Summary: A small group of clans existed on earth, each blessed with the marking of a Elemental Dragon. One person in each clan would be known as 'The Chosen One', or the 'Shifter'. They could take on the form of the dragon, successfully altering their image as well as abilities. Fast-forward to modern day. Such legends have been long forgotten, if not labeled as myth. Now there are decendents, and the Dragons' Blood is calling. Can they find each other in time to destroy the one threat to Earth?~~~~Rules~~~~ 1. SEND ME ALL PROFILES!!! It has proven to be a lot easier as well as organized if they are all on the front page! Do NOT just post them. 2. NO GODMODING!!! No one likes egotistical morons. Please do not be one ^_^ 3: Do not kill/remove other characters without the user's permission. 4: No sexual content, please! -.- If you MUST let us all know 'it' happened, then just imply the event and skip to the next scene. (Saffron)
(Riku)
(Dragon Form)
Name: Saffron (Safer)
Age: 16
Personality: Saffron is an extremely shy but sweet girl. She is determined, and she loves to draw and sing. She is extremely smart but tends to be dense about things related to herself. She adores Pocky, is obsessed with anime, and soda makes her scary hyper.
Bio: Saffron grew up with her grandpa, and her parents died when she was little. At the age of 14, she was diagnosed with split-personality disorder. What no one knows, though, is that this 'disability' is actually related to the fact that she has Dragon Blood in her. It had a mixed-up chemical reaction to her body, and in turn another personality or 'being' attached to her conscious. To avoid confusion, she named the personality Riku. Riku is able to come out, though certain aspects of her appearance change when she does. Dragon Type: Water/Ice (Kyte)
(Dragon Form)
Name: Kyte
Age: 17
Personality: He is extremely reserved and just about anything can irritate him. Kyte hates people that talk too much, crowded bathrooms, and mailmen. He likes pizza, guns, and hard rock.
Bio: Kyte hates his father, and he lives on his own in a run-down apartment. He suffered something horrific at a young age, though no one knows what. He tends to get mad easily, and carries a gun on him at all times.
Dragon Type: Darkness
Extra: Kyte has a falcon named Atlan (Human Form)
(Hafling State)
(Dragon Form)
Name: Alice Whitlock
Age: 16
Personality: Alice is rather hard to explain. She can go from a gun happy bullet blazin' momma in one minute to a happy-go-lucky cutesy girl in another. She's uber protective of friends. Can be very mysterious and reserved or open and easily read, depending on the situation.
Bio: Alice doesn't often speak of her past, though it's obvious from her 'bad moments' that something must've gone horrible awry when she was young.
Dragon Type: Earth
Extra: As earlier mentioned, Alice can be very volatile or very sweet, but usually she is a balance of trigger happy and helpfully kind. As a result(and possibly from something in her past), she can transform into a half dragon creature, unlike many off her kind. She spends much of her time in this in-between state, and often her transformations are related to her mood.
Name: Lyra Nasiri
Age: 26
Bio: Lyra grew up with her mother and stepfather. She never knew her birth father but it didn't bother her much. As far as her world was concerned she liked and got along with her mother's current husband. Her mother being happy playing a key role in that. She wasn't spoiled growing up but her parents did support any activity which they thought could help further her success as a young adult. As such she became quite good at playing wind instruments such as flutes and the small ocarina she carries on her neck like a necklace pendant. School wasn't hard but by far from being simple. She made friends here and there but since her move out of her parent's home she's kept mostly to herself, especially after an incident that had led to her hospitalization. She has little scars from the event but never told her family as to the nature of it, simply that she had taken a fall.
Persona: Lyra is soft hearted though tries her best not to show it. Since the accident she has fallen in love more with her ocarina and plays it whenever she has a chance to do so in private. Her favorite thing to do is go to the grain fields outside of town on slightly cloudy, windy days and feel the rushes of wind wash over her. It calms what she already has found hidden within her, though knows none would believe her. that is except her best and unlikely friend who happened to have seen the indecent.
Dragon: Light blue/ Wind
Human Appearance: Black wavy/ curly hair that flows about mid back. She tends to wear mostly browns and tans but in a more up to date fashionable way. Her eyes are a green-blue in color. She has a faint tattoo/ birthmark that has gotten more pronounced as she's grown up, what once started as a birthmark is now more like a tattoo of a blue Chinese dragon.
Dragon Appearance: Like the pic above yet a bit softer on her features. The black spots also are more like a dark blue that blends better with her lighter blue scales. Her spikes are also a bit shorter and more rounded, though still sharp. Name: Kisha
Age: 17
Personality: She tends to be short-tempered, but otherwise, she is a really great friend. Kisha loves to doodle and is too curious for her own good.
Bio: Kisha is Saffron's distant cousin. She moved to her town just recently, so they barely know anything about each other. She likes gothic stuff and she can't control her powers very well. They tend to come out in bursts when she's angry (which can be quiet often). If she isn't bouncing around and happy, she's usually mad. (Can be bi-polar).
Dragon Type: Fire

