- Parties were the most horrible form of social interactions. The bane of Odette's existence. If it wasn't for Colton and Jamie's persistence about "how awesome this costume party is going to be" she'd be handing out candy to neighborhood kids and not feeling like her legs were going to give. It was so crowded. The three young adults had arrived just moments ago, all in costume--Jamie was the devil counter part to Ode's dark angel get up, Colton tried a little less and decided to just ruin his old high school football jersey--but now the blonde girl found herself alone and bumping elbows with just about everyone who had shown up. For such a secluded place is was weird that so many people had came. It was defiantly the perfect place for a Halloween party though, creepy past all belief. And dirty. Ridiculously filthy.
A drowned out whimper of a sigh escaped her as she tried to find some kind of familiar face, but it was no use. Everyone was decked out in seemly flawless costumes. Who knew rich kids would love run down mansions so much. There were various platters all over the place of various foods, none that she would even consider touching. Not that she was hungry really anyway. The smell of the house itself was enough to rid any sane person of their appetite. There were a few people congregating around food though, a couple people by a punch bowl that was filled with what looked like thick kool aid and a guy who was hoarding candy skulls. Were the hosts Mexican? Who were the hosts anyway? And how the hell did Jamie know them? If she found the girl she was going to wring her neck for leaving her by herself in a crowd of strangers.
With another sigh she followed the flow of people until she managed to break free and stand against a dust coated wall. She didn't dare sit on one of the damp looking couches, there were way too many people to sit down. It was a mystery to her why people would want some stranger's a** in their faces, but whatever.

- There were more interesting things to be doing on Halloween night, but Pyre showed up to this dreadful party anyway because everyone was going to be there. She had to make an appearance. It wasn't her idea of fun to be a stuffy, crowded place filled with supernaturals. Whatever, it didn't matter. It was all about appearance. Maybe she'd get the chance to mess with people. That would hopefully make up for her wasted night. Upon her arrival, she was deeply disappointed at the appearance of the venue. It was about to fall apart. One misstep or spike of anger from her and the whole rotten thing would be up in flames. 'That could be interesting actually...' No, she should to behave herself.
Arms decorated in painted on red-orange tendrils that mimicked licking flames pushed through idle bodies as Pyre made her way up the creaky steps. Finally though, she made her way to a breathable area of one of the many rooms. Thankfully, she ended up near a drinks table. That was exactly what she needed. A strong drink. There was a large punch bowl presumably filled with foul copper smelling liquid, because it was the most popular dink among most beings, and few other bottles hopefully most of which were filled with elixirs to ease the mind. While fire and alcohol weren't supposed to necessarily mix, she was going to need to be at least on the road to trash faced drunk to make it through the night.
She plucked a clear bottle filled with clear liquid and poured it into a cup. God did she hope it was vodka. Tilting her head back, she managed to down most of it in one sip. With a smirk she removed the cup from her lips and blew out a little flame. Yup. It was alcohol of some sort. As long as she didn't just chug a glass of nightlock infused something or another she'd be perfectly fine. There were a few faces she knew, none of them she felt like talking to. "It's ridiculous how many beings showed up on Halloween..." She said aloud, to no one in particular.
