Name: Lila Roy Age: 18 Personality: Spunky, but still kind. Cares about anyone or anything, but if someone gives her a reason not to trust them, then she'll be resigned with them. If she doesn't like someone, they'll more than likely know it. She won't necessarily act out against them, but few words would be said be her, her replies as short as possible. Biogrpahy: Lila grew up getting everything she wanted, as was expected by a royal family. What wasn't expected was that after Lila was born, there would be no more children. One of the most "important" jobs as king and queen was to produce a male heir to the throne. But despite all of their efforts, there were no more children. Because of this, Lila knew she would have the throne when her parents were gone. Once she realized this, she matured quickly. Nothing all that out of the ordinary happened during her life, she just blended into the family to the best of her ability, without embarrassing herself too much with her clumsiness. Image:

Name: Gavin Dylan Knight Age: 20 Personality: Underneath the parliment's watchful eye, he's the civil and most well respected young prince. However, when he has some free time to himself, he likes to be a bit of a dare devil and live for the rush of defying the perfect and prim rules that his family has set for him to follow. Around his friends he's the joking one of the group and never fails to make somone laugh, though he does tend to have a terribly blunt and honest side at times which has its ups and downs depending on the situation. He's got a certain charm about him that just naturally attracts people's respect of him despite his frequent unauthorized trips, and at times he can be a terrible flirt. Biogrpahy: Growing up as royalty was, if he had his choice, something that Gavin would've changed. Too many rules and laws for him to keep up with in his opinion, but it's something that he must keep up with regardless of the fact. While he's the heir to the throne once he marries a nice, proper young lady, he has always been his parents most troubling project to keep up with. Everywhere from making sure he's at places in a respectable amount of time, to searching for where he's wandered off to next, telling him to go change when he had smudges on his clothes, or simply making him watch his speech; his parents were never bored. His little sister who is five years younger then him was everything that his parents wished he was. Proper and law-abiding, never says anything that's not polite and keeps her thoughts to herself. In Gavin's words, she's boring to someone who lives for adventure and the thrills of life.
Lately, his parents have set up a marriage for him, one that Gavin's not particulary happy about. If he were to get married, then he's certain that he'll have to change his life style to accustom a wife. Which is the very reason in all this anyway; to make him calm down and act as a prince should. Obvious to say, he's displeased at his current situation. While he's heard of this princess that he is supposed to marry, he hasn't met her or even seen a picture of her yet and doesn't know how he'll act once he does meet her. Image:

xxxxxxxxxxxxɪ ʂᴀẏ ʜᴀᴠɪᴎʛ ᵮᴜᴎ ɪʂ ᴛᴑᴘ ᴘʀɪᴑʀᴛẏ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Gavin sighed, slightly annoyed at his parents decision for an arranged marriage as he adjusted the cuffs on his shirt just like mother would like them when meeting someone who she deemed inportant. In Gavin's opinion, both of his parents made up more then enough excitement between the two of them to make up for his lack there of and he didn't intend on putting on an enthusiastic face for anything. Sure, he may be the heir to the throne someday, but that didn't mean he had to get married this minute. His father still had quite a few more good ruling years left in him and before he kicked off. Call it cruel thinking if you want, but he was awfully blunt when it came to matters such as those. . and besides, it was the truth. Honesty is the best policy, no?
Leaving his living quarters, he walked down one of the many halls of the castle that was as familiar to him as the back of his hand. He had known every single hall, ever single hidden passage within these walls since he was ten years old. This castle was no longer new or mysterious to him though there were places that he liked within it's grand walls. He'd been told to go to the meeting room at ten o'clock sharp in the mmorning. Pulling out his watch from his pocket, he flipped it open and saw that he was actually going to be early. Gavin Knight early? A fact almost unheard of and he seriously contemplated going do something else to make himself late and to tick his parents off. After a moment though he decided against it. Despite his fact in not wanting to settle down with a wife yet, he couldn't deny the curiousity he had about meeting this mystery princess.
As he entered the meeting room, the place in the house where they often welcomed all their guests, he took a seat in his normal chair. His parents gaze came to rest on him and a look of relief washed across their faces when they realized that they would not have to hunt for their son to bring him here. "Sit up straight, Gavin," his mother told him, an air of authority to her. "Of course, mother," he said sweetly, though he remained in his slumped posture. What was the point in straightening up now when the girl wasn't yet here? None. He'd wait until she arrived which should be any minute now he thought.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.Lila's mother fretted about her, straightening her dress, pinning a few stray curls back behind her ear. Lila simply gave her a smile. She hoped it would reassure her, she knew her mother was just as nervous as she was. With Lila's luck, the moment she'd see them, she'd trip over her own feet and go sprawling on the floor. She pushed the thought from her mind. No need to scare herself into doing something her face would forever be flushed from.
The carriage slowed to a stop, and after what felt like a century, the door was opened. Lila's mouth went dry. Her mother and father exited, and Lila followed on shaking legs. She felt like a newly born deer, a doe who was walking on ice. Her father took her mother's arm, then held his other out to Lila with twinkling eyes and a strong, yet small, smile. She let out an audible sigh of relief, and the king let out a small chuckle. Lila wondered if this prince, the heir to his country's throne, would have that confident demeanor that made everyone trust him. Lila found it an important quality, trustworthy, but still intimidating. Her father's arm was strong, warm and familiar, she held it tightly.
They were greeted by an old, stern looking man at the doors, and escorted in. They were led down a hallway, Lila's heart pounding so hard she could barely hear the man knock on a door. The knock echoed through the halls. After a pause, Lila assumed it was so they could stand and straighten themselves, he opened the door and announced their arrival. Lila took a deep breath, tried to steady herself against her father, and let him lead her and her mother through the intimidatingly big door. She supposed the doors were that big in her palace, as well, but she was so used to those. There were so... foreign.
"King Jethro Roy, Queen Natalie Roy, and Princess Lila Roy," he chimed officially as they entered the room.