Rain fell in tendrils, silver against the windowpanes. Every second felt like eternity in school. Saffron sighed heavily, her eyes fluttering with exhaustion. If it wasn't for the last bell echoing through the halls right about then, she probably would have fell face-forward on her desk and slept there for hours.
"Alice!"
Saffron ran after the girl's retreating form. She was already half-way down the hall when the girl glanced over her shoulder.
"Hey, we're going to walk home toghether, right?"
She fell into step beside the girl, her hand darting instinctly toward the necklace around her neck. It was her comfort, as well as lucky charm. Just a simple droplet-shaped saphire hanging from a chord.

Alice slowed to let Saffron catch up. "Walk!" she scoffed, shoving her books in her locker. She had known the tedious material since she was twelve, she wouldn't need to study. "Are you kidding? I wanna fly!" she said, spreading her arms and spinning in a circle. Flying in the rain was the best, feeling the droplets flung off your body as wind rushed by, almost as soon as they hit was the most amazing feeling in the world. Especially when thunder cracked below you. It made Alice want to throw back her head and laugh. "You know you love any sort of water. It's in your blood." she said, waggling her eyebrows conspirationally as a group of kids passed by, looking at her like she had just crapped in her hand and was getting ready to throw it at someone. Alice had a bit of a reputation for being bi-polar. But she wasn't, not really, not like, clinically or anything. She just thought faster than anyone else. At least, that's what she said. And she had the test scores to prove it. Scholarships were already being shoved in her face, although she never told anyone. Being a genius was too much to keep up with, too many expectations. Alice prefered physical education to stuffy old schools.

Lyra entered the apartment seeing her roommate and newer friend Tamera reading what she could only assume was another mythology book. She would smile lightly though as noticed before heading towards her room. She sat on the bed looking out the window at the rain and wondered.
"You know, this is perfect weather if you wanted to." Tamera had noticed her friend as well as the weather and couldn't help but jump at the chance to see her again. So much had to be documented, she still hadn't found anything to support that there were others like Lyra. "So, you gonna or what?"
She looked to the doorway seeing Tamera and shrugged. "As much as it would be nice to get some more basics down, I think I'm going to pass. Work was, well work and I'd honestly just like some alone time if it's all the same." She watched her friend nod and turn to leave the room knowing she was disappointed. She promised herself to make it up to her another time before she picked up the ocarina from her necklace and began playing. The soft music soothing any tension or anxiety she had felt from the day. Perhaps later she would, but right now it was time to flow with the music.

A shriek filled the air, girls screaming. The falcon glided over the swimming pool's surface, gracefully landing on his master's arm. Kyte smiled softly, brushing his fingertips over Atlan's soft feathers. The girls were still shrieking, yelling at him.
"You moron! You're not supposed to bring animals to a swimming pool!"
"That thing was going to eat me!"
"He isn't even dressed in swimming trunks..."
"Hey, he's kind of hot..."
Kyte ignored the comments, sitting down on a lounging chair. He closed his eyes, leaning back against the chair's surface. It didn't matter what anyone said, for now he had what he wanted. He stroked the bird's wings, the small parchment that was rolled up in Atlan's talons brushing against his hand.

