xxx►xxDear Diary... Miyuki was born when both her parents were very young. Their parents had been against their being together from the start, but they had not heeded their warnings and they instead ran away together. They married and lived happily, anxious for Miyuki to be born so the could have a real family. They were joyous at first when Miyuki was born. Her parents had accepted her for being a zodiac member but kept the secret hidden so that she would not be taken to live in the Sohma Estate. Her family's life was a peaceful and happy one until one day her mother died in a car accident when Miyuki was only five. Miyuki's father lost himself in heartbreak, the loss of his wife had made him something inside him break.
After the accident Miyuki's father had become indulged in his work and drinking. He never found the time for Miyuki and made sure of it. On rare occasions when he did see her it was when she was cooking him a meal or he had just come home drunk on a rampage. On some nights it had gone so far as to when he began to beat Miyuki, repeatedly calling her a "monster" and convincing her she was the cause of her mothers death. Miyuki was emotionally scarred. Her eyes had lost any trace of life and she became quiet and never spoke a word, not even when teacher's began to ask about her bruises.
After a while her father ignored her completely, even leaving Miyuki home alone at the age of eight to go on "trips" that would last days. This meant Miyuki was forced to make herself a decent meal from whatever scraps she had managed to get at the supermarket. She had not told a soul what he had done to her, even after she was taken away to the Sohma Estate. Her father had sold her off for money to waste on booze and had abandoned her to live with the other Zodiacs. When coming to the Sohma Estate, Miyuki was an emotionless child and kept to herself. Miyuki was so scarred that there were times when she would purposely hurt herself and had even been hospitalized before, though this is kept a secret from the others.
Eventually though, her hard shell began to soften and she began to confide more in her relatives. She poured all her anger and sadness into making herself stronger and kinder. She took pride in making herself a better person, making herself someone that would help others despite her imperfections. Along the way, she found her love for music. Every time she began to feel down, it was always there for her. When she felt a sudden emotion overcome her she would put it all into her songs, though she does not notice her own talent.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Miyuki has a gentle personality despite her past. She is very sweet, loving and on occasions very motherly. Miyuki is a warm person and has a innocent personality, often getting embarrassed or flustered easily. She has a curious nature and is always dazing off into space, which causes her clumsy nature and tendency to forget small things. Miyuki is known to ask questions that make no sense, though in truth they have deep meaning. She is compassionate and stands up for what she believes in, though it causes her some trouble at times.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Suki was born by two parents. She never really knew here mom that well. When she was 4 her mom had died of and illness. Suki hasnt been so upset in her life when her mom died. Suki would hang out with her friends a lot to get comfort cause her dad was away on business alot. When Suki was 10 she was playing with her friends and ran into a boy. She transformed into a tiger and all her friends freaked out and ran away. She found out the next day that they didnt remember who she was and became upset since she had no more friends.
When Suki turned 13 she found out that her dad had died in an accident. She went into a depression because she was alone and she didnt know her cusins as well as she should. Suki now lives in the main Sohma Estate because she has nowhere else to live. She has a part time job to help the Sohma Estate with food and other supplies. She usually is talkitive when she gets to know people more.
When Suki first arrived at the Estate she was quite and made herself stay in her room alot but would come out and say at leaste hi to her new family. She loves to write storys to help her relieve stress that she gains from her new home. She now is semi-comfortable in her new surroundings. She talks more to her family and doesnt stay in her room as much. Suki really wants to be nice and fit in and not feel like and outcast even though they are just like her.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Suki is normaly shy when she meets someone new. She doesnt talk that much but she does smile. She also is nice. She shows this side to everyone hoping to make new friends and be more social. Suki has also the same personality at the tiger. She normaly lets people read her stories and lets them hear her sing when she knows them enough.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Tamari was raised away from the others at first because of her weird mother. It really had little to do with her sickness since her mother would often drag her into town to show her off as the new head of the family, maybe her mother just feared Tamari getting close to the others. In any case Tamari and her mother didn't get along resulting in allot of bad things mostly only for Tamari. Her mother began to call her Pumpkin which the servants thought was a pet name. In truth it was just calling her fat and ugly without looking like the b***h mother she was and Tamari knew it.