xxxxxxxxxxxxɪ ʂᴀẏ ʜᴀᴠɪᴎʛ ᵮᴜᴎ ɪʂ ᴛᴑᴘ ᴘʀɪᴑʀᴛẏ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Gavin stood to his full height of 6'3" as the Princess Lila came through the big double doors, his eyes roaming of her for a second before studying her parents. "Somebody's nervous," Gavin couldn't help but mutter under his breath, just loud enough for himself to hear as an amused smile crossed his face. Gavin's own father came forward and held his hand out to King Roy to shake in greeting as he introduced his own family. "I'm John Knight, this is Queen Maria Knight and my son, Prince Gavin Knight. We welcome you to our castle here. Is there anything that you might like to drink?" he asked them, motioning to the maid in the corner who would get anything that they requested.
"I think Princess Lila would like some tea. Might calm the nerves at least," Gavin spoke up, casting Lila a kind smile though his eyes sparkled with amusement. While his words may seem caring to someone who didn't know him, he was really just speaking his mind. The girl really did look like she was about to fall over if she hadn't had that death grip on her fathers arm. His mother cast him a pained look as if begging him to be nicer or keep silent to which he just shrugged at. "Care for a seat?" he asked the Roy's, looking at each one of them in turn though his blue eyes lingered on Lila a little longer then the rest. After all, she was the reason he was even here in the first place when he could be doing something else this morning.
Gavin contemplated the idea of returning to his own seat, but a thought crossed his mind. Walking over to the young Princess, he held out his arm for her. "Please, let me escort you to your seat," he said to her, a charming smile on his lips that could make any girl blush. He was known to charm the women, though he wouldn't really call himself a player. He simply knew how to make one swoon if he wished, though he never used them and never engaged in the realtionship any farther then a some simple flirting here and there.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.Lila's lips pursed slightly when he mentioned maybe she should have some tea. She couldn't tell if he was being genuinely nice or if it was his way of teasing her. Seeing Queen Maria confirmed the latter of the theories. She didn't like him. He seemed like the guy who would joke on anyone and everyone's expense but his own.
But then he offered his arm to her. A delicate blushed creeped from her neck to her cheeks and she softly bit her bottom lip. She could feel her parents' eyes on her. She gave him her beautiful smile, revealing her pearlie whites. "Thank you, Prince Gavin," she said warmly. When she smiled, her green eyes glittered, it was innocent enough to be seen as kind, but not so much that her playful side was buried. It was the smile that made the guards melt and made her daddy get her that new dress from Paris.
Her parents took a seat after he sat. Queen Natalie asked for a simple glass of water, while King Jethro asked for a watered brandy. Lila stayed contently quiet.
"So," said Jethro in his deep voice, "We all know why we're here. That much is obvious. What I need to talk to you about, King John, is about the uniting of our kingdoms." Lila smiled. That was her dad, always business all the time.

