ʂᴡᴑɼɳ ʈᴑ ᴘɾᴑʈɛᴄʈ уᴑʋWith FieryHeartedAngel and asbloodrunscold The Plot Melanie is a guardian angel, one that has not had much luck in what she does. Her job is simple; protect your charge at all costs, don't be seen in your true form, don't fall in love with them, and don't do something that can be questioned by other humans. She'd been good at keeping these rules even though two of the previous people she had looked out for died; one in a car crash, the other in a shoot out. Accidents of course happen, but Mel is tired of losing the ones that she's meant to protect.
A few years passed and she took up another assignment. It was a guy named ------ and she swore to herself that she'd do everything in her power to make sure that this one didn't die on her watch. After about a year of carefully watching over him, she started to realize something that she had to keep secret from her superiors; she was starting to love him. Melanie knew that if they found out about that, then she would be demoted so fast it wouldn't even be funny. A few more months passed and during this time, he was diagnosed with cancer. Melanie was distraught over this bit of news, especially when she realized that it was a type of cancer that he would die from in just a short period of time seeing as it was rapidly spreading. Melanie knows that she can cure him, though it'll cost her. Will she do it for him, or will she let yet another one die under her care?We start out a couple days before --------- goes into the hospital! The Rules 1) Please be active and don't let this rp die if you decide to join. 2) You must be at least semi-literate. I won't get on you for a few grammer/spelling mistakes -- I make them myself. You do need to talk in 3rd person and write out your actions though. Also, no one liners! I'd like to see a good chunky post. Pretty, pretty, please! With a cherry on top? =P 3) Pm me your profile titled 'Save Me' and please include a rp sample if I've never rp'd with you before. 4) Just because I need a guy character doesn't mean you need to be a guy to play him. You can be a girl playing the guy character, I don't care about that. 5) Last but not least, obey Gaia's ToS and have fun!
Here are some of my rp examples if you'd like to see them: Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3
The Profile Skeleton Name: Nickname: )If any) Age: Personality:
Biography:
Profiles Name: Melanie Jane Cross Nickname: Mel Age: Appears to be around 17, real age unknown. Personality: Melanie is thoughtful and caring of those that are around her, she is also protective of the ones that she is sent to watch over and tries her hardest to make sure they live fairly pleasant lives. Sometimes she can become a little misguided and break the rules, but it's always to help someone further. She doesn't get angry often, but when she does it's best to just leave her alone and let her cool off for a while. She can have a humorous side too when she's not so serious about things. Biography: Melanie never knew her parents, which isn't uncommon for angel children, very few of them do. It's not a fact that her parents didn't love her, it was simply because they had their angelic duties to fulfil at the time that took priority-- something Melanie understands well. For the first portion of her life, Melanie went through extensive training in protecting anf fighting; she was a good student and a prospective angel for the future. After her education was done with, Melanie got two assignments at the same time. They were twin sisters and the times were rare when they would split apart so watching them was an easy task. One day the girls got caught up in a shoot out following a robbery and though Melanie tried to save them both, she'd only been able to spare one of them. The sister that had lived turned to drinking to cope and had ended up dying in a car crash later that year despite Mel's attempts. Melanie, saddened over the fact that she had lost both of her charges, refused to take on anymore for a while. A few years passed and she decided to take on a young man as her charge and watch him closely. Soon she grew to love him which was something she had to keep to herself and not tell anyone for fear of being taken off his case. Now that he's been diagnosed with cancer and is slowly dying, Melanie doesn't know to what lengths she'll go to save him. The Human Name: Reginer Audo Nickname: Reggie Age: 19 Personality: Reginer is a pretty cool guy normally very laid back but still a hard worker. He's pretty smart but he usually explains it in a way that makes him seem lazy. He's happy and jumps at the chance to make others happy of course. He gets protective when he loves something whether it be person or object and will willingly get hurt to protect it. He's observant and hardly anything gets by him and he normally takes care of himself as he can tell when he's growing ill. When he's angry it seems very relaxed his face not changing but he can get violent and vengeful. He's a playful joker but he can take things way to far if not told to stop in time. Biography:Reginer's home life was simple and easy when he was a child. He was carefree and always playful of course though he was