Here's a source.Kon is one of my favorite anime directors. He didn't release a lot during his lifetime, but I've loved all of his works. There are no words. Not to mention that he died at 47. That's far too young for anyone. At least we may still get Yume-Miru Kikai posthumously.

I've seen Millenium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers, and I loved them both. I didn't realise they were from the same guy. *cough* I have to see the other films/series he's made. In a way, to honor what he's created. (hopefully)
He's got a sad death. But, he did get his final word in. Wonderful director/creator.
