I multiply the average price by the quantity of the item--then round it down.

I always round because marketplace goes through a number of hormones and people don't buy much anymore. You want to sell in a way that it is fair for you and them--and attract customers that will buy it.

Some inks are worth zero so I vend up. My point is that gaians don't like to pay much for anything lack the empathy to earn gold. Plus with market place being indecisive most of the time, I suggest this with most items. (unless they are virtually worthless)
