Hey, so I just went to Riccardo Muti's first concert as the director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
It was amazing. I don't think I've heard that good a rendition of the Pines of Rome in a while, and that was even over some semi-crappy speakers in Millenium Park.
Did anyone else here go? Anyone else here seen Muti conduct? I'm so glad Chicago's got him~. (Not that Barenboim wasn't good, but he was personally a jerk)

Got to play in one of the Youth Groups that opened for them! then we got to sit behind the orchestra where the choir would sit. Definitely the most amazing experience of my life. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe it.
