Books and Textbooks

How to make one!

Current Book/Textbook Manager: Essy ze Ninja

Are you interested in writing us some books? We would love to have them posted here. Any books posted here will be shared with Hogwarts books. Here is the simple process we're looking for:

1) Post your book in the subforum as U/C (under construction). The title of your book as the title. You may choose to write a book that exists in the Wizarding World (please do!) or you may write your own books. They must be PG-13. Dark Arts books are fine. No graphic scenes and such.

2) The first post should be the title page (title of the book, author, genre/where it is located in the library, summary, etc.). Make this book look amazing!

3) Begin writing your story/book. You may separate it by chapters for each post. Just make it look good. More than just text in a post.

4) When you have finished, please edit your title to say, "Title ~ Please Review" or "Title ~ PR". A crew member will then come by and check out your book to make sure it is appropriate.

5) If the crew member sees something wrong with it, they will edit the first post and say why (just like student profiles). If everything is in order, the crew member will edit the title to simply say, "Title" and then lock the thread so that no one else may post in the story.

Original stories belong to their respective owners. Any evidence of plagiarism will be dealt with accordingly.

Please make sure a story has not already been written (we do not want two versions of Beedle the Bard, for example). Unless, however, your version looks nicer or is written better.

You are welcome to use any book released by J.K. Rowling (e.g. Beedle the Bard, Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them, etc.) as long as you make sure that you cite the book correctly at the bottom of your story as its own post (to do this, go to easybib.com).

Professors are encouraged to write their own textbooks, especially if it is common for them to say "turn to page...".

These are not required, but greatly appreciated.

Any questions or if you want your Book/Textbook reviewed, please feel free to PM a crew member.
