~.:Background Information:.~
Height: 6'4 Weight: Hair: As depicted Eyes: Hazel Clothing: As depicted, when working he will remove his jacket. He will also change his clothes to similar ones after working. Physical Appearance: Skinny but toned Occupation: Blacksmith, Weapon Smith History: Vermillion Orvis is the the Heir to the legacy of one of the greatest forges ever to be built; his father, Virgil Orvis, was celebrated as a smith who could rival the dwarfs and at one time his forge was nothing but a small unimportant one which could not even compete with the others around the city. However, Virgil soon proved his worth in a royal contest in which all the blacksmiths from all over Euphoria competed; the winner was to receive the royal seal and a place within the Euphorian court. It was not just any seat but a life long seat that his family could one day inherit and a determined Virgil entered crafting what was in his own words: "The greatest sword he'd ever made." The king inspected this sword and declared it the winner and with that the Orvis household was elevated in both status and prowess. Virgil had only dreamed that this day would come the day where he and his family were rechristened by the people as 'The Noble Blacksmiths'.
Without knowing it Virgil had led a revolution; people aspired to be like him and they admired him for his hard work and effort quickly earning him a good rapport with the peasantry within Euphoria. Some lords were jealous of this, some hated the very thought of him but he was content that his pregnant wife now lived in prosperity and the world finally recognized his talents as a blacksmith. Still, his achievement at the tournament was only the second greatest in his life as his wife gave birth to a healthy strong baby boy and his empire now had an heir.
From that day on Virgil had great plans for Vermillion; he was quickly adopted as a helper in the forge from an early age and his father taught him a lot from his craft to morales to how to read and write and it was very obvious that the two cared very much for each other. They were inseperable and Vermillion continued hard with his training, the court meeting and his studies to become the success his Father had always wanted and on his 18th birthday his father gave a rather heart warming speech about how he loved his son and how he was very proud of him. Vermillion was then named heir to the forge and Virgil's seat in court.
It was this action that prompted curiosity and rumors among the nobles and even the peasantry. They could all tell something was wrong but Vermillion continuing on as normal did not seem to notice the deteriorating health of his Father or his Mother's worry. He just thought his Father was getting old, that it was his time to start taking responsibility more not just within the forge but within the Orvis house in general. Virgil Orvis' death rocked the very foundations of Euphoria but none more then his son. Euphoria's champion was dead but more importantly to Vermillion (now taking to being called Vern) his Father and mentor was gone. It was on the day of his funeral that Vermillion swore an oath to uphold his family's honor and continue working at the forge as his Father had done before him.
Personality: Vermillion Orvis is constantly compared to his Father. Hard-working and dedicated to anything he puts his mind to but still easy going and care-free at the same time. His kindness and compassion have led him to be heralded as Virgil's Second Coming by the peasants of Euphoria and his keen business head has seen his forge prosper. However, Vermillion does hide many insecurities instead deciding to smile and hide away his fears. He can also often be upset or angered upon the mention of his Father which has led to friction between the Orvis household and many of the other noble families. Yet, mostly Orvis is a kind and friendly person earning him a lot of friends.
