Just a minor setback, like misplacing a $20 bill, to us.

They have 1.2m worth of hacked MS points, unless they need to pay a fine in points, they could be in some serious trouble. >,>

Reverse engineering an algorithm like that doesn't sound illegal to me.
It sucks for indie developers, but in the end Microsoft can only blame itself.

It's not as if they took it all themselves.

It's like if someone blew up a bank and everyone in the city took some of the money.
Even that seems like a harsh compassion. This whole thing is sort of in a grey area of the law.
