Bats!

Are so adorable! And one just came to visit. Sadly, I had to stun him by turning on the lights so I could send him back outside. But he was too cute and the poor think was shaking so bad I could feel him through the towel. So I made sure to send him out quick.

I had a hawk eat out of my hand before. He also tried to eat my finger but I'm too quick.

XD Smooth. The closest I've been to a hawk is about ten feet since the trainer was holding it... But I got to hold a baby alligator! With its mouth taped shut...

Yea. I live in an area where they are tons of alligator and number one fact is that their jaws can crush your skull. Fact two, they have a sensitive spot in there mouths, like a pressure sensor, that makes them close their mouths.

I know =^_^= That's how people are able to stick their head in their mouth. They tap the outside of their jaw so they desensitize them. There are a few alligators around here. Mostly people are smart enough to not mess with them. Plus, the known ones are on the Marine base.

Where do you live? I'm in Louisiana.

South Carolina. But not for much longer crying We'll hopefully move back south soon.

Aww...but the south is better than the north. I should know I went up there. It's too cold, the food is small and bland, and the people are more racist than the media makes us. ((Not all...just Ohio.))

Well MD is kind of stuck in the middle so we get both. And living in a miltary town, we get people from all over the place. Plus, you'll never get good seafood outside of MD. Baltimore is famous for it's crab houses.

I miss seeing fruit bats every night sad

I lived in Okinawa Japan for 4 years and we had lots of fruit bats, BIG ones.
There was one that liked to land in the tree next door, and his wings were at least 4 feet from tip to tip.

There really great to see flying to, there not like most birds, they flap there wings REALLY slowly, so majestic <3

Id love to take care of one someday.

I would have to say fruit bats, especially the Madagascar fruits, and spotted bats are my favorites. I did a powerpoint in my biology class on bats and freaked everyone out, even the male teacher O.o People are so goofy.