Year later when Tamari was finally introduced into the family she found out why her mother had kept her hidden, she had told them all Tamari was a boy. Tamari had to keep up this image on for reasons between her and her mother so only very few know of her real gender. Being seen by all as a boy her whole life and having the weight of the family on her shoulders over the years caused her to be bitter and unhappy. While being very good at keeping a public image of sweetness in school and public her family knows the truth.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Tamari tends to do what benefits herself over others even though she does do allot to help the family as a whole. Most of the time after she does something terrible she says sorry in her mind but has to much pride to say sorry out loud. She just gets to angry she acts before she thanks and often regrets it after even if you can't tell. She hates that only a few know she’s a girl and hates the guys of the family even more for not seeing her through it. She tends to be crueler to them because of this.

xxx►xxDear Diary...The mother and father to Tsuriai were deeply in love. Her mother was a nurse and her father was a writer. They had married in the spring with the cherry blossoms, but their relationship wouldn't last the year. The two soon decided to have a child in an effort to bring them back together.
Tsuriai was born, but only to her father. Her mother only stayed around until she was able to walk. Her father didn't even seem to mind that her mother left without word nor reason. She would frequently ask why her mother had left and about the beaded bracelet she always had to wear, but he'd always give a different excuse. So in an effort to distract his daughter, Tsuriai's father began teaching her martial arts. She took to it immediately.
Once Tsuriai hit middle school, it all went down hill from there. Her father began to start gambling and they were losing money. Tsuriai's temperament also began to change. She used to be sweet, caring, but she turned her back upon those feelings, becoming cold and tough. She told herself she must be strong always, so she should stop being weak and focus on herself. Her father desperately tried to keep out of debt, but to no avail.
He was forced to kick Tsuriai out of the house. She took few things with her and headed out to train in the country, away from people. She was gone for almost a whole year, training herself, becoming stronger. The Cat soon returned to society, but stayed away from any Sohma home. She stays in a small apartment that she pays for herself.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit...Tsuriai, due to her isolating herself for so long, she hates everyone. She especially stays away from other Sohmas. She feels that interacting with them is unnecessary and pointless. Except the Rat. She can't help but go into a blind rage when facing down the Rat of the family.
But when not fighting, she is calm, but still stubborn and unwilling to talk. She usually will relax when watching a sunset on a quiet evening. Though she can still get very violent, having developed a fighting spirit.

xxx►xxDear Diary... I may only be sixteen, but I believe I can safely say that I‘ve learned a few things from past experiences. I was born cursed, a boar of the zodiac. My parents truly loved me, my mom used to say, “I’ll hug you enough for me and papa.” However at age eight I lost my mom. My dad said it was a gang fight and she was caught in cross-fire, though they never found the shooter.
At age thirteen I was allowed to attend a public school. I was ecstatic until I met a boy who almost hugged me. It was then I realized how careful I need to be. I finished middle school with good grades and moved onto highschool.
In the past three years I have grown up a bit, though I still can act rashly. Recently I've been looking into my mother's case, albiet secretly. That's my life in a nutshell, and even I'm wondering how it'll all play out.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... persistent, loud, and extremely energetic. I tend to over-do things, but it’s just a sign of my love! I’m a fairly open person unless it‘s the morning. I truly hate mornings. ► Love them: Jun has a liking for books; often he will read whole volumes of classic novels in only one week. He loves to wake up early, not for reasons such as wanting to greet the new day, or even to spend some time alone, but because of the solitude. To him, the morning has its own freshness that can not be achieved any other time.
► Burn them all: Jun hates his father with a passion, somehow believing that he is the reason that his mother died so young. It is also the reason that he refuses to be called Jun. He cannot stand reading mangas, finding it to be for the lazy people who cannot even read a real book. Some will say though that he has an aversion to fun, often choosing to go for things that are more practical. This is the reason why he hates when people tell him that he should be more spontaneous and that he should try to lighten up and take some chances.
xxx►xxDear Diary... Seventeen years ago, Jun was born into one of the more distant branches of the Sohma family. His father was a rather arrogant man with big dreams to become one of Japan's best doctors. Except there was one thing that he did not expect, his short time girlfriend Emiko became pregnant after they had slept together only once. Junasaki wanted her to get an abortion, but being pro-life Emiko refused and begged from help from the Sohma family.
The heads of the family gave Junasaki an ultimatum, marry the girl and keep his reckless behavior a secret from the public, or become disinherited and have to drop out of school, get a job, and be forced to watch his dreams fall to pieces. The young man married Emiko in a small ceremony, but it was a loveless marriage. He never wanted a family and often slept around, leaving his young wife at the estate alone. She was determined to raise her child in a happy family so that he would be loved.