a trouble maker and sometimes attempted to skip school or play pranks on the teacher. He was often picked on beacuse he was lazy and acted as if he was better than everyone. He never cared about it though and was too concerned with playing after school. Once he hit 6th grade he started to straiten up and actually scared about school and made straight A's and B's though he merely explained his reasons for being so smart as just wanted to relax and be on his own. He still played pranks by sabotaging people's cars and what not. He had a ton of friends but he had a bit of a temper and got himself into many fights. He finally got to highschool and through for the most part. He was in band and is pretty good at playing the saxophone. Highschool wasn't the best time in his life but it was pretty fun and then the time for college came around. It took awhile for him to find one but he chose one...in America. Yeah forgot to mention he was from Germany but he spent the majority of his life there. He has a slight accent of course but its not so heavy you can't understand him. He gets mad and started speaking German. Recently though he's started to feel a little sick and has been experiencing shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite , difficulty swallowing, chronic coughing and so he has planned a trip to the hospital soon...whatever it is he hopes it can be helped as he's starting to feel worse though he hasn't let it disturb his daily activity trying to remain as active and seemingly healthy as possible.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie had been preoccupied lately with several things. The council of angels kept having meetings all the time, ones that revolved around angelic duties and politics. . . or as political as angels ever got. Their meetings didn't much interest Melanie, but nonetheless, she was required to attend them. The reason they didn't interest her was because for one, she didn't have a lot of say in what happened and second, it was more of just a lot of arguing in her opinion. She knew that everything would sort its way out eventually, but for now she'd have to endure their almost pointless discussions. To believe that it started all over a group of about five angels trying to make something as mundane as an adjustment in a certain rule was ridiculous. In Mel's opinion, it just went to show you that her kind was not so different from the humans whose lives they guarded.
Speaking of guarding, Mel's thoughts were brought back to her charge; Reginer. As she sat in the chair listening to the meeting drone on and on, angels voices rising and falling in tones depending on how heated they were in the little debate all she could do was think about him. Or maybe worry would be a more accurate of a word for what she was feeling for him at the moment. He'd recently become ill and while Mel thought that she'd recognized the problem before he even had, she didn't think it would become progressively worse. At first she simply thought it was some sort of cold or common illness, but the longer time seemed to span, the worse it seemed to become. Melanie had been comforting herself with the thought that it would all go away in time, after all, humans got sick all the time, but the more time passed, the more that Mel had the suspicion that it was something worse.
That suspicion was what was putting Melanie on edge lately with her mood. She was rarely content anymore and every moment that she didn't need to spend up here with the council, she was down on earth keeping herself around Reginer and watching him. She'd lately been dropping little helpful hints about going to the hospital to figure out what was wrong with him. Everything from random advertisements in the newspaper, pictures on walls of places, and even a few commercials on the television. Her job was to guide him on what would be the best thing to do and she was trying her hardest to fulfill that duty. She couldn't afford to have another charge of hers die while in her care . . . especially not him.
"Meeting adjourned," the Head angel said, clapping his hands once as he disappeared into thin air. Few people knew where he resigned when he wasn't leading these sorts of meetings. No one ever ran into him or glimpsed him either; he was a rather recluse angel. Melanie only knew of one person who knew where he stayed and they were sworn not to tell. Either way, it was not something that Melanie particularly cared about. If he wanted his privacy, he was more then entitled to it in her opinion. As soon as the group was told the meeting was over with, Melanie left as well her destination being none other than earth.
It was early morning and the city where Reginer lived at was just starting to awaken on what appeared was going to be a beautiful Saturday morning. As far as she knew, Reginer would still be asleep right now so she flew to where he lived at, invisible to all mortal eyes. When she got to his residence, she came in silently through the window and rested on the couch. She could sense him sleeping in the other room so she figured she would at least stay here until he woke, carefully keeping herself concealed from all human sight still.