Once she had calmed her mind she looked to the still cloudy weather outside and sighed knowing she should try some more. Lyra stood getting and went to put on some looser fitting clothes and put together a bag of other clothes for her return trip. Since the incident she had learned to take stalk in looser clothes she didn't mind ruining. Once satisfied she opened her door and watched her friend look up instantly with curiosity. She shook her head sighing and putting a hand to her forehead. "All right, what's the game plan this evening?"
Tamera looked up once she had heard the music stop and waited for what may come next. when the door opened she smiled seeing the look that Lyra was gonna go. "Well, it's been a few years but how about attempting a ride again?" She knew it made her friend weary but also knew if there was ever an occasion it would be needed, she wanted her to be prepared. She watched her friend nod hesitantly before they would leave the apartment for the fields just outside of their town. Along the walk they would talk some more on what ideas she had of what was going on with her friend. "So have you asked your mom yet about your real dad? You know since she obviously has no clue or even mentioned anything like this on her side of the family."
"Tamy, I'm not going to go find my father. I could just be a genetic freak, you know that right?"
"There is that possibility, but seriously, even genetic freaks have something in their DNA from their parents that leads to the freakishness." She looked to the fields as they would reach them and watch Lyra move further in. She knew to give all the space she would need.
Lyra looked about nervously making sure none would see, with the weather as it was it was less likely. She let the wind and rain wash over her a bit before she called the change in her mind. Having tried many times was glad it was now under her control. Soon her form would seem to grow and begin contorting and in moment the blue dragon, just bigger then a Clydesdale horse would be in her place. Her head would turn towards her friend and motion to come over. The only downside to this form was she hadn't learned to speak with it yet. Thankfully they had worked out their own system of understanding.

Saffron laughed at her friend, nodding.
"I couldn't agree more. In fact, since it's getting stormy outside, the swimming pool will be empty of people soon. Do you want to head over?"
She already knew the answer, though asking didn't hurt. Saffron smiled, darting off into a run. Alice would follow - or chase - and very soon they'd be at the pool, wrestling until one of them ended up in the water. It wasn't smart for Saffron to be in it, for just recently she had discovered that being in water made the Change come over her without her consent. Everything was uncontrolled if she was in her element - a fact learned by trial and error.
Saffron dashed around the edges of the fence that surrounded the swimming pool. In one sweep, she had flew over the surface and landed skillfully on the tile on the other side. Alice glared at her ruefully, mumbling something along the lines of 'show-off'. Nevertheless, she didn't stop, slinking off into the back part of the pool.
She had been right to think that the place would be empty. It showed signs of use during the day, towels discarded on the ground in haste. The surface of the water rippled, as though it was calling out to her. For all she knew, it might have been.
It was about then that she saw a boy, sitting casually on the roof of the girl's locker shack. A silver bird was perched on his arm, preening and fluffing its feathers. A gasp escaped her lips, not because of the surprise of seeing a falcon at a pool, but because of the boy. He didn't look normal, absent the fact that he was dressed like some sort of persian rogue. It was then that he turned, his eyes darting to her form like that of an animal being alert.
Eyes...eyes the color of crimson.

Alice ran after Saffron, laughter bubbling forth from her lips. Alice could control her transformation better than some, as she was always near some form of her element. It was a necessity. Buildings were made of wood, stone, and metal. Outdoors were plants and dirt. Nowhere was safe unless you could control the changes. Alice often wondered how in the hell air dragons could function in the modern world. If there were any air dragons left, that is.
Alice rolled her eyes as Saffron leaped gracefully over the fence and landed with no more than a soft thud. "Show off." she muttered. Her athleticism showed clearly through her carefully delicate facade as she climbed nimbly up the fence, landing on the other side with a thwump. A piece of her gauzy white shirt stayed at the top of the fence. Alice groaned. "My favorite shirt!" she muttered, her .38 and extra magazine showing clearly through.
She would have continued complaining if not for the shocked expression on Saffron's face. Alice followed her line of vision to a boy sitting on the roof of the girl's changing rooms. A falcon sat on his shoulder, and he, like Alice, was packing.

