I finally bought Minecraft.

I'd like to play with yous guyses! Tell me where you play! I've been offline this whole time.

In a day I have built a cliffside fortress, tamed 3 wolves and died about a hundred times.

below my little fort, there's a farmland, which I am going to irrigate with the waterfall I installed.

Fort started out as dirt, but I'm upgrading to nice looking sandstone, and I'm about 75% done with the conversion.

Only really noticed Devon (he's a mod) and AK on there though, but I think others such as Xilo have been on.

i havn't been on that server since the last time i saw everyone, i got bored with it cause notch isn't updating anything important, just bug fixes and such.

also since its in the UK and im half way around the world its laggy.

which makes monsters suck even in full diamond armor wtih a diamond sword and a bow.

also

notch needs to make it so that where players have been excessivly building, monsters need to not spawn, that way in those locations like the respawn and peoples houses they dont get ambushed.

I considered Terarria, and it honestly doesn't look as interesting. Steam support is cool and all, but aside from that it's only got a few cool items, but that's about it.

I really like designing in 3 dimensions.

I just built a lookout tower to go along with my cliff-side fort.

When I clear a cave I build a smaller tower on the nearest hill, with torches on it. So I have 3 towers now. There's a big old cave right by where my first night's hole was.

I find Minecraft to be more of a personal experience. Terraria definitely benefits from playing with people, and ultimately becomes more fun than Minecraft that way.

It does some things better than minecraft. Like introduce gameplay.

its like taking minecraft and turning it into super metroid, you really cant lose with that.

Terraria:
Spells and Magic
weaponized explosives, including bomb arrows
a wide assortment of weapons, some craftable, some legendary found only in chests in deep dark dangerous areas.
many enviroments to explore, with more on the way.
more colored blocks to build with
blocks that standing on them can hurt you (spikes, hellstone, etc.)
GOOD and SENSIBLE liquid physics.
Boss monsters and special events that can occur later in the game. including multi servers.
dying doesn't ERASE YOUR s**t. unless you go hardcore.
we got actual money.
we got a doctor who, mario, link, and indiana jones outfit.
stuff you make doesn't break after so many uses. (cept some ammo)
and no exploding land and building damaging enemies (yet. who knows right?)
Enemies don't spawn where you and your NPC's live. (except during some events but atleast it makes sense then.)

MC (these are thing i like in each game btw)
the carts. a 3-d enviroment uses them best.
portal system. now that its working in servers its so nice to have.
some of the new switch mechanics are cool, like powered rails, dispensers, and the like.
the ability to fully make your own avatar. (though i wish he'd break down and make it really customizable.)

clearly the terraria list is longer. and we are expecting an update thats gonna include some neat stuff, and fixes for the old stuff as well.