The curse came in effect though. Emiko went into labor early and delivered a small, purple haired baby. Wanting her husband to be happy, she named him after him; Jun as a first name and Kai as a middle name, after a Japanese legend. Even though her child was cursed, she fell in love with him from first glance, even though she could not hold him without him transforming into a seahorse (the current dragon form). Junasaki on the other hand, was disgusted by his son, wondering how his life could be ruined because of this child. Who would want to be seen with a man with a cursed child? He eventually left the family when the baby was only weeks old left the family, not without withdrawing all of his savings from the bank though so he would not be poor, causing the Sohmas to demand that there be no communication with him and Junasaki being disowned from the family.
Emiko raised Jun off of the main Sohma estate, choosing to still live on the property but to have her own home, and doted on her son, loving everything about him and Jun loved his mother. He would work hard in school to bring home the best grades in class, make hand made cards for no reason. It was his mother's hands that he loved the most though. Whenever he did anything good, she would caress his face with her soft hands and tell him that he had done a job well done. His Mama's hands had special warmth to them that made up for the fact that he could not hug her for comfort thanks to the curse. She was proud of him, even when he got into a fight in school after some kids made fun of his purple hair, calling him a freak (often the tormenters became the victims when Jun’s temper got the best of them and they got their noses broken). She would simply look over this and tell him that all was fine.
Tragedy struck though when he was only ten. When he came home from school, he noticed all of the heads of the Sohma family waiting for him at their home. They said that when Emiko had been walking in the garden by herself, she had a heart attack and died instantly. It did not take him longer than a few hours though to overhear a few of the maids talk in the garden, saying how Emiko had sliced her wrists in the bathtub and had bled out. Suicide, she had taken her own life for reasons that Jun could not understand and his own family had lied to him. Even though he acted older than his years, he was still a child and was treated like one. Nobody was acting meanly when they lied to him; they just wanted to protect him.
Without his mother, Jun was lost and did not know what to do. On her grave, he promised her that he would be strong, never cry. "I will be the best mama. You will be proud of me and I will never be like that a*****e Junasaki!" he promised as he left her grave for good and never went back, not even to visit. He changed himself in a way and began to poise himself with an air or self confidence and arrogance. In school he received top grades and often was considered as some sort of idol with the girls. He was considered interesting due to his purple hair, dyed a shade of black, his intelligence, his purple eyes, and the fact that he was from a rich family. It was his temper with others though that made him less desirable around some. When people would bring up his family and strange features, he would get into a full out fight the way that he would as a child.
The principle of the school would have to tolerance for this and told Jun that if he did not calm his temper down than he would be asked to leave. Instead of doing the sensible thing and cooling his temper, Jun choose to leave the high school during his second year of high school and carry on the rest of his education at the main Sohma estate, where he was preferred by the god along with the rat. He told others, when asked, that he dropped out because he could not longer stand to be around such idiots and risk sending out word of the curse. In all truths though, he was just tired of the fighting.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Jun Sohma is a rather straight forward and standoffish person. He hates his first name with a passion, mostly because he was named after his father, Junasaki, and when people comment that he was named after his father, he will often say that he was named after some sort of literary character. Even though he says that looks do not matter to him he is very proud of his good looks and likes to keep his hair long and washes it with herbal soap and conditioner. When people comment on the fact that he has purple hair (dyed black) and purple eyes, he will almost automatically assume that they are giving him a hard time and will cut them down.
As the dragon of the zodiac, Jun is very bright, a borderline genius. This often causes him to be short with people who are not as bright as him; sometimes he will even leave the room if he is too frustrated. This is one of the reasons everyone figures that he left high school and went to be home schooled. At only seventeen, he is in his senior year of high school. His relationships with others are strained, except for the few people he is kind to, the God of the zodiac being one of the people he has respect for above all others.

xxx►xxDear Diary...Okay first allow me to get something straight. my name is just Saru D. Sohma not some hidden word there my middle name is just D. not something like Dai, not Daichi , not Daiki just D.. Another strange thing about me is that I don't like water like I want to stay away from the sea like a stray cat would but even with this disliking I still partake in water based sports and swimming which is really strange.
Just like some of the people in the Sohma house I was never actually born into the Sohma family. Instead I was born in a small port town just south of here really. My parents had not known about the fact that I was born into the zodiac until my little brother had come along. His name was Mera D. Ace which was my original last name. The reason for this strange naming was because of my dad who was from the West as in America which is why I don't look like a normal Japanese person. I had only spent time in my biological family for about 8 years.
