"Hey...get off me!" NAME: Alexander Seth Marcel (goes by both Alex and Seth)AGE: 22SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual (Straight). But actually Bi-Curious..PESONALITY: Normally pretty easygoing and open minded so he tries not to judge people he doesn't know without sitting down and talking to them, but focused when a task comes around that he needs to get done. Little things really bother him, and he has a tendancy to bite down on his knuckles or run a hand through his hair when frustrated. A gentleman towards women. His partner drives him up the wall at times, but he's learned how to handle the man's grabby hands pretty well. Naturally quiet in that he doesn't usually speak unless he feels he absolutely must put in an input; even when he does he speaks in pretty short sentances."I'm going out for a bit. Don't wait up." NAME: Luce (also goes by Luke because it's easier to pronounce) SailingsAGE: 24SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bi-Sexual (Currently in a Homosexual Relationship)PESONALITY: Hard to figure out; generally he's easygoing, but he never reveals too much about his private life. A manipulative little b*****d who knows how to get what he wants, but at the same time he can be oddly childish and stubborn; really he just likes to make people squirm sometimes. Can be smooth with other people, very charismatic, and has great attention to minor details. It helps with his...occupation. Doesn't mind indulging his boyfriend from time to time, but has equally no problem with turning him away if he's busy doing something that involves his work.

Alexander Seth Marcel Groaning, from within the bedroom of a large hotel suite with a direct veiw of Paris' sights a mass of sheets and pillows rustled, one hand shooting out from the covers to grope blindly for a digital clock on the bedside table and pull it closer. What time was it..? The little red numbers read 7:04. Which meant it was probably time to get up. But was Alexander going to? No. Getting up in the early morning had never been his strong suit, that was for sure; any of his family or formor girlfriends could easilly attest to that.
"Besides...Chris'll wake me up when it gets too late.." The twenty two year old muttered, burying himself back under the sheets again with a sound of non-commitance; hopefully when that happened it wouldn't involve groping and fondling, like it always did (for being so quiet, the man was quite hands on). He was certainly forward with his attentions, if nothing else. "Damn European time zones...." Really, why the hell he'd picked to be a detective was beyond him sometimes. But then if he thought about it, his career choice had always been between a detective and a cop, from the time he'd been younger. Being a detective was less risk, and sometimes higher pay depending on who you were dealing with, too.

Chris Reed" Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth getting my heart broken everyday , but then I look into those beautiful eyes and I know that yes , it's totally worth it... " Chris was awake long before Alex's digital clock had even read 5:30. He was currently running one two hours of sleep and even though he was sort of aware that he was tired, he couldn't sleep. He'd been up all night researching their latest case and sneaking glances at Alex's adorable face while he slept.
Chris sighed. As much as he had been trying to capture Alex's attention if only for the moment to turn him even the tiniest bit towards the gay direction. Chris couldn't understand how anyone could like the female species, they did nothing for you. Guys could fill you so much better then a girl could, they were better in every single way yet he choose them over him. Chris was so much better then all of Alex's girlfriends by a billion an 20 billion... It angered him.
Once he heard Alex's alarm go off he made his desision, he wouldn't go at Alex anymore. He wasn't giving up on him but Alex didn't seem to want to change his mind. No, Chris would admire Alex from afar, maybe throw something in every now and then but his previous tactic was failing greatly.
By 9:30 Chris had a nice perfect temperature coffee in his hand just the Alex liked it and set it on the man's nightstand, lightly shaking his shoulder. "Rise and shine sleepy head." He said, loud enough to awaken him but not loud nough to damage his eardrums and went back over to his own bed, going back to his laptop.

Alexander Seth Marcel "Rise and shine sleepy head." Muttering out a set of completely unintelligable phrases and jumbled words, Alex reached out a hand to lazilly swat at the nothingness that awaited it since Chris had already gone back over to his own bed. It could be rise and shine in another twenty minutes, he decided viciously (even though it was already well past nine), burying his head under his pillow with a growl; however, one thing Alexander had never been able to turn down was a good cup of coffee and so like it or not, before it ran cold he'd have to get up, so it was with a slow heasitation that he uncurled himself from his blankets, sat up and reached for the mug, still half asleep but trying his best to wake up. It was a problem for him; anytime before about eleven you could have told him to kiss a sheep and he probably would have done it for more shut eye.
"Thanks..." He managed to get out before a long, toothy yawn assailed him; taking a long sip of coffee, the twenty two year old set the mug back down on the nightstand before reaching up to attempt patting down his pillow messed hair while keeping his shirt from riding up. "You look like hell." He commented, scowling at the cowlick that refused to stay flat. "Didn't you get any sleep at all last night?" Not that Alexander was one to judge anyone's sleeping habits...but sometimes people who didn't get any rest did odd things, like walk into walls (his younger brother Nate) or walk out the house only half dressed (his even younger sister Malina). In Alexander's case, he was just, as already stated, unnaturally easy to manipulate.

