Love and condolences for our friends in Japan for having to endure such a horror. *cries*
I wish them much strength to pull through these hard times.

ごめんなさい!!(gomennasai !!)

A moment of silence for those lost and a prayer to find those still missing.

O_o; This thread comes pretty late in the game, doesn't it? I mean, it happened like over a week ago. But, yeah... of course.... natural disasters happen everywhere. Japan is a strong community, they can pull through just fine. heart

Actually I think they're doing a lot better then most would. They didn't lose as many people because of that bad earthquake they had before and made their buildings able to stand up to such a thing.

And like last time they're probably take a moment morn then brush themselves off and get to work. They can be quite amazing. I personally don't think we'd fair nearly as well as they did.

Also, better late then never! At least that's my two cents on things. sweatdrop

They're pretty used to dealing with stuff like this over there. They pretty much just pick up the pieces. Quite stoically, really. I have seen far worse disasters with far worse effects and absolutely no logical response whatsoever. Japan is untouchable by comparison.

True...
They're a tough people.
Tougher then most.

And I suppose living on a giant island gets you used to flooding.
But the fact it went in SOO far...
That's what I find frightening.
(even hawaii and california had small amounts of flooding)
All caused by a stupid earthquake, and one of the largest ever recorded.

And now they have those nuclear reactors to deal with.

It's just one problem after another.
Hopefully things clear up soon.
I can't imagine how long it'll take to rebuild everything V_V

Actually, almost every time Japan has any kind of earthquake, there are effects seen on nearby islands, including Hawaii. Anything that affects the ocean causes splashing. 3nodding The nuclear reactors are mostly their fault, tho. Should've been more cautious. *sigh* But I suppose a thousand disasters could be described the same way. Stupid people.

How exactly would you blaim them for the nuclear reactors evil
PostPosted: Fri Mar 25, 2011 10:34 pm
Haven't you read the reports? They over-stocked on the amount of rods the facility could handle and failed almost every safety check for the last decade without fixing anything.

*blink*
WOW... didn't know that O_O

One thing I could never figure out though...
If there's a chance of a meltdown, Can't they just dump cold sea water directly into the core to completely kill it?
PostPosted: Sat Mar 26, 2011 9:44 pm
Lol, I think you need to read up on nuclear stuff. The physical heat is a byproduct of the radiation. It's the radiation that's the real problem. And there isn't enough water that could be stored and/or transported fast enough, anyway.

Due-ly noted V_V

I still hope they can get everything back to normal ASAP.
Enough people have been lost.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 27, 2011 7:48 pm
I'm sure they will. They're much better prepared for these things than most countries. If you paid attention to any place but Japan, you would have noticed the thousands of lives lost to natural disasters last year as well.

But I have no interest in any other place

Why would I bother when Japan Rules !!

It is after all the birthplace of the best animation in the world.

Not like anyone else could challenge them.

Though Korea does just as good in the music industry.
(gotta love the "Girl's Generation" and "Kara" pop groups)
xd

Of course korean and chinese girls are just as cute.
eek

Though I think I just have a thing for asian girls.
