FA being hacked?!

Rumor has it that FA has been hacked and compromised, and several accounts have either been deleted or had their galleries deleted.

I don't know this myself as I haven't logged in for several days, but when I tried to get into FA's forums today it said "Forums down for maintenance". Sure they are. I seem to at least be able to log into the main site account.

Fingers are being pointed at either LULZ or angry cubporn lovers who are pissed that FA just recently banned cub porn, and then Ink Bunny followed suit last week. Or maybe it's cubporn lovers ON lulz. Guess they're angry they don't have a place to look at their gross pictures. :/

In any case don't be surprised if you notice something wrong with your FA account.

Yea, FA keeps on timing out for me. It's getting pretty annoying.

I have 200 submissions and 500 journal entries and I can't deal with them ;_;

As for the hax? FA wasn't successfully hacked. Just about all of the admins had their profiles hacked, and the site of FA had a serious problem with an XSS hole in their security. Hackypeoplejerks were attacking, but they moved/redirected their domain to a new server temporarily in order to avoid attacks long enough to patch things up. Suffice to say, they're trying and things are getting better.

So far, there really aren't legitimate reports of deleted profiles or galleries; not that I've seen or had verified. Other than the admin's themselves, of course. The main concern is that with access to admin controls and such, that the hackers will be able to view personal information that users have input, as well as their private messages.

Admin accounts were accessed. This allowed a hacker-person to access Private Messages. They deleted some galleries (Zaush, Dragoneer), posted some mocking journals, made some commentary in the site announcements, demoted admins/mods and made a bunch of them show as "deceased" and then...The biggest thing...Is they leaked PMs. There are allegedly 41 users who had their information compromised, but only a small fraction have had their notes publicly posted (Dragoneer, Zaush, Clayton, Pinkuh, Allan, among other well known names...) and it is unknown who the other victims are and how much info the hacker has.

Yeah the sluggishness of getting through the site was pretty annoying.. having to refresh like 50 times to try and send a note to someone.. omg. -.-

Well, a few weeks ago there was a site ban of anything considered "Cub Porn", which may have pissed off a bunch of people. Also, Dragoneer and his staff are not always well liked in the community. Some people think he's a tyrant and an a*****e, surrounded by yes-men and people who give him blowjobs for services.

Well I think all art sites have some some drama. This sounds like this one has a boat load xD But I hate it when people don't listen to warnings and then report your work a friend of mine on DA did an amazing picture of Orihime laying in the position of the girl from Titanic when she was being drawn. and she had it with a warning and it was even rated as u couldn't see it without clicking it and someone still reported it and it was taken off...

I have seen much worse art before and by worse I mean sexual/creepy I mean this one guy did a picture of a guy with his limbs chopped off by a creepy scientist guy and the scientist was fondling the guys junk that deserved to be reported and kicked or at least needed a severe warning label >.>

So idk some sites have way to much drama and way to many issues. but thats the way the world is.

I do wonder if Dragoneer is the best admin of fur affinity. I mean, he was just handed the website by the last guy. I get scrutinized more for a job at McDees. And the guy seems to really love getting gay porn of his digimon dragon fursona, and doesn't seem to be entirely tolerable of criticism of him.

Also, I question his mod staff. I saw a guy named GetOutOfMyHeadCharles who's "fursona" was the Juggernaut (b***h!), who got banned for harassment, although everyone I know who knew him said he was an allright guy. And over at the forums, I've seen DeoVacuus tempbanned twice and I think she's a great person and have no idea why she was kicked, and her buddy AssWings was permabanned.

There should be order in a site, but when you turn your site into a hugbox, where everyone kisses everyone else's a** even if they do something stupid (like "I just showed my parents my furry porn and they took away my internet btw I'm 31" and people are like "aww it's okay your parents are evil"), and where even the softest ribbing or teasing gets angry reprisals from the staff, it just starts to get ******** annoying fast. Admins should let people slide unless they are clearly a major disruption or irritant and are severely disruptive to the site.