No matter what is at stake, I'll do anything to see that you make it through safe.

Reginer Audo Reginer was actually fast asleep he normally stayed asleep for a long time when he didn't have to go to school. He spent so much time on his weekend homework before he went to sleep it was understandable. He often tossed and turned with a smile on his face as he was having pleasant dreams. He dreams about a pleasant fantasy life after college however that dream was shattered instantly when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest, He fell off the bed holding his chest the pain intense. He reached out for the corner of the nightstand and pulled himself up. He forced himself to make his way over to the bathroom where he started to cough wildly until he coughed out blood onto the sink. He whipped his mouth and turned on the sink washing the blood down the sink. He was awake anyway so e took a shower and went through the regular routine. He got dressed in his college cloths and suddenly felt hungry.
He went downstairs and put some bread in the toaster as he obviously didn't notice Mel on his couch. He tried to think about what he would do today and remembered there was a comic book he wanted to pick up later and a new sketchpad. He waited for his bread to toast before he grabbed it and went over to the couch sitting down next to Mel unknowingly and turned on the T.v. He remembered he had a doctors visit soon but he wasn't too worried despite what happened upstairs. He reached over and grabbed a book and opened it to the middle where he stopped. He actually kind of got the sense someone was there but he remember that he locked the door and windows and he didn't heart anything. He leaned back and whistled just reading. Most people in the neighborhood where he lived were actually outside playing around tor heading somewhere but he didn't feel like it.
Reginer acted normally though he was sick and much like Mel he didn't think it was getting series he just thought it was a one time type of problem which would fade and he was hoping his doctor visit would help him understand that. He had no clue he had cancer as he knew nothing about any type of cancer so could not tell. He was dying but he seemed fine and was completely oblivious to his dire situation for now.
He closed his book and turned off the T.V. standing and walked over to the door where he put on his shoes and grabbed went outside. He was immediately assaulted by a blinding light forgetting how bright it was by this time. He started to walk not bothering to lock the door as his neighborhood was moderately safe. He was making his way towards the library to pick up the book tough he seemed tired which was another effect of his cancer.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie went slightly ridgid when she heard a thump come from upstairs and she figured he fallen out of bed. She heard him coughing when he got to the bathroom and she listened intently to make sure that he was going to be alright. When the coughing had subsided and she heard the sound of the shower running, she relaxed once more seeing that he was going to be alright for now at least. "The other angels would think I was paranoid," she muttered quietly to herself with a shake of her head. "Maybe they'd be right," she added with a small sigh as she rested her head against the back of the couch and closed her eyes, a little sleepy. While angels could run on very little sleep, it was still nice to get a nice rest in every now and then. It was something that she hadn't had time for lately and so she'd been skipping it intentionally.
When she heard Reginer come down the stairs, she cracked one eye open to look at him for a second to see how he appeared. While she could tell he that he wasn't well by looking at him, she didn't think he appeared to be too bad off. Of course, she also knew that Reginer had a tendency to not let things like this bother him. It was something that often frustrated Mel when she wished that he would just do some things for the health of himself. She soon went back to closing her eyes, hearing him rummaging around int he kitchen for something but opened them once more when he came and sat on the couch. Melanie watched what he had turned it to on TV though what was on didn't really interest her, nothing that was on television was really of any particular interest to her. While she spent some time on earth, it was only for about a total of four years over the entire course of her life and she was out of the loop on many things that went on on earth. She knew only enough to get her by for the most part which meant the terms of things, not often how to work them or know what they did.
Melanie followed him out of the door, keeping her long white wings folded tightly to her body as she did. The sun felt good on her skin and she enjoyed the scent of the nice fresh air as she walked along behind him a couple paces. Her hair would blow gently in the slight breeze that would blow occasionally as she wondered just exactly where Reginer was headed to. While she could find the answer from within him if she wished, she liked to give her charges their privacy and had only ever once pulled an answer from any human. She just simply didn't like doing such a thing, she viewed it as wrong.