In those 8 years me and my brother had bonded quite well, he was only two years younger than me but was a bit taller. He had freckles on his face which were only evident when close up to his face. He also had sharp eyes a build just like mine and form brother to brother we both wore a distinct hat that I made for him when he was able to wear a hat with out destroying it. For a time we were the best of brother we fought together, we ate with each other, we fought with each other hell we did everything with each other. Even in school we lived a life of brotherhood staying close toe each other, helping each other back up after falling down, and even fighting side by side. It was a good life but that all changed one day.
When I arrived home with my brother from a school day me and him had been well roughed up a bit. Some bullies were beating on him so I decided to help him out, we won but with a few bruises and bumps and for me a scar. All that day he was lamenting about how I had gotten hurt because of him but it wasn't his fault so I decided to talk to him about what happened. I showed him the scar and told him that as long as it's there I'll never forget about him. Then as I reached out to give him a hug I fell back and that was the first time I had changed.
Once my mom and dad came into the room they were yelling to kill me at the top of their lungs. If it weren't for my brother intervening then I'd be glue for sure. After I changed back into a human he and I had tried to convince both of them to keep me. Sadly they disagreed and knew just where to put me. Disheartened the only one I would talk to would be my brother who was still by my side the entire way. Then it came the day I was leaving before I was leaving my brother ran to me and gave the the straw hat I now wear it was tied around with a red ribbon cause red was my favorite color. Then I had also made something for him as well, the thing was a set of red beads to be worn as a necklace and a pair of goggles with a face smiling and frowning on each of the lenses. With these items our relationship was strengthened and I cried as I left.
Today I live on the out skirts of town where I can go into town work, get an education, the small things in life and I'd still be close to the Sohma residence. Me and my brother have been communicating through letters we sent to each other by a special bird my brother now owns. Luckily he found me and where I was so we can openly talk to each other. But nothing can be compared to the day I'd be able to actually care for him again.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit...I'm known to be very tenacious meaning when I'm mad you would be the last person you'd want to fight. Though I can be like this it not very common of me to act like this. The only way you can get me like this is if you hurt any of my Nakama (People who are closer than family).
One of the traits I don't get from my curse is the fact I'm very happy go lucky. Even in some of the darkest times I'd probably be one of the only or only person with a smile. I guess you can call me a beacon of happiness. And with this happiness comes an endless reservoir of compassion for the people around me.
Finally the last trait that came from my family is that I am extremely loyal to my friends. I would go so far as to die to see my Nakama be safe in the end. Other than those traits I have the personality that comes with the horse such as my random impatience, hot-blooded which is mixed with my tenacity, my natural talents which a useful, and well wise I wouldn't exactly say that now most of the time.

xxx►xxDear Diary...In the beginning, life wasn't so bad, or at least I thought so. I had two loving siblings and a father to boot. My mother had died during my little sister's birth, so father took care of us all. Momma was already kind of distant from us, due to my older brother.
Then, when my little sister hugged me, we all found out that I was an abomination, just like my older brother. Although my older brother was a regular, more human kind of abomination than I am. They sent me away, when I was only two years old. When I got to the mansion, I stuck to Jun, even though he didn't want me too, I just stuck to him like glue. I adored how his mother loved him so and grew up to be as loving towards Jun as she was, even after she died.
Even when he got teased about his purple hair, I stood by his side and actually tried to help him against the bullies. Right smack in the middle of last year, I figured that I would help anyone and so I made a little business out of it, although at the beginning not a lot of people even wanted my help with their lives.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit...strange, to sum it all up in one word. I'm also very against fighting, so I will only fight for a friend. I'm not easily angered at all and it takes a long time for me to actually be angry. I'm extremely silly about everything, making everything that is good something big and joyous to celebrate, like somebody's birthday. I also have a tendency to butt into other people's lives, even if they don't want me too. Unfortunately, I don't deal well with crowds so I can only hang around in a crowd for so long until I get overwhelmed by it all.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Michiko was an orphan, who never knew who her biological parents were. She was left on the steps of a church-run orphanage, and was raised with other orphans under the extremely strict rule of the nuns. Because she was a small, quiet child, she was a prime target for bullying. She was tormented everyday, just because the other children were miserable themselves. But she never fought back. It wouldn't solve anything, she believed.
And then when she was ten, a couple visited the orphanage. They saw her sitting by herself, and talked to her, finding her absolutely charming. Michiko herself was quite fond of them as well. They adopted her that very day. It didn't take long for them to feel like they had always been a family. Michiko was never happier in her life.