Tamera went to her friend smiling and petting her head softly before crawling up between her wings and finding a spot that hopefully wouldn't burden her friend in flight. "Ready when you are Lyra." She called out over the wind.
Lyra nodded letting out a small grunt before slowly rising to just her back legs and stretching. She let the feel of the wind pass over her like a drug she couldn't get enough of. She smiled a toothy grin before her wings would flap, and within moments was airborne. She stayed just above treetops at first, adjusting slightly with the feel of her friend. She wished she could explain to her how she felt when she was like this. Like there was nothing stopping her from reaching the stars. She soon would try higher feeling the air cooler and now fully above the storm. She looked to her friend knowing there was only so high she could go before it would be too stressful.
Tamera noticed the height and held on, this was something she had wanted to try, but also had a fear of heights. She noticed her friend look to her once they were above the clouds. "I'm still okay, the air isn't too thin for me yet, a little nippy though." She wondered if she was being too stressful for her friend though knew if she were Lyra would have stopped.

A disturbance in the air caught Kyte's attention, making him look up in curiosity. Down below stood a girl, eyes wide as she gazed up at him. She looked odd, hair as white as snow and eyes the color of a pale storm.
Atlan fluttered his wings restlessly, his head tilting toward the girl. Another girl took her place next to her friend, looking up to meet Kyte's eyes.
Damn it.
He stood then, the wind whipping his hair out of his face. He didn't really mind, for there was something that was nagging him. It might have been the way Atlan was acting, or it might have been something else entirely.
Kyte pushed off the roof, landing silently in front of the girls as though he had done so his whole life. His crimson eyes raked their forms accusingly, and part of him was urging him to change and leave immediately.
"Breaking and entering is against the law in some states."
His tone was clipped, voice sounding mysterious in the abandoned pool area.

She looked about the sky wishing she could find words to explain to her friend how this all felt. She closed her eyes a moment in thought before opening them as she felt her friend moving. She looked back seeing Tamera hugging her shoulders and could feel her shivering. That was it, time for home. She wouldn't make her friend uncomfortable, no matter how much she knew her friend could be enjoying this. She smiled a toothy grin before turning to head back down to the normal ground. The clouds giving them ample cover for the return trip. Once on the ground she would allow Tamera to get down and back before changing back to her human self. Now she was in her friend's care.
Tamera loved every minute with her friend above the clouds. She couldn't even begin to imagine how her friend felt being the one actually fly. She knew from previous comments and question how better her senses were. "I'm sorry if I caused us to stop too early." She said as she got the clothes for her. Once her friend was dressed more normally then all rags, she would help her to her feet. "Still takes a lot out of you doesn't it?"
"It's not as bad, it lessens every time I change. I'm sure if we had the luxury of doing so at least once a day, I would have much better control of it." She would smile weakly and allow her friend to help her walk for a bit. "It was refreshing though. It has only been a couple of weeks, but it felt like forever."
"Yeah, but you need endurance to so you don't just change. You know like in public when the wind blows just right." She knew her friend was weak when storms and windy days came. "Have you worked out the other tricks you've been noticing before the changes?"
"Not too much. Flying is harder without releasing my wings at least. Apparently I'm too skinny to have much restriction when it comes to bending air for a lift or a glide."
"Have you thought about using a broom?" She laughed seeing the look Lyra gave her and shrugged. "Had to ask." She turned seeing one of the city pools and some commotion. "Teens, crazy kids. Don't you guys know a storm is coming?" She called out knowing a lightning storm they flew in wasn't the best swimming conditions.

Saffron blinked owlishly at the boy, her pale blue eyes focusing on his face and then the piercing gaze of the falcon. It seemed to glare at her, demanding answers she herself didn't have.
"I come here often. Don't you know that pets aren't allowed in a public pool?"
Hmmm...he's kinda cute.
The small voice issued from her mind, quiet though commanding. Saffron tried to ignore it, blocking out the person that was so closely bond to her as her own sanity was. Even then, that was tested often.
A voice echoed from above, causing her to glance up curiously. Her eyes widened upon seeing two other girls.
How many people come to the pool after-hours?

"We should risk changing and get the hell out of here." Alice mumbled, moving her holster to her leg. When she changed, the gun belt would fit her dragon sized waist nicely. The boy was a problem, but the other girls would probably just attribute it to a trick of the light and a big bird or something. The boy would probably just be credited with hysteria or insanity or something. People were so believing these days.
