" he asked in a low voice, his amber eyes able to be seen beneath the hood of his cloak now that he was this close to the king.

The King EricEric smiled at what he said and laughed at him. "Well, the rummers are true about you. Any way, bring him back dead, or alive or what ever. Make sure that he suffers though and if he does I'll at more to your pay extra." He pulled his hand away from his throat with a smile still on his face. "Like I said though, take care of this thief for me and I'll pay you your two million if you so desire. I still warn you, he's not human what ever he is," he said with the cruel evil smile still on his face.

✺✺✺✺✺ Atem ✺✺✺✺✺ Atem narrowed his eyes when the king laughed at him. Without another word to cyrptic king, Atem turned and left the room and castle altogether. He already knew how to start off on this mission, gather information, wait and watch, hide until the right moment and enough information had been gathered. Then the chase was on. Going to his palomino stallion, he fixed the saddle and the bags on it containing his weapons among other things and then got on, riding into town.
He went to an inn first, and paid for a room and stable for his horse and then took care of his horse first then took his things into his room, putting daggers up his sleeve, hidden blade up the other and throwing knives at his waist under his cloak. Then walked back outside, knowing full well that his horse would be going no where due to how Atem trained it.
He went around listening for anything that could be of use for him.

°ºO•°o.OO.o°•°o.OO.o°•Oº° A young girl walked into the inn and walked past the assassin without a word slipping past him easily as she made her way through the crowed to pull on her apron to work on her day job. Everywhere around her she could hear people talking about the Prince's last night job referring to him as Robin Hood often. Her favorite ones were when they called him The Fox. More like Vixen, she thought to herself with a smile on her face. She walked over to the assassin man with a curious look on her face. It seemed odd to any new comer how a girl like her wasn't afraid of this man, but to the people who lived here, she was the tough chick that would kick everyone's butt if she was tempted. "Sir? Is there something you would like or are you just wondering?" she asked raising an eyebrow slightly crossing her arms cockily in front of herself. She looked over her shoulder listening in on some people's theories on the thief and some were right while others were ale drunk stories.
"I heard that he could control the shadows and turn them into fierce creatures with a flick of his wrist!" one man exclaimed as he played a card game. "Well, I've seen him do it. Except this was odd. It was like a evil fire. It was black, but it burned anything that touched it! Shadow fire is what the mages call it!" another one said folding his cards onto the table winning the game. One of the bar maids shook her head at what they said. "I heard that he is really a she! People say that they've seen her chest when her cloak came undone! Though, that's what any man's dream would be isn't it?" she said with a laugh.

✺✺✺✺✺ Atem ✺✺✺✺✺ Atem glanced at the girl from beneath his hood. "Milk would be fine." he stated in a low voice, not allowing his true voice to be heard. He listened intently to what was being discussed, and took each into consideration, aside from one since the man was clearly drunk and about to fall over at any moment. He'd need to speak to the bar maid a bit later too.

°ºO•°o.OO.o°•°o.OO.o°•Oº° "I take it that you are interested in that? You better be good to try and catch him, he's quiet good. Though, you don't seem very happy about the names he's been given. Acording to everyone, he just don't have one," she shrugged and walked off to get his milk from the back of the kitchen. She let out a huff of air rubbing the wounds under her dress. She hated her dress,it was so stupid and the only point of it was to make the men more interested in coming back to stare at them and she hated it. She wanted to dress like a guy again and that was the flat out truth. Sighing she left the kitchen caring the man's mug on the dish she normally carried everything out with. Accalia carefully put down a napkin before she put the large mug of milk on top of it. "Holler if you need anything," she said with a small smile before she walked over to another table and a man reached up her skirt and in a few seconds he was on the ground with the steak knife to his throat he was seconds ago eating his deer with. "Touch me again, and a knife to your throat will be minor," she hissed before she burred the knife in the table that she threw it into.

׺°”˜`”°º×׺°”˜`”°º×׺°”˜`”°º× Atem's attention was immediately on the girl. He knew that he was making sure that he looked as if he wasn't listening, more like he didn't have a care in the world. There was no way she could've known who or what he was, or how he felt about the name the thief was called. He all but watched her feircely from that moment on, she was no ordinary waitress if she figured that out with just his order. He watched her movements carefully, taking note that she favored one side over the other...injured on her hip or side most likely...a limp...strain on the leg on the leg she didn't put her weight on seeing as he saw no wounds or signs of bandages.
He took his jug and slowly drank his milk, keeping his eyes on her through the darkness his hood provided. (Hope you don't mind i took the quote from the first post ^_^ it suited him so well)

°ºO•°o.OO.o°•°o.OO.o°•Oº° Accallia had to force her eyes from looking over at the man who came in. She had shivers down her spine feeling his eyes burn into the back of her head. She couldn't help herself and her orange eyes flashed over to him with an irritated look on her face. He's good... He's not just staring at me for my short dress. He knows something, she thought to herself shivering a little bit as she looked back at the kitchen and made her way to another table. She briskly walked there ignoring her side now completely and she looked like anyone else who was watching, but her normal grace was gone and replaced by this 'normal' grace.
The same maid who said that this Prince of Thieves was a girl walked over to Atem and shook her head. "You know, you should keep your eyes off that girl and not get any ideas in your head," she said sternly obviously not aware much of his profession since she'd seen tons of men coming through dressed in robes like him, but all of them passed quiet quickly. "She's a a pistol with a lot more fire power then you can handle," she said standing there shaking her head at the girl as she slipped back into the kitchen to take up a cooking job.

He almost smirked when the woman tried to hide her limp and wounds, but he already caught it so it was too late for that. Plus the little knife display didn't help her cause at all. He would definately be keeping his eyes on her. But for now, he needed more information. Getting up, taking his mug with him, he went to the table that was in front of the kitchen. "I have some questions. I'm new to the town and I over heard you talking about a female dressing as the prince of thieves. Where did you hear that from?" he asked, making it so only the woman could hear. (Hope you don't mind i took the quote from the first post ^_^ it suited him so well)

And you are going to be like all the cocky bastards, you will die if you don't leave and you try killing me. She shivered a little bit but she kept working with her irritation growing as she nicked herself good with the blade. She walked over to the water and washed her hand off grumbling to herself before she wrapped a bandage around it and went back to slicing vegetables and added it to the delicious smelling stew.
"A man just like you a week ago before he was found with his lung punctured. He drowned in his own blood. He came to the tavern down the road challenging the Prince--or Princess--and he was found dead. We couldn't confirm that it was actually her, but it seemed a lot like it," she shrugged before she asked, "Would you like another mug?"
