Two families became caught up in this feud. It happened centuries ago, and yet it still affects those born today.
Within each family there resides great power. For a while, both families got along, and they left each other alone. Until the fateful time that the eldest son of each fell in love with the same woman. As they competed for her affections, she slowly fell in love with one, and thinking that the jig was up, they fell steadily deeper in love.
The other son, scorned and angry, placed a curse on the other family. Little did he know, that the curse would affect both families. From then on, the families have only had male children. Their powers have also been weakened, and the only way to regain their full powers is to defeat the other family and take his powers from him. The only way to stop the winning family from ruling supreme is to marry as quickly as possible, and then the cycle begins again once the eldest son comes of age.
