Diego met Christine in a REALLY geeky internet forum.
Intrigued by each other - they then chatted everyday.
Diego sent Christine a dozen red roses.
Christine then cried and babbled on in what probably seemed like nonsense and how he’s the love of her life.
Friends and family argued that both Christine and Diego were probably
old fat 50 year olds pretending to be who they were not.

That didn’t stop them.
2 years later – Diego finally convinced his parents to bring him to Canada
to meet Christine for the weekend.
She was REAL!
They graduated high school and Christine flew to Los Angeles to stay for 6 months.
Diego went to Victoria to Christine the next summer for a couple weeks –
Christine went to LA to visit Diego the next winter for a couple weeks.
They hit a speed bump…
... but got back together.
Christine convinced Diego that he had to meet her best friend,
so he came back to Victoria in the summer of 2010.
Christine then came to California in the winter--
--They went to Disneyland and he proposed with crème brulee and white roses.
Christine then almost cried and definitely babbled with a bunch of “YES” ’s thrown in and “OMG” ’s
