What movies should be made into video games?

They did. It was an abomination that didn't follow the games in the slightest. Although Bob Hoskins was a good choice for Mario.

I think they need to make a Metal Gear Solid movie, since that'd be the easiest to adapt to film. Anyone other than Christopher Nolan prolly couldn't do it right.

Any movie that anyone considers even a little entertaining should never be made into a game. Movie-games see short lived success then they take up room on my store shelves. But game-movies are quite interesting and offer players a chance to see their game world translated onto the silver-screen. A Starfox movie would be cool, or Metroid. A Final Fantasy movie done right would be quite lucrative as well. Heck, even a Bubble Bobble movie would be cool. And I know it's a shmup but R-type would be awesome to adapt to a movie.

You could probably make a decent game adaptation of a movie if you weren't forced to get it out to correspond with the theatrical release.

Not like movies based on games are much better, though. At least when you adapt books or TV shows you don't have to worry about how to deal with that pesky 'interactive' element. Or the fact that most games really don't have much of a plot.

i never said anything about that movie because i refuse to believe it exists anywhere now.

Streets of Rage or Final Fight

have it directed and co-written by Sylvester Stallone, I'd watch the s**t out of those movies. An 80's/90's game movie directed by a prominent 80's actor.

I take The Chronicles of Narnia for example.
One of the characters abilities was to climb a pole. Amazing.

Personally, I find that movies that are made into video games never do well besides the normal Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc. But if they made Avatar and Inception into video games I would definitely buy them. biggrin