When a dog suddenly started growling and barking across from her, Melanie looked to the side and sighed in annoyance. While she could hide her appearence from all humans and most animals, there were a select few animals that could see her true form despite the fact. Even when she was in her human looking self, they would still see her for who she was. This particular dog was one of those and it never failed to bark at her, of course, to everyone else it just looked like it was barking at thin air. Jokes on you puppy, she thought to herself as she turned to the dog and spread her wings out suddenly. The dog backed a way, a little scared of her, but it still made a few last barks anyway. Melanie had just wanted it to be quiet for the most part, no need to annoy all the neighbors around here.
No matter what is at stake, I'll do anything to see that you make it through safe.

Reginer Audo Reginer made his way to the library which wasn't very far otherwise he certainly wouldn't be walking. Once inside he was instantly recognized by the librarian who led him into the back as they revived a shipment of f new books. Reginer often came here to see what they had ot offer but for this one he was expecting it. She gave him one of the books and he went out to one of the tables and sat down before he started to read. It was simply clam and relaxing in the library since no one ever really came here but him so he could read as music has he wanted. He yawned suddenly feeling tired again but he brushed it off best he could. After hours of reading he took a bookmark and set it before setting out again this time towards the park which was quite a walk but he wasn't thinking about it. After roughly 20 minutes of walking he reached it and sat down under the tree. The park was filled with sounds of children's laughter who seemed to enjoy playing around as well as talking adults and dogs. He closed his eyes for a moment just to rest them before he opened them and watched the kids. It might have seemed creepy but he liked to watch kids play to see the innocence and joy on their faces that would hopefully never fade. He did this a lot and would often come here to meet with the study group. This is actually where he made his final decision to go to the hospital for check up. He still looked sick but felt sort of fine as he closed hsi eyes and listened again as the wind blew through the trees he kind of wished it was raining as it was the most peaceful thing ever but nature did what it would.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie had drifted in and out of the library as he was reading, simply remembering to check up on him every now and then. While Mel enjoyed reading from time to time, she couldn't read for very long periods of time without it becoming boring to her and since her Reginer came to the library often, she often had to find something else to occupy her time with. When she noticed that he was heading to the park though, she gladly followed and found herself to be a little excited. She loved the park and everything about it. The main reason behind it was probably because she could be outdoors for the time and just enjoy the fresh air. Melanie hated the stale smelling air that was in a house or any sort of confinment, she much preferred to be outdoors on a nice day.
As they walked to the park, Melanie considered appearing to Reginer in her human form. Letting them see you as a human wasn't against the rules, it was only when you let them see your wings and let them know what you are that you've broken a rule. In fact, many of the angels she knew were friends with their charges almost. Melanie had just never thought of getting that involved before, but then again, she hadn't had much of a chance to either before something always happened to those she was supposed to protect.
Melanie watched Reginer for awhile, trying to decide what she wanted to do. After a few minutes careful thought, she decided that it wouldn't be such a bad thing. It might even make her job easier. . or harder. She wasn't sure. It might make it easier in that if she became friends with him, it would be much easier to give him advice and pointers that just maybe he'd listen to or take into consideration. It might be harder for her because, in speaking to him, the feelings that she held for him might be a little bit harder to surpress. Either way, she didn't think she had too much to lose. If it turned out to be too much, she could always just decide to never appear to him again.
After walking away and out of sight from anyone's view, Melanie changed her form and became more human like even though she still possessed her angelic abilites in this form as well. It only took seconds for her to change before she reappeared and started walking back in the direction of where Reginer was at. She wasn't quite sure what to say or how to introduce herself so that it wouldn't seem awkward or that she was some weird type of person, but she figured she'd try for it anyway. Melanie went and sat down a few feet from him and gave him a friendly little sort of smile in his direction. "Is this park always so lively?" she asked him curiously. "I'm new to town so I wouldn't know," she said apologetically, still keeping a tiny smile on her face.

