And there was some arbitrary law where you could only have ONE, what would it be?
The only rules are, you can only have ONE Pokemon from ANY generation, BUT NO LEGENDARIES.
Myself?
I'd go with an Arcanine, and I would nicknamed him Repede. It's only two inches shorter than I am and I would be outside a lot more, riding on its back.

Dragonite and I'd nickname it Elephantiasis (Elephant for short).
Seriously though. Dratini < Dragonair < Dragonite were, and still are my favorite Pokemon ever.

Good choice, IMO. ...Actually now I'm not sure if I'd want an Arcanine or a Gyarados. I've always had fun raising one from a Magikarp and it felt so rewarding afterwards.

Hypno or Mr. Mime. I love psychic, dark, and ghost types. The ghosts would probably end up scaring me so I wouldn't go with one of those, my choice really just depends on which I caught first. IF the ghost had no potential to scare me, I would go with Cubone (I imagine ghost mama would be around somewhere) or Misdreavus.
I have quite a few favorites though, so I could change my mind quite easily. sweatdrop

If I had to chose I would want a Meganium named Ryu or Mismagius named Ms. Murder, I love so many Pokemon though, Im probably going to keep changing my mind.

Holy s**t, are new people actually posting?
Most of you probably thought I'd say Snorlax, but in reality, I wouldn't want to feed one of those things. I'd probably go with Heracross or one of the Kanto starters.
