Im thinking of making a game similar to Dead Rising. If you don't know what the game is, you have to walk around a mall collecting random objects and kill zombies while surviving a time limit for the game.
I need lots of weapon ideas, but they need to be practical things you might or most likely will get in a mall, mega-mart, etc.
So far, I have these...
Baseball Bat
Golf Club
Bomb
Handgun
Toy Sword
Hunter's Knife
Hammer
BB Gun
Brass Knuckles
Candy Cane Prop (if there were christmas props, similar to a cane)
Hatchet
Chainsaw
Butcher's Knife
Slingshot
Toy Lightsaber
Nail Gun
Staple Gun
Torch
Metal Pipe
Wrench
Shuriken 9most likely a toy item...xD)
Shovel
Wooden Board (also w/ nail)
Crowbar
Fire Extinguisher

Tennis Racket

Frisbee (throw it hard to chop a zombies head off.)

anything not nailed down, including but not limited to:
Chairs
signs
machetes
I know at least two stores in my nearest mall with katanas in them, as well as throwing knives, throwing stars, etc.
small clothing racks, the kind that have clothes on all four sides but arent big rings.

i gotta say thats already alot of freaken items dude XD so do you plan to hAVE a one item at a time max. or a small inventory... mhhhh why not a squirt gun with lighter fluid and a match. you know in dead riseing they had that dubble chainsaw thing.
also what about vehicles???

@ blazzer it may be alot of weapons but in dead rising there was a big variety. I want an even BIGGER one.
vehicles? in Dead Rising 1 I dont think there were vehicles. I'm going for Dead Rising 1-type stuff, not DR2.

Why not throw Katana's up on that list, you can find one in Dead Rising (yes the first.)
and while we're at it let's add BB Guns, Tires, Toolboxes, Glass, Lightbulbs and TVs, Game Systems, Nunchaku, Sticks, 2x4s, Guitars, Amps, Drums, Any Musical Instrument, Everything you would find in Automotive, Pencils, Pens, Beer, Just about anything in Hardware, Outdoor and Plumbing.
