So... I just joined the guild, and after the necessary introduction in the introduction thread, posting my birthday, reading a few of the stickies in teh main forum, I gravitated here.
I'm not usually very angry, and most of my rants are usually sugar fueled and full of things to laugh at. But my best friend is seriously pissing me off.
Yesterday I was in such an awesome mood all day. I think its because I stayed home sick the day before and got like a bajillion hours of sleep. But anyway... I have this hat. It's one of those hats that has flaps that go down over your ears, and has strings hanging down from those flaps with little yarn pom pom things on the end (really small ones, not those large obnoxious ones that get stuck in your backpack straps) and one of those same strings hangs from the top of the hat too. It's striped, with red, yellow, black, and green. A lot of people say it looks Jamaican. I got it in Paris.
I dubbed this hat The Hat a while ago, as I've had it for probably two years, and I love it!
Best Friend: Hates it.
He doesn't like the style, or color, and I totally get that. He is completely entitled to his own opinions. Fine.
He knows that I know he hates it.
But does that stop him from making mean comments everytime I wear it? No. "Can't you at least get one in different colors?" He asks. He even looks at it hatefully.
What makes me so angry is that he knows it makes me upset for him to constantly be bashing my hat, but that doesn't stop him. I mean, the guy is awesome, usually, and I just don't get why this is one subject he has no sensitivity on.
Then today. I wasn't in such a happy-go-lucky mood, but I wasn't in a bad mood. And I didn't wear the hat, because it wasn't very cold, so I didn't think I'd need it.
All was good until lunch time.
I'm one of those people who
can be friends with most people. I am pretty good friends with people all over my school. This often leads to clashes between different friends of mine, but I deal with it.
Today, at lunch, we were walking back to school from Burger King (Off campus FTW.) and I saw another of my friends, whom Best Friend absolutely positively dislikes. So he and our other friends keep walking as I run over to say hi to other friend of mine. That's fine, I could catch up easily. EXCEPT Best Friend just has to spend the whole damn time walking back to school hating on my other friend. Fine, you don't like him. SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT. So then he got mad at me for getting upset with his constant hating, and I walked away to yet another group of friends, ignored best friend, and even got picked up early (not on purpose) and was actually happy to not have to sit through a class with best friend ranting at me about how much he hates my hat and/or other friends.
GAWD. I mean, this rant makes it sound like he's a pretty bad guy, but usually he's awesome. Hell, he's my older younger brother!
He just really pissed me off today, and I don't even want to talk to him. GAH.
Frankly, I am glad I just joined the guild, I had no where else to rant about this. I want to keep it away from my friends, considering they'll side with best friend, or get mad and go yell at him, and then he'll just get pissed off at me.
