Ʈȯ Ϣᴀʃƙ Ǻʃσᴎᴈ? Type: Drama/Romance/1x1; Best friend X Pregnant GirlWith FieryHeartedAngel & KassandraHawkin Plot: Four months ago, a young woman was walking home from work. The building in which she worked was only a few blocks away from the apartment that she lived in and the career that she had was as a Journalist for a magazine. She'd been working late that day, trying to finish an article she was working on so it could go into the next issue of the magazine which was to be printed tomorrow. By the time that she had finished it, she was a little tired and the clock on the wall read 11:30 p.m. She was the last one in the building to leave that night except for a few of the janitors that cleaned the building of course. The young woman grabbed her bag and shrugged into her jacket, pulling it close to herself as she started walking down the streets, it being a fairly cold night as small flakes of snow began to fall from the dark sky. She heard heavy footsteps coming from behind her, but they weren't walking, the person behind her was running. She turned around to see who was behind her right as a pretty muscular man roughly clamped a hand over her mouth and dragged her into the nearest alley. She tried to scream and shout for help, struggled to get away, anything, but the man was much more stronger then she was. The man pinned her to the ground once they were in the alley and raped her. After he'd finished, he had knocked her out and left her there in the alley. When she woke up, it was several hours later and a fine layer of snow covered her completely. She slowly got up, shivering and crying as she ran to the police station a few blocks down and pounded on the door till someone inside answered at that late hour. She told the policemen her story and gave them as best a desciption of the man as she could but begged the men to keep this out of the papers and off the news. They agreed and kept it as confidentail. A month and a half later, the woman was having a hard time getting over the whole expierence and the only person she had told that she'd gotten raped was her father. Although, a new problem had arisen; she feared that she might be pregnant. The young woman got a pregnancy test and broke down in tears and a little bit of fear when she found that it was positive. Again, the only person that she told about this was her father, no one else. Not even her best friend, she just couldn't bring herself to do it. Three more months have past and she's traded out her often form fitting shirts for ones that are a little more loose fitting to hide the small bump on her stomach that was starting to grow. She know she can't hide it forever, but she wish that she could.
Now were to this young womans best friend. He'd been friends with her since they were in Middle School together and had always gone out and done fun things and it didn't even stop when they'd graduated High School. He'd always harboured secret feelings for her, but had never thought to voice them to her, afraid that it would ruin their friendship that they had with each other. Still, he can't fight his feelings that he has for her no matter how hard he seems to try. Over the last four months, he's noticed that she doesn't seem to have that old spark of life to her anymore. She doesn't seem to joke around and tease him like she used to, it takes more for her to laugh, and her eyes always seem to hold a tinge of sadness to them. Whenever he asks her what is wrong, she always says she's fine even though he knows she's clearly not. He's noticed that her father comes and visits her almost every other day even when he lives a good two hours away, and the young man has noticed that she always makes excuses for when he invites her to do something with him like watch a movie or something late at night. He knows something is wrong he just doesn't know what it is, but he's taken to spending more time with her lately to try and help.

Username: FieryHeartedAngel Name: Melanie Jane Cross Nickname: Mel Age: 21 Height: 5'6" Occupation: Journalist Personality: Melanie has a very playful/joking/sarcastic type of attitude towards most people, but she always does in a harmless manner. Her temper isn't a very easy thing to trigger, but when it is triggered, it can be a pretty powerful little thing. For the most part, Mel is a fairly nice person and very easy going. Although, she hasn't quite been her normal happy self lately, something is always worrying her. Biography: Melanie grew up in a town about two hours away from where she currently lives in a small house at the edge of town. Her mother had died of cancer when Mel was only six years old and Melanie remembers very little of her mother. Her father turned to alcohol to help him cope with the pain of losing his wife and several times he came close to death from doing something stupid while he was drunk. Slowly realizing that he needed to stop drinking to take care of the daughter he had before he lost her too. He became sober about the time that was Mel was ten years old and has remained sober since, only drinking on special occasions. Melanie has grown up with her father who alowed her to pursue her dream of becoming a journalist every step of the way, and absolutely adores his daughter. While Melanie only had a few friends through her lifetime, there was only ever one that she would truly consider to be a best friend and that would be ____. She used to confide everything to him and what she was going to and in turn, Mel would listen to what he had to say. Four months ago, that all changed. When she was raped, she didn't tell her friend, only her father. When she found out that she had been gotten pregnant, she again couldn't bring herself to tell her best friend, only her father. It wasn't that she no longer wanted ____ to know everything anymore, it was that simply she was scared to voice it aloud to him, or anyone for that matter.
