Biography: From the time he was born, Shin has always belonged to the academy and the organization; trained to be a fighter from the time he could walk, though coming from a rather poor and uninfluencial family there was never any denying just how much of an asset he would be upon maturing. His mother and father, heavilly engaged in the arts but never really making it big, encouraged their son to do his best at all times, and taught him many forms of expression; Shin's favorite, as was his father's, turned out to be the piano and inbetween practices he enjoyed sitting at those keys every chance he got. As it turned out, Shin was not only talented with his fighter abilities but with his hands as well, and by the time he was eleven he was selling out stadiums as a professional pianist. Needless to say his parents were well supported, and Shin was given quite the reputation.
In fact, it was during one of his piano preformances that Shin met his Sacrifice; having graduated from the academy without a partner, Shin had more or less given up to focus on his musical career. However, a very specific family visited his concert hall one night; a pair of brothers and their mother. The youngest brother, having fallen asleep halfway through the show, was carried out by his mother; Shin wouldn't have thought much of it if he hand't brushed hands with the remaining boy. And needless to say, the rest is history.
Personality: Though always seen with an open and friendly smile, Shin is exceedingly apathetic at best to the plights of most people, and he doesn’t have a problem with tossing others aside if they get in his way when he wants something. Passionate, creative and quite charming when he wants to be, Shin is exceptionally good at finding ways around any obstacle that might be placed in his path, and though it is rarely shown he does have some compassion. This is best exemplified by how he seems to treat Shirou a bit more gently then others; however, it could just be Shin’s knowing how important the boy is as a sacrifice and that he could break fairly easily. Shin still works as a pianist...he likes to think of himself being a fighter on the side.

Biography: Shirou grew up in a normal household, with a father, a mother, and a little brother that meant everything to him. Katsuoki was the reason he was living; his brother was the only person he actually really cared about, even with their loving parents. But then everything sort of came apart when he found out his true name. He was found by the organization who then gave him a Fighter; Shizaya, Yuuya. He was favored by the head of the organization, which caused more and more people to fight him because they wanted his position. He wanted out, but it wasn't all that easy. A few months before he planned his escape, he found his true Fighter, and cast Yuuya to the side because he never really liked blank Fighters anyway.
He staged his death with his real Fighter and disappeared. Eventually, he wanted to take on the organization because he felt as if it was their fault he couldn't be with his brother...
Personality: Shirou is a hard person to figure out. One moment he's all smiles and gentle helpfulness, but the next he can be the one stabbing you in the back. He's a tricky person, and trusts no one but himself and his little brother....and maybe his Fighter too. He's mature for his age, and he's also very sly. Even when he's not fighting, his words are something people should be careful of....

Biography: Shin grew up outside of the academy, but never too far from it. He attended the school regularly, learning how to be a sufficient sacrifice, properly control fighters, and build up a tolerance to pain. His father was always off on business trips, and his mother's physical health was always very poor. Since they were wealthy, a personal nurse always attended to Shin's mother, often leaving him unattended. Shin would spend his days sculpting or attending extra classes at the academy.
Personality: With Shin, there are no gray areas or any middle grounds. Everything is black or white, true or false, or wrong or right. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, even if what he considers "right" or "wrong" is different from others. Shin is very much a loner, often preferring to do things on his own. He does not make friends easily, nor does he really want to. He is not very private, however, and will almost always answer any question asked about him honestly.

That improved their somewhat rocky relationship somewhat; but Ryo still can't get rid of the things he was taught in the past and still finds it hard to trust anyone but himself.

Biography: Shun was born to an average family, having a older brother before him, and soon after a younger sister. Finding that he didn't have much of an attachment to them. His father a drunk who often drank himself into aggression verbally against his mother. Only pissing Shun off, he always challenged his father verbally. Whenever his father became verbal to his mother he would step in simply because it seemed right to shut the man up. His father often sending threats to Shun if he didn't keep his mouth shut. But Shun was a dare devil so he would taunt his father knowing that he wouldn't dare do anything. Things continued, his brother graduated from high school and collage but was unable to find a job. His father taking his aggression out of his brother, leaving Shun annoyed even more. Soon enough his house was only a place that annoyed him, and every time he taunted his father and his father threaten to beat him he would simply claim he'd leave and never come back. His father not truly believing it but to afraid to actually confront it. He knew his son loved to press the limits of others and he left it alone.
It wasn't until his family decided to buy their own home that Shun finally snapped. His father asking his opinion on houses and whenever Shun would give it, his father would simply say "Well, who cares about your opinion anyway. Your opinion doesn't matter to this family or anyone else." So he just decided to stop giving his opinion and yet his father continued to ask. Unable to deal with the constant running around mentally with his family he just snapped at them. Yelling that they wonder why life is so hard because they cause every problem themselves. That his father would die an alcoholic without a real family. His own father slapped Shun, giving Shun the push he needed to leave his house. Wandering about Shun came across his true name Fearless. It seemed to fit him truthfully, and he was satisfied with it.
Personality: Shun likes challenges, he can't say no to them, even if the odds are ridiculous. He'll do whatever he can to win, even if it means to step on some fingers. He doesn't like to betray others though, tries to avoid it, a little torn when it comes to winning things. Since he is so bent on winning he some times doesn't see the true picture at times. Or having sympathy for his opponents, which is fine in a fight. But in regular life, let's say during a race he may be a bit to ruthless. One to tease others Shun isn't the ideal friend at times, poking fun at others is a big thing for him. As for empathy, he can understand another person's feelings, and empathize with them, if it isn't during a challenge.

