FALLING THINGS WHERE FALLING! Tahki managed to dodge but still. FALLING THINGS WHERE FALLING! OH JACK! The gryphon managed to get away in one piece unharmed with her hat intact.

Oh right she needed to sign up. The gryphon gathered her self up and approached the sign up sheet

Sparrow, for the most part, quite enjoyed the library.

Except right now it seemed as if something very massive had gotten angry and thrown a tantrum smack dab in the middle of it.

Frowning, confusion furrowing his brow, Sparrow peered around one of the rather large stacks of books, trying to figure out the source of not just the noise, but also what exactly had made the enormous mess that had used to be the library. Having spent most of the morning in there studying, everything had been quite peaceful.

At least until the crashing sounded.

Then the bangs. Thwacks. Crashes. Clunks.

And now finally, Avery - the grumpy looking librarian whom Sparrow thoroughly enjoyed teasing - had rounded on them all demanding help.

"Erm," said Sparrow, staring out across the sea of scattered books, papers, pens, pencils, and other miscellaneous junk that stretched across the library floor, which had disappeared from view. "I don't mind...er..."

Another book fell off of a shelf with a plunk.

"...helping out a bit..."

It had been the loud 'thud' that drew her towards the library. She'd never actually stepped foot in it before...until now. Curious little she-wolf that she was, LW had gone to find what the source of the loud crashing sounds had been as well as the voices. What she discovered was, well, not what she expected. And she'd never seen the two - were they librarians? - males that were bickering. It was kind of amusing.

Almost getting smushed by a falling bookcase was not so amusing.

LW jumped back, bumping into other students that were gathered around. Her tail curled around her legs to keep out of the way of falling objects and feet.

"Um...okay?" Blinking at the two and briefly looking to her sides at her fellows, LW didn't know what to say. Without even offering, they were being drafted to help?! The she-wolf hid a snicker behind a cough. Well, if anything, these two were hilarious to listen to! Wait, they couldn't use abilities? Well skulls! This would be interesting.

Amphi had heard that the library of the academy had finally opened and had stalked around. She cringed as she heard yelling of some of the attendents in there but held fast. Being that she did love books, and that she learned most of the stuff about landwalkers in there, She really wanted to sign up.

"Excuse me?" She opened the doors before looking around and noticing the two men. Walking up to them hesitantly, she smiled and looked around. "I heard your looking for help here? I would love to help out." She gave them a shy smile and hoped it was okay that she had come in.

Jove had no idea what all the banging and bumping was, but something was definitely going on in the library. And he wasn't very happy about it. The pup seriously needed to study, but if the library was closed, how was he going to get at all the books? There was valuable information that was just waiting to be crammed into his fluffy little head, and he couldn't have access to it?

He frowned and frowned more, until the mention of helping came up. Fluffy ears perked. So if he helped, he could get into the library sooner?

Jove signed up.

And then realized a couple familiar names were already on the list. He trotted over to the group quite happily and wagged his tail at his friends.

It was hard not to hear the amount of banging and crashing going on, and Astra wanted to know exactly what was going on. The library was usually a quiet place, somewhere were she could hide out for a while, as well as do some extra studying when she had to.

But as she walked into the library, she screamed as a bookcase came toppling over her, and she barely managed to fly out from underneath it, but not fast enough to dodge a book coming her way.

As she lay stunned on the floor, she heard the librarians ask everyone for help. She decided that, while she was here she might as well help out, thinking that the sooner they fixed up everything the sooner she could find someplace to hide and...well, read some books

Only a few times had Bea stepped foot into the library, seeing as she always seemed to get lost in the school, she tried to avoid walking around alone or without direction. This time however, she was hoping to find some romance books to read; though she assumed the library might not have them. She walked around from shelf to shelf, running her fingers on each book’s binding as she looked for no particular book.

THUD!