Chris Reed" Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth getting my heart broken everyday , but then I look into those beautiful eyes and I know that yes , it's totally worth it... " Chris sighed. Alex was so nice to him. Pfft, not... "Yeah, I got sleep about...." He paused as he mentally counted. "About two hours, give or take, I woke up a lot." He murmured. What he wouldn't mention was the reason why, that one thing he had been hiding from everyone that no one knew, that one fear that consumed his mind everytime he closed his eyes or any time he had nothing better to do then think about it... He shivered a little.
With a sigh he closed his laptop. "Ready to start our investigation today? I ave a list of people for us to talk to, backgrounds on potential suspects, places to search, blah, blah, blah." He said, expertly tossing everything he had done onto Alex's bed then stood. "I'm gonna go shower." He announced, grabbing his clothes as he disappeared into the bathroom, quickly getting into the shower.

Alexander Seth Marcel Alexander paused, looking at Chris over the rim of his mug. Two hours? That was it? Definately not healthy; Alexander could sleep like a log, through almost anything if he needed the shut eye. "Ready to start our investigation today? I have a list of people for us to talk to, backgrounds on potential suspects, places to search, blah, blah, blah." Grunting at how much work that sounded like (though in reality it wasn't, and once Alexander was fully awake it would be nothing), the twenty two year old ran a hand through his hair, trying to settle himself as Chris announced he was going to go take a shower.
"Sure thing; I'll be ready to go in about twenty minutes, give or take." He estimated, waiting until his partner had shut the door before grabbing a set of clean clothes out of the duffel bag shoved under the hotel bag; packed along with the neccessities was a picture frame of his family, just for a reminder of why he was a detective and why he kept going. His family had never been anything but supportive, so it was Alexander's job to make sure they'd never once misplace that trust. "Things...are getting weird." He muttered, pulling his sleeping shirt up and over his head before rummaging around for something a bit less rumpled. The thing was, as strange as it sounded, these days Alexander was seriously questioning his sexuality; not that he didn't still find women attractive because he did, but Chris, who Alexander had learned (quite quickly), worked on the other switch, wasn't bad either. Almost cute.
"But like a rabbit, or Malina's pet hamster.." He reassured himself, pulling on a clean pair of pants after the shirt, running a hand over his face to wake himself up a bit quicker. After that was done and Alexander was at least somewhat alert, he took a seat on the bed and began to flip through the research he'd been given. For nobody to have caught this guy yet..he was some thief.

" Chris came out of the bathroom an hour later dressed, showered, clean, and ready to go. "So are you ready to go?" He asked, putting her pajamas and other nessecities into his bag. He stood up and grabbed anything else he would need, stuffing them into his pockets and the bigger items into the messenger bag he carried with him on scene.((wow.... block))

(Bahaha....it's not even two minutes into the case and Alexander is already being groped. XD) Alexander Seth Marcel "Yeah..I'm ready." Since they would be staying in the hotel for a few more days while information was gathered, Alexander didn't take much time in putting his things away; kicking the duffel bag back under the bed, the detective ran through a quick mental checklist of what he would need, grabbing his phone, the hotel room card, his badge of ceritfication and a small handgun kept in an inside pocket of his coat. All information and needed papers were carefully folded up into a tiny square, which he also put away into the pocket of his jeans. "I figure first we go check out the crime scene, and interveiw some of the workers." He suggested, already halfway out the door. Alexander had made sure there would be a cab last night to take them straight to the Louvre, too, so getting there wasn't much of a problem either, and the ride was very quiet since Alexander wasn't in the mood for talking. He rarely ever was in the middle of a case.
"Bonjour, bienvenue!" (Hello, welcome!) Noting how the entire building was closed off in the traditional yellow tape, the twenty two year old merely grunted and nodded his head to the woman waiting for them just inside the area; small and slender with long dark hair and wide blue eyes, if Alexander hadn't been in professional mode he might have thought she was attractive. "You two are the detectives? Thank you for coming to assist." Polite and cute; yup, definately his type. And she spoke English, which made things a lot easier.
"You'd be suprised how long we've been on this case; I'm Detective Marcel, and this is my partner Detective Reed." Feeling a hand on his backside, Alexander immediatly whirled around to grab the offending limb, which suprisingly did not belong to Chris but rather a man who looked just like the woman standing in front of them. "And this would be..?" The woman looked horrified, while the man, not so much; actually he looked rather proud of touching Alexander's butt indiscriminantly.
"Oh, I'm so very sorry! This is my older brother, Salim. We are in charge of the inventory here." Salim grinned and began spouting off a series of jumbled french sentances, which Alexander didn't understand. "Um, ah..he says it's nice to meet you." She wasn't about to tell him that he'd actually just asked Alexander to have his children; Salim had always been homosexual and Alexander was just his type, unfortunately.

