This really isn't something to 'lol' about.

I really feel sorry for all the people hit by this, good luck to them and the people affected by the following tsunami.

Oh I heard about that. My class was non-stop about this topic. Apparently the tsunami or earthquake will hit where I live next. But they say it won't be much but my other teachers tell me different. Not sure what to do at this point.

You think? Hm. That would take time though. Plus no one else seems to be running. I'm thinking it won't be as bad as my teachers said it would. Then again we are due for an earthquake.... *sigh* Difficult times. Oh well. I'll just hid in the earthquake bunkers they have outside the schools.

I'm a bit appalled by the lack of sensitivity both from the people in this thread and by Gaia Online itself. Really, a disaster hits and their first train of thought is "Lets make items to sell!" Even if the first ten thousand dollars made from them goes to Japan, it still seems kind of tacky to me.

Well as distasteful as it is to say, "some" people will need a little push to help support or at least want something. stare

And then there are some 'younger' users that want to donate, but cant such as this person says...name taken out as to not name drop...

Quote:
And as I sadly cannot donate a penny (stupid parents)

I have been in the forms, seeing people care, hope, troll, and just think that this is going to be the start of the 2012 end of the world crap, but I recently went back in and saw this...

Shake of the Earth,
Roll of the wave.
Devastation hit them Just as hard.
Rip the Many;
Souls Of;
The Young, The Old, and the Free.
On this day,
Many were lost.
Many were hurt.

Far and Near,
Lets all join together.
Pray, Hope and Help
The Japanese.
Help as they would help us.
Keep in mind,
How lucky you are,
How lucky you are right now;
To be in a warm, Safe, Place,
Which others are frantic and Terrified.

If you can help anyway,
Please do.
If you cannot Donate,
Do Pray then.

Lets hope,
That they will recover soon.

Actually, I said this in the quake form, but it sadly didn't pick up.

Kayian
For most of this morning I have been watching this form and I like how much support and caring can be seen and as for the "others" who just want to make jokes about this, take the time and listen to this and think.

They did the same with the BP oil spill.
~Shrug~
People try to make money.
If that's how people contribute, then fine.
I mean s**t, the worst people can do is buy the donation items on the market just because they like how they look.
Just donate to a cause.
If they were serious, they'd look elsewhere or donate a s**t ton.
I see nothing wrong with it.
Lots of places are doing it and it's nothing new.
:/