The sound of the shelf crashing down was very sudden and all Bea could hear afterwards were two unfamiliar voices quarreling. She cautiously blinked her way, like a wisp, towards the two people as the words were becoming clearer. Eventually, Bea had realized this would make a great opportunity to spend some time doing something productive.

"I'd love to help," said Bea, without skipping another beat.

She looked around her to see a few other students, some who she had met before, already willing to help as well.

Harriet usually spent all her free time in the Library so of course when all the destruction occurred she heard the commotion and wondered what was going on to disturb her personal studying. Placing the book she was currently reading down upon the leather winged back chair she usually occupied, she strode down the aisle of bookcases in the direction the noise had come from. Coming to a central spilt in the aisle that ran centrally she turned and peered down the next aisle, which was the one before a second turn to get back to the library's entrance, she could just see down that aisle a few books lying about on the floor and two students in sight. Curiosity got the better of her and she rounded the corner and headed down the aisle.

At the end she simply stopped as a small growing mound of books blocked her path, she rested a hand on the bookcase to her left, using it for balance she peered about the corner to see a whole heap of books gathered in the aisle and numerous students gathered around, what had gone on here? She stood for a moment staring at the mass of books when there was a rumble of conversation run through the gathered group as they all offered to help clear the mess. Well she'd not created this havoc but she was of the understanding the quicker it cleared the sooner the noise level would drop and she could return to her own reading, so she'd offer her hand to the task.

Bea listened intently to what the librarian's instructions. When she heard that he needed strong students to help with the shelves, the choice of between the two groups seemed obvious to her. Bea wasn't physically strong...At all. If anything her daintiness would probably just get in the way. Bea walked over to Hayden and stood beside him.

"I'll help pick up the books," said Bea with a nervous smile on her face. The screeching became unnerving and the idea of book-bats getting tangled up in her hair was a frightening thought. There is one thing that can get tangled in her hair and doesn't bother Bea is her seaweed. Grabbing hold of a lock of it, she squinted her eyes into the darkness. "How are we to see better? Can we have a bit of light in here? Also, what do we do if the bats DO lash out?" her eyes began to widen as her brows furrowed harder on her face.

It wasn't hard for Astra to decide on which group she would go with; not only would she be a hindrance with her lack of strength in helping to lift the shelf, but there was a very good chance she could get smushed by the shelf. (Although, looking at it she guessed that most students would run that risk). Fetching the books that were scattered everywhere seemed like a much safer idea.

"I'll help out with the books as well" She said after the other ghoul had volunteered, also looking up as the screeching overhead caught her attention. Book bats, huh? Normally they posed no threat to her, but now she wasn't so sure. She hoped though, that should any come her way she would be quick enough to get out of the way.

LW inched closer to give Sparrow a quick smile and small nudge. Looked like they were going to be stuck helping out these two...whatever they were. The she-wolf was amused by both. One seemed crankier than the other. But the two, Avery and Hayden, bickering between themselves sort of made up for the grumpy side. "You ever seen these two before?" LW whispered the question to Sparrow. He'd spent more time in the library than she ever had.

A familiar fluffy head caught her attention and LW grinned and moved to give the pup a hug and ruffle his hair in a sisterly way. "Hey pup!"

Glancing up again, she frowned a little at the mention of splitting into two groups. Well, it was a smart idea and, as Avery pointed out, would get things done faster. However, if the book cases were that heavy, well, would three students plus Avery be enough? Maybe she should just help with putting the books away...? LW snorted at herself. Was she a werewolf or wasn't she? No heavy bookcase would scare her off! Though Avery could possibly do that. Or whatever these...book-bats were.

Just to be herself, LW grinned mischievously at Jove, bent down and pecked him on the cheek followed by a, "Don't get into too much trouble!," before slipping out of reach to move towards the volunteers to help Avery.

Shelves didn't sound to appealing to the gryphon. She was a monster and with being a monster meant she was pretty physically strong. But still. Tahki preferred books.

So, naturally, Tahki went ahead and signed her self up for books.
