Ghost Pancakes Alexx Scraves This thread is utterly retarded. You don't sit down someone and tell them you like anime or star trek or any other fandom, why is this a different situation? It isn't that big of a deal; stop being a pansy and just tell them if that's what you want. But really, is it that big of a deal? If someone wants to know about your interests, they will ask you. Enough said I agree, I don't feel the need to tell anyone unless they specifically ask. It's not like it's some huge thing. It is far less tolerated than liking anime or star trek though. I think the main problem the OP is having is that most people really stigmatize furry fandom, so in an unaccepting environment it can cause you to be the target for less-than-friendly behavior. Lots of people with only small exposure to the furry community think it's just a fetish.

Lots of people with only small exposure to the furry community think it's just a fetish. I know, but ehh.. Sometimes you've got to learn not to give a s**t what others think about you. If you're really afraid of people knowing you're a furry, you shouldn't tell them. The few of my friends that know what furries are hate us, but those friends are the best I've ever had so they don't need to find out.
