In my opinion Halo is better ... though I can't exactly play COD or Halo online, so my opinion might be skewed to the only offline play parts ... in my opinion COD needs to bring back Co-op campaign mode

I hate comparing two different FPS based on the fact that they are both FPS's
Most votes will be biased on a personal level anyways. See you could compare games like COD and Medal of Honor because they are closer in terms of Gameplay other than the single fact that they are both FPS's
Halo's pick up a gun and rape is very much different from COD's load out and go Out method of weapon usage. Not to mention, if CoD ever had Jet Packs it'd become the worst noob tube fest in the world.
My point is, They're both good in their own respects.
the real arguement, PS3 vs 360. Without fanboy(girl) favoritism of course.

You can compare these games. They are at least both FPS. In terms of the general package, Halo would have it as it includes the campaign, multiplayer and multiplayer customization, firefight, forge, and theater. COD on the other hand has the campaign, nazi zombies, multiplayer, and the new theater mode. Firefight and nazi zomebies are fairly equal, with the edge given to firefight (I just enjoy it more), theater mode in COD ripped off from Halo, and campaign both equally epic. Forge adds another whole dimension into the online Halo community. Graphically, the COD series does in fact look better, in terms of models, but not textures. Halo: Reach seems to have a frame rate hitches here and there in gameplay and even the cutscenes, which takes away from the overall epic feel, while COD runs smoothly on a 60 fps rate. In terms of style of play, COD is more of a twitch shooter, meaning quick firefights where reflexes and experience prevails, whereas in Halo, players are rewarded for constant steady aim. My vote goes to Halo.