Reginer Audo Reginer opened one eye when the girl showed up. He chuckled and closed his eye " Well not exactly but most of the time its a great place to hang out." he said. He yawned and laid down under the shade and opened his eye to look up at the tree smiling at the light that shined through as the wind made the move causing the leaves to rustle. He looked over at her " I haven't been here for that long since I moved here from Germany but I've been here long enough.' he said " Its nice to meet you I'm sure you'll like it here the people are friendly and the kids aren't that noisy when your trying to sleep." he said and sat up looking at her " So what's your name kid?" he asked " Everyone here will probably come to know it probably." he yawned " Where exactly did you move into...I don't remember seeing any moving trucks nearby." he looked into the girls eyes they were beautiful. This girl looked pretty young and very pretty but she didn't seem older than 17 so he wondered what school she went to. He actually would often visit the high school with a friend he made to see what it was like here since he had a few weeks to get settled in before he actually started college.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie nodded at what he said and laughed softly when he said he moved from Germany. "And I thought I'd moved a long way," she said with a shake of her head. "Just a move from across the country is nothing compared to a move from Germany," she added a little later. Yeah, I hope so. It seems like a failry nice town," she said, looking around the park once more before she heard him ask her for her name. "I'm Melanie, though you can call me Mel if you prefer. Doesn't matter," she said with a small shrug of her shoulders. "And yours?" she asked curiously. It was weird to her to act like he was someone completely new to her. She already knew so many things about him already that she imagined that it was going to be difficult to not slip up and mention something that she wasn't supposed to know.
When he asked where she'd moved from, Mel had to do some quick thinking on her part. "I live on Wysteria Dr. down there in the apartment complex. Mom liked that part of town," she lied smoothly, motioning in the general direction of the place and purposely choosing a spot in town that was as far from where Reginer lived as possible so that him not seeing any moving trucks might not seem so odd. She figured that if she was going to continue to play human, that she was going to have to make so connections here and actually get a place to stay even if she wouldn't be there all that often. Melanie didn't think it would be such a hard task to do. "You look tired," she said, noticing him yawning every now and then. "I hope I didn't wake you," she said remembering that he had had his eyes closed when she'd approached him earlier.
Melanie stretched her legs out in front of her, crossing them at the ankle as she sighed contentedly. "So, what is something fun that's here in town?" she asked him curiously, wondering if he knew of anything.

Reginer Audo Reginer nodded when he heard her name " My name is Reginer Audo." he said making his German accent even heavier. He listened to where she lived and nodded " That makes sense that place is very far so I'd never go through the trouble of walking all the way there since my car is getting repaired." he said. He yawned again usually he would to signal the fact he was bored but lately he's felt tired for no reason even when he slept till 2:00 in the afternoon.
He looked at her when she asked about something fun and he thought about it " It might seem childish but theirs a great arcade no far from the library it has some really old but great games." he sat up " What are you bored already?" he asked " I don't really go there much but I'm willing to go there with you if you want." he said " I don't really have a problem with it." he wasn't kidding he'd be willing to help her with whatever he had to even though he never met her before but he was bored and he was a nice enough to guy not to let the girl try and find the place on her own. He had no clue if she even had any friend but she did just move so it would take time and since it was Saturday his friends would still be asleep or doing something else though he could contact them later.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie smiled when she heard his name and said, "Well, nice to meet you Reginer." She nodded when he'd said it made sense because his car was being repaired, but she didn't comment on the fact any. If she got into stuff with cars, Melanie was fairly certain that she wouldn't be able to keep up. She didn't even know how to operate a vehicle, something that she was certain most people who appeared to be seventeen knew how to do. After all, all she heard from teenagers is when they were going to be able to get their licenses and what kind of car they wanted.
Melanie glanced over at him when he mentioned there being an arcade not too far away. "Yeah, I'm a little bored. Mom just wanted me out of the apartment so that she could finish unpacking and putting everything just so," Mel said with a roll of her eyes, playing the that's-how-my-mom-is card near perfectly. "Everything's got to be perfect in her opinion," she said with a smile. "And, yeah, it'd be nice to go there. . only as long as it's not too much trouble," she said, not wanting to become a bother to someone that she 'techinically' just met.