Now with Mel's stomach starting to just now show that she's pregnant, she doesn't exactly know how to tell everyone she has to face everyday what happened. Her father seeing that her daughter is struggling with her situation has been beginning to visit her more and more often for longer periods of time trying to help her through this tough time of hers. Melanie knows that her best friend is getting worried about her, but it doesn't make Mel want to let him in on her little secret even though her father says it might help her to tell someone else and have them know. In order for Melanie to put off telling everyone a little longer, she's taken to wearing shirts that fit loosely on her. Even so, Melanie knows that this problem isn't simply going to go away, nor can she hide it forever. Her thoughts of everything that has happened and what will come after she has the baby terrify her, but she tries to hide it as best she can. Likes/Dislikes/Secrets: Melanie loves to read, and of course with being a Journalist and all, she also likes to write. On top of all that, one of her special little talents that very few people know about would be playing the piano. Mel hates the person that raped her and she hates the fact that the cops haven't found the person responsible yet. Melanie never used to be a very secretive person, but lately she's been keeping one of the biggest things that have happened to her a secret from her best friend; getting raped and being pregnant. Mel also keeps a locket around her neck that contains a picture of her mother. Image:

While it was a Saturday and she didn't have to work today, her body always seemed to be on her normal work schedule even on the weekends. The only exception to that being when she'd stay up way late the night before or she wasn't feeling well. She stretched her arms over her head, a small yawn escaping her lips as she felt a few joints pop from being stiff with the disuse of sleep for so long. Sliding her legs out from underneath of the covers, she hung them over the left side of her bed and sat there for a moment, before letting her feet come to rest on the soft, fuzzy carpet that covered her apartment bedrooms floor. Walking across the length of her bedroom and through the living area, she made it to the kitchen where she opened up the cabinet above the sink and got a glass down, filling it with water from the tap. She briefly pondered the thought of having some sort of breakfast, but lately that idea revolted her greatly. She knew that whatever she'd end up eating would end up either in the toilet or the nearest trashcan she could get to due to the morning sickness she'd been experiencing for the last couple of weeks. At least when she didn't eat breakfast, the only thing she'd vomit up was either bile or nothing at all; the latter being what Mel preferred, of course.
However, what she preferred most of all was something that was not within her reach. It was something that was not within anybody's reach as for as she knew. What she wanted was to go back in time and erase what happened that one night. If only she had done something different, then her problems right now would not be in existence and wouldn't be something that she'd have to worry over. If only she'd decided not to work so late that night, if only she'd been more aware of her surroundings that night, if only she'd been better able to defend herself, if only she'd been able to run faster. If only, if only, Melanie thought a little bitterly to herself. When are the 'if only’s' going to stop? They don't do any good except make you more frustrated, she thought with a slight sigh. Melanie placed her now empty glass on the counter and walked over to the couch and sat down, turning on the TV and flipping through different channels as she tried to determine what to watch. She stayed in her night clothes for now, a pair of shorts that hit mid-thigh and a tank top that was becoming increasingly tighter around her mid-section, but that was something that Mel was trying not to think about. Trying not to think about the little life she was holding within her stomach that was growing slowly day by day, that she could now see taking a physical change on her body and appearance. While she didn’t exactly hate the fact the baby that was growing inside of her, it wasn’t something that she had chosen for herself at this time either. It was a situation that had been forced upon her by a man that she didn’t even know; a man that, somewhere, was still out there running free. That thought caused a shiver to run through her spine, but she assured herself by the fact that her apartment door was locked securely and that being on the third floor was much too high for someone to scale the walls without being caught. Melanie quickly shook her head, shaking the thoughts away of everything troubling and focused on watching something on the TV, making sure that the program on the television screen was the only thing that was in her thoughts right now.
[[Bleh, sorry it's kinda shorter then I like from myself, I just really wanted to get one in tonight.]]