However, tragedy struck one night a year ago when they were traveling to a high school reunion of her mother's. It was storming badly, and visibility was poor. Her father didn't realize he had started to drift into oncoming traffic in time and collided with another car. Then another car crashed into them, and another, and another. In a matter of seconds, there was a pileup. Only Michiko and one other person survived. Her parents had been killed instantly.
Michiko spent several months in the hospital, with her adoptive mother and father's parents spending almost all their time with her in her room. By the time she was discharged, she was so behind in her schoolwork that she had to be held back. Deciding it would be best, her adoptive mother's parents took her in and enrolled her in a nearby school to make a new start. But Michiko refused to burden anyone, and moved out to be on her own. She found a job as a cleaning lady, but it didn't pay much, so she wasn't able to afford a place of her own. Michiko currently lives in a makeshift tent in a wooded area, too stubborn to move back in with her grandparents.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... She tries to be a perfectionist and tries to do everything alone and for herself. She does not like to be pampered, stating that it makes her feel like a useless child. Due to her treatment in the orphanage, she is awkward around her peers, but does just fine with adults. She is also embarrassed by the multiple scars on her body from her accident, and wears long-sleeved shirts and stockings at all times, even in very hot weather.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Fatema was not born into the sohma family, in fact she was born in a trailer-trash nobody family. Though her parent tryed their hardest Fatema always wanted more. She was never happy with the simple life and used her smarts and body to raise her rank though school and relationships. She hardly had to buy a thing for herself after turning 16, knowing how to play others to get what she wanted worked amazing well for her.
She met Tobi Sohma in high school her 2nd year. She never completely fell for him but the size of his wallet sure did help. She got pregnant a month or two after they got together and a year later they were married. During her pregnacy the older sohma children approached her, touching her belly and crying. It was a complete freak out, at the time she had no idea about the sohma curse but Tobi knew what it ment right away. A month later the former god died and Fatema went into labor almost at the same exact moment.
Tobi around this time became mysteriously ill and died when their daughter was about a yr old. Fatema didn't seem seriously upset about this, the only thing that seemed to bother her was not having someone to throw Tamari on. She became bitter about being held back from her party life and started to make rotten comments to her and the other children of the zodiac. She would call them rotten and spoiled or even pick about how some were so horrible their mothers hadn't even bothered to stay.
Her relationship with her 'daughter' was horrible and she even raised the child as a boy for kicks giving Tamari a bogus reason to keep up the act. She told her daughter to fight against love because if her family found love they would all leave her and she would die alone misarable and sick. She told her to pretend to be a boy because they would never obay a girl and would leave her that much faster.
Now that Tamari is over 18 yrs old she leaves the house often for bussiness trips and partys, hardly to be seen around the manor.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Miyuki was born to a wealthy family, her father; owning a large set of companies, her mother; a pianist, and her older brother. For a while they lived happily. Miyuki and her brother received everything they could have ever asked for. They were living the life every normal kid would have wanted, being loved by everyone around them and brought up well with the best education and support. When Miyuki was 12 though, her mother was overcome with an unknown illness. Her father did whatever possible to help her, but in the end it was useless. Miyuki's mother died, leaving her father heart-broken. Miyuki didn't know what to do without her mother there. She was lost, and so was her father and brother.
After her mother's death Miyuki's father became engulfed in his work and completely ignored her and her brother. He acted as if they had never existed and Miyuki could not accept the fact that her father didn't acknowledge them as his children. Miyuki couldn't understand why he would treat them as such when they used to be such a happy family. When asking her brother, she simply ignored her and walked away. Even her brother had begun to stray away from her and Hanako had begun to feel so very alone. One day she approached her father and asked him why he no longer cared for them. In response he slapped her hard across the face and sent her flying to the floor. Looking at her in disgust, he simply responded, "Because I wish that you were never born." That's when Hanako knew she would never be the same again.
Soon after that event Hanako went into a depression and locked herself in her room for weeks. Even if she wanted to leave she feared that once she left the room everything would still be the same again, she would still be alone. One day she finally left her room, accepting the fact that her father would never love her. She moved into her Uncle's house and lost all contact with her father and brother. She became a child that was angry at the world. She pushed everyone away from fear of being hurt anymore then she had already been. Hanako began to get into fights, eventually getting to the point where she became a delinquent. Students avoided her in school, having heard of annoying rumors that were far from true. Teachers ignored her from lack of faith in her studies and gave her disapproving looks. If anyone really did confront Hanako it was either a fellow delinquent or someone asking for a fight.