Biography: Isamu grew up on the streets of Tokyo, his mother had abandoned him in an alley-way where a band of small time thieves found him. They raised him as one of their own, so as a boy, he worked for his food, running so fast that not even the guards could catch him before he had eaten it all. Then he was found by the organization. They took him in and found that he was a Fighter, but they knew he hadn't had found his mate yet. So they found his. Since they rescued him from the streets, Isamu has always been on their side.
Personality: Isamu has always been a fighter, so he's extremely fierce with people, even without meaning to. He's only kind to his Sacrifice, which means that everyone else gets his crueler, rude side. He has no respect for authority and tends to dismiss whatever they may be saying by a hand wave and a, "yeah, yeah, whatever." He also has a serious sister complex, and one of the thieves he considers his sister. He's extremely smart and has a tendency to baffle people, which just makes him angry.

Biography: From a very young age, Akito lived on his own, scraping by; his mother and father having both died in a car accident, Akito was passed about from heasitant relative to reliative until he finally found a home with his well meaning uncle. Or at least he thought his uncle was well meaning; not so much after the older man attempted to rape a then seven year old Akito, who only managed to escape by bashing a lamp over his care-giver's head. For many years Akito's uncle looked for him; Akito never allowed himself to be found, and instead made a living scamming others with his age and inexperience, picking pockets and the like. It wasn't anything Akito found himself to be proud of, but it was much better then living in constant terror everyday.
Eventually though, Akito was picked up by another family, who ran a charity orphanage; at first he didn't trust any of them, but they were actually very kind to him and over time Akito found he didn't mind having a family, no matter how skewed, as much as he had previously. He's been there ever since, working odd jobs to keep the house afloat while dodging his sketchy uncle.
Personality: Shy and reserved, Akito might as well be considered mute due to the sheer lack of vocal communication he participates in with others; however for as little as others know about him, the eighteen year old is incredibly knowledgeable and capable so he's used to shouldering heavy burdens and reliances. Generally sweet and never dominant, Akito is more of an optimistic people pleaser then anything else which leads to his being taken advantage of quite often, usually without him even knowing it. In a lot of respects he's got growing up to do; in terms of many of the world's cruelties he could be considered naiive, even though he's experienced many of them firsthand. However, Akito has difficulties forming real, tangible relationships, and it in this deliberate dislike of intimate contact where he fits his true name. Can be exceptionally vengeful if you press the wrong buttons; you can thank his uncle for that one.

Biography: Yuuya had been six when he lost his parents and was taken in by the organization because the head and his father had been friends. The head trained him to become a Fighter since then, but he never actually had a true name, despite becoming one of the best Fighters there ever was. When Shirou was found, Yuuya was immediately given to him, and Foundless's name had been carved into his right hip.
But then, he was thrown away when Shirou found his real Fighter, and supposedly 'died'. Yuuya refused to take on another Sacrifice, and every time he did he was punished; because Fighters were only possessions. They really didn't have a say in what they wanted when it came to their Sacrifice. He decided to run away, but is currently being chased by the organization, because the head wants his best Fighter back.

Biography: For the most part Katsuoki grew up as a normal child, well protected by a loving mother, a stern but fair father, and an older brother, Shirou, who meant everything to Katsuoki; even when Katsuoki's father died in a hit and run carr accident, Katsuoki was able to cope with the measures quite well because he had not lost Shirou. However, Katsuoki's mother was not in the same boat; after her husband's death she became a mere shell of herself, walking about in a daze, ocassionally seeing him in Katsuoki especially. The boy probably should have seen it coming, when he came home from school at the age of nine to hear that his mother had murdered his older brother in the midst of her less then well mental state.
After that, Katsuoki was hardly the same; Shirou had meant everything to him, protected him from his mother. To have him gone absolutely tore the boy apart. Knowing how dangerous it was to stay with his mother some of Katsuoki's other relatives offered him housing, but Katsuoki declined, knowing he had to stay beside his mother until the very end. Not many people know of the life he keeps hidden away from others, and most believe he's just excessively clumsy. To keep them from ever learning Katsuoki has joined a number of clubs such as art and theatre, but even when he's there, it's like he isn't.
Personality: Quiet and generally solitary, Katsu doesn’t have many friends and he likes it that way; though able to fit in or blend with almost any group of people, there has yet to be a place where Katsu can admit he truly feels “welcomed. Despite being only seventeen Katsu is exceedingly mature for his age and handles many obstacles as life experiences where he can display his great intelligence, however much of his personality revolves around a protection of the self; he’s great with listening to others due to his rather need-nothing nature, but prefers to never talk about himself. This often leads to others finding it exceedingly difficult to get to know him, and oftentimes if someone pries too far Katsu becomes angry; however at his core Katsu is a pacifist and so when fights take place, no matter who began them he is always the one to bear the brunt of the abuse. In terms of personal experiences, Katsu is quite sheltered; though he knows many things he has never personally fallen in love, or dated another person.