Standing up from where she'd been sitting, she brushed the bits of grass and such off of her clothes and stretched a second. Melanie didn't really like her human form, she always had this pressure in her back reminding her that her wings were all cooped up and confined and that they wanted to break free. Some part of her mind always had to concentrate on keeping them hidden and concealed. It was a real pain at times.

Reginer Audo Reginer nodded and stood up dusting the grass off him as he walked past her " Come along children." he said to her with a smile as went to go to the arcade. He made sure she was following clsoe behind on the way however he stopped and leaned again a telephone pole hardly able to actually stand for a moment before he recovered and continued on. Once at the arcade he let her in first and looked around " I love this place...great way to kill time and still have fun...do whatever you will its on me kid." he said and sat down at the table waiting for her to make a choice. He was still kind of a child who enjoyed these kinds of things though most people his age would rather do something...or try and find a girlfriend which he was way to lazy to do as well since there was way to much effort that went into it.

Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie followed them as they walked, when they had to stop, she showed as much concern as someone who hardly knew him would, but didn't do much more then that. After all, she was knew to him and it would be out of her place to suggest anything for now. She thought it funny and kind of ironic how he kept calling her a kid. If you only knew how old I really was, she thought to herself, amused by this. Though she herself didn't even know her exact age, she knew that she was quite a bit older then anyone that was alive on earth.
Melanie looked around the arcade, unsure of what to choose. This was one of things where she was out of her element on too. While she knew what an arcade was and what the purpose was in going to one, Mel hardly knew how to play a single game in this place. "Pac-man seems interesting," she said after a moment, randomly choosing one from the dozens of other games here. I don't play arcade games all that often though, how do you play it?" she asked him, hoping that she could watch him play one round till she got the main points behind it and knew what the object of the game was.

Reginer Audo Reginer stood yup and walked over " Well you use the joystick to move Pac-man through the maze and eat as many yellow dots and fruits as you can without getting hit by the ghost." he said and put in a quarter and started ot play but only for one round. He got through it easily and once he was done he stepped aside and smiled " Just do that I'm sure you can do it...it can be hard when you get cornered but you'll get the hang of it." he said and stood by the machine to watch her putting in another quarter for her. Melanie | Jane | Cross No matter what it takes, I'll find a way to save you Melanie watched him as he played, glad that he hadn't thought the question odd seeing as she figured most people knew how to play these games. Once she started to play and get the hang of it a bit, she stated to have some fun which surprised her. After years of simply watching humans play around, she was finally able to experience it for herself. "I see you humans point now at least," she murmured to herself quietly, the sound of her voice lost amoung the noisy machines. Melanie got a couple rounds in before she lost, but she just shrugged and smiled. "Pretty good for never having played it before I think," she said to him as she glanced over at the door when she saw a couple of people come into the building.
Soon she turned her attention back to Reginer and thought of some sort of conversation topic. "So, what made you decide to move all the way here from Germany?" she asked him, tilting her head to the side in curiosity. "It's a long move from family and such," she added a little bit later, her blue eyes coming to rest on his face as she waited for an answer.
No matter what is at stake, I'll do anything to see that you make it through safe.

Reginer Audo Reginer thought about it but he already knew the answer as he looked at the answer " College of course." he said " I found a great college here and got accepted so they let me come here." he yawned " To be honest I could have moved to Japan for college but I just decided on this place beacuse it seemed great and the place I decided to stay in was recommended to me." he shrugged. He smiled " You'll be there soon and you'll probably choose to study abroad or something its up to you..oh and the work here is easier so now when I finish I can just lay back and go to sleep and not do any more work." he said with a devious smile on his face. He laughed and went over and sat " So why did you move all the way here....away form your friends?" he asked her leading on the table staring. He leaned back " I'm not really concerned with the people back home in Germany I didn't have many friends besides it was boring there this place is fun." he said.