In her second year of high school, Hanako met Miyuki Sohma who had just transferred in as a new student. She had known them as the stuck up family who lived within walls, closing themselves off from the rest of the world as if they were too good for anybody else. Hanako had disliked her from the very beginning despite Miyuki's kindly nature. She would ignore Miyuki's attempts at greeting her and reject any offers of friendship, but Miyuki never seemed to give up the hope of being Hanako's friend.
One day, Hanako had come across a fight, only to see that it was a rather distasteful girl trying to get Miyuki to apologize for something. Hanako pulled the girl away from Miyuki and pushed her away, telling her to stay away from her or else. After the girl had ran away, she asked Miyuki what she had done to piss her off. Miyuki gave her a kind smile before telling her that the girl had been speaking about Hanako in a bad manner. Miyuki couldn't stand for it and asked the girl to apologize. The girl, who had been trouble from the start, had gotten insulted and tried to force Miyuki to apologize instead. After hearing this, Hanako gave her a pat on the head and smiled for the first time in a long time. She and Miyuki became close friends and Hanako cares for her like a mother would a child. Despite being this close, Hanako knows nothing of the Sohma Curse and Miyuki intends to keep it that way.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Hanako has an outgoing and kind personality. Though she can be charming and compassionate, she never backs down from a fight. She will never start a fight unless it is with someone who is harassing someone close to her. She is an athletic person and is smart despite her yankee-like nature. Hanako is stubborn so when it comes to competition she does whatever it takes to win. She is protective of those close to her and cares very much for them. She is sarcastic and arrogant, but is in truth a gentle person. Hanako is a senior in high school, and though she does not have many friends besides Jun and Miyuki.

xxx►xxDear Diary... Shang Wang, better known as Kanae (the name that she gave herself) was born in Shang Hai, China. Her father was a business man and her mother a Korean born daughter of a diplomat. The couple did not marry for love, choosing to do so because they both considered themselves to be highly intelligent individuals of good stock that would produce an intelligent, likable, and cunning son. They were right that their child would be intelligent, having an IQ of 167, likable, being able to go in a room full of strangers and come out with a handful of lifelong friends, and cunning, being able to see past the outer shell of a person. Yet they were wrong on one thing, it was not a son they produced, but a girl. Thanks to the one child law in China, they were devastated, a girl would not be able to carry on the family name, nor would be ever be expected to be the boy that they dreamed of.
Despite the disappointment of her gender, the baby girl was given the name of the son that they would have preferred; Shang. Growing up in China, Shang was easily liked and thanks to the strict schooling and her high intelligence, by the age of eleven she had already learned English, Japanese, and for the fun of it was attempting to learn German. In her all girls school she was the top student and had eve been promoted a grade. Of course her parents were proud of her, her father often saying that she was the son that he had never had. When she turned twelve though, her mother found out that she was pregnant once again and her father decided to retire, having made enough money in his career and moved to Japan.
When the family arrived, Shange decided that she hated Japan more than anything else, the girls in her middle school calling her “fried rice” or making fun of her appearances. On top of it all, her parents got their baby boy. Even though they still loved her, Shang felt like she was living on the outside of her family. It helped a little though that her brother was growing up to be as dumb as a post and mean as a viper, quite the disappointment to his parents. Shang, on the other hand, was still pushed aside while her parents dealth with her brother’s problems. That was when she started acting out.
At the start of her seventh grade year, Shang made a point of getting her parent’s attention. Her long black hair was violently chopped off into a borderline crew cut, with the craft scissors from her old art kit and dyed a shade of pink. If that did not get people’s attention, she had pierced her lip, eyebrow, tongue, and her ears in about three places. Despite her strange appearance, people were intimidated by her sheer intelligence and her newly found temper. To make herself a new person, she began calling herself Kane, a female Japanese name that she picked out. It was then that she met Jun Sohma and became friends with him after she had gotten into a fight with a few of the guys giving him a hard time, never being able to just stand by and watch somebody get picked on for no reason.
Years past and Kane grew up into a well rounded and intelligent woman. She chooses to live in the apartment above her parents’ café and is also a literature major at the local collge.
xxx►xxSo I'm a bit... Kane is a genius to be blunt. Her sheer intelligence is what intimidates people at first, due to the fact that she is almost always quoting Shakespeare and other poets. At first, one might see her as some arrogant street punk when in fact Kane is much more. While her style might be strange she is a kind girl who adores her friends and relaxing to be around.