Chris Reed" Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth getting my heart broken everyday , but then I look into those beautiful eyes and I know that yes , it's totally worth it... " Chris smiled and waved at the nice lady, hiding the spark of jealously that flared when she happened to catch Alex's attention. He wanted to slap her. How was she better then he was? She wasn't. She was female, moody and unstable. She was no better then a pile of dog poop. Chris wanted to start shouting cuss words and cursing out the world for Alex to think she was cuter the Chris was. It was infuriating. But, instead he hid those emotions, kept his friendly smile, nodded when need be and acted like the good, innocent detective who just wanted to get he job done and save these poor people.
That face almost blew into peices the moment Salim's hand made contact with Alex. He felt his temper flair higher then it had with that stupid woman. He could handle the female speices but what set him off was when a guy was interested in Alex. Chris was gay and it was way eiser to spot when a guy was being a little more then friendly. Chris was angered once again. Yes, Alex was adorable but he was obviously of the straight persona, Chris on the other hand was gay and available yet he was still the one who never got looked at by anyone. It took everything in him to hide the hurt and rejection he felt as he followed Alex. "Where are we going first?" He asked softly.((poor Salim.... Doesn't he know Chris is gonna shoot him in the crotch for that? xD))

(I doubt it; he's probably as aware of that as Alex is of how there's a fight going for who gets to rape him first. XD) Alexander Seth Marcel "Where are we going first?" Though that question was directed at Alexander, it was Salim who answered it, taking the twenty two year old detective's hand, brushing his lips across the top; again with the french. Already sick of it, Alexander turned to the younger woman, who had introduced herself shortly beforehand as Nichole, for translation.
"Salim says he will take you wherever you want." She muttured out with tinted cheeks; rolling his eyes, Alexander withdrew his handgun and pressed the barrel end to Salim's forehead.
"Thank you, but that will not be needed." Seeming to get the message, the french man sighed and slumped away, leaving Nichole in charge. "The Mona Lisa, right? (of course, it's always the painting that gets stolen..) I'd like to take a look at the display case, and if you could provide us with the police case records from where it was swept for clues the night of the crime, that would be appreciated." Nodding and folding down into a curtsy, Nichole hurried off, leaving Alexander with his partner. Noting how Chris was less then his usual self today, Alexander gave him a firm pat on the back. "Chin up, Detective." Was all he said, heading off towards where up until recently the Mona Lisa had been kept. "After we're done today we'll go out drinking." Alexander wasn't about to talk about how overly emotional he got when drunk, though; best to keep sober to avoid that.

Chris Reed" Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth getting my heart broken everyday , but then I look into those beautiful eyes and I know that yes , it's totally worth it... " Chris sighed. "I don't feel like drinking tonight." He mumbled. He was more concerned with wanting to murder this Salim guy. How long would a detective get put in jail for murder? Then again he could always hide it... He was a profesional dective and he knew the best ways to cover up a murder... His gaze fell on Alex and he felt his heart melt. Why did this man have to capture his heart? Why was it that the one man who hurt him the most from rejection could make Chris' heart stop with just one glance? He didn't know but he hated it most days... That slow painful day where he would have to deal with wanting someone who would never want him. He sighed and went to go inspect the place to where they had been sent.

Alexander Seth Marcel "I don't feel like drinking tonight." Barely catching Chris' mumbled sentance, Alexander sighed and shrugged; what the hell was bothering his partner so much today? True, he didn't know too many intimate details about the guy and he preferred not to since that would be just asking for a world of trouble, but Alexander knew he was usually much more upbeat then this.
"Suit yourself." If he was going to be a killjoy Alexander wasn't about to try and change that; especially since the position was usually his to uphold. Noting Chris's gaze fall on his form, Alexander arched a brow but offered his partner a half smile none the less before focusing on the display case; at about that time someone else (not Nichole and thankfully not Salim) made their way over to hand him the police records. "Thanks. Alright, well it doesn't say anything else was stolen, but if you ask me that's just stupid. I mean sure, you take the Mona Lisa for obvious reasons, but why the hell wouldn't you grab something else with less security along the way?" He muttered, hopping over the obstruction that usually prevented tourists from actually touching the display case, running his hands along the bottom. "Doesn't look like there was any forced entry on the case, either, which means he'd have to have a set of keys for getting to the painting..The police find any fingerprints?"
"No sir; the authorties are positive gloves were used to prevent fingerprint detection; and even then they would have been wiped away from cleaning the display cases every night." Grunting to show he'd heard, Alexander furrowed his brow, still running his hands along the bottom of the case before squatting down to insepct the opposite side of the obstruction; maybe he'd get something from a different veiw.
"I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary here...anything on your end, Chris?" Running a hand through his hair in frustration, Alexander frowned; usually there was something buried underneath everything else, and it really didn't matter who found it as long as someone did.