xxxxxxxxxxxxɪ ʂᴀẏ ʜᴀᴠɪᴎʛ ᵮᴜᴎ ɪʂ ᴛᴑᴘ ᴘʀɪᴑʀᴛẏ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Gavin noted her pursing of her lips and while the Princess' parents may have not gotten the emotion behind his words, it was clear that she had. The fact that she had gotten him both intriuged him and warned him st stay away, though he was certain why either of those two emotions warred within him.
A small smirk spread across her lips when he saw the bluch creep slowly to her cheeks. He always loved a blushing girl though he was uncertain as to why. He just thought it made them look cuter in a way, especially if they got flustered at themselves for blushing in the first place. . . which always made them just go even more red in the face. Gavin just thought it was cute. The smile that she gave him was a dazzling one to say the least, and it was a smile that he found he liked. I might not want a wife, but as a fun companion? I might just choose her, he thought to himself as he led her to her seat. "My pleasure, Princess," he murmured to her as she let her sit down.
From the corner of his eye, he could see the approving nod of his father at his son's good behavior but he ignored it for the most part. If he wanted to be nice, he would be. If he wouldn't to be unmannerly, he would be. He quite honestly didn't care what many thought of him; he was his own person. The door opened and closed as the maid exited to go get the drinks that were discussed as Gavin walked to take his own seat. His mother scowled at him when he slumped, but Gavin just sent her a smile of his, knowing that he'd get talked to with later.
John looked over at King Jethro at his statement, and nodded in agreement. "I've been thinking over that myself," he said slowly. "It will be a challenge I imagine, but our two kingdoms are on good terms for the most part. I don't think the public would be opposed to this marriage, but it shall be tricky to get the ruling straight and knowing where my son and your daughter will reside and live, whether in my kingdom or yours. Did you have any concerns?" he asked the King curiously, open to hearing his side as well of course.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.King Jethro gave a nod. "Their living arrangements are my biggest concerns, at this point. Our people are peaceful, and mine would love for a reason to celebrate." Kong Jethro continued, "What we need to think about it is whose kingdom needs a ruler there. It's a comfort thing, really."
Lila crossed her legs, tucking that annoying piece of hair behind her ear again. She wanted to look her best. She wanted to impress her inlays to be. She wasn't too concerned about impressing Prince Gavin. He was pretty much stuck with her no matter what. Her in laws, though, could make her life quite awful if they didn't think her good enough for their little prince. She kept a pleasant face on, sat up straight and was attentive. This was hard, because she was tired from her trip and it was hard to listen about herself in a way that made her feel like more of an object. Hard to ignore.
Her father must have realized this and, with his smile, said "Perhaps Lila and Prince Gavin would like to get to talk for some time, while we talk politic/...? A walk in the garden might do her good, being still in the carriage is awfully tiring sometimes."
"I'd love to move around a bit," Lila said honestly with a smile to her father.

"I don't think that it would harm my people any if my son went to reside in your kingdom. Monthly visits back here of course, or when they need to take care of business," the King said with another nod, feeling confident that it all would work out for the better.
Gavin glanced over in Lila's direction when he saw her move from the corner of his eye. Fixing her hair, making sure her dress was sitting nicely, sitting up straight. He almost, almost, chuckled at her striving to make a good appearence to his parents. He knew only too well that it was not for him. The idea for a walk as King Jethro suggested did appeal to him greatly, mainly because it took him out of this boring conversation.
"I couldn't agree more," he said after Lila made it known that it she'd love to do so as well. Getting up from his seat, he walked over to the Princess Lila and once again offered her his arm. "Then let's go shall we?" he asked her, giving her that same smile as before as he waited for her response.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.Lila took the Prince's arm once again, after rising. She walked out of the room with him, then dropped the proper facade. Her smile left her face, though it didn't turn hard. It was still pleasant, but not so proper. It felt good to be on her feet again. She could feel her muscles tightening. It was a welcome feeling.
"So," she said slowly, "where are we going?" She hoped they'd go outside somewhere. She loved the smell of the outdoors, the feel of the breeze, and the altogether peacefulness of it. Her palace had a five hundred square foot garden with all sorts of flowers. Roses, tulips, tiger lilies, daisies and all sorts of lilacs. Those were Lila's favorite. She loved walking outside and just smell them. Or open the doors to her balcony, and let the sweet smell filter in. (OOC: Don't worry, me too.)

xxxxxxxxxxxxɪ ʂᴀẏ ʜᴀᴠɪᴎʛ ᵮᴜᴎ ɪʂ ᴛᴑᴘ ᴘʀɪᴑʀᴛẏ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆The garden was not Gavins most favorite place in the whole world simply because not a lot went on it and how many times did you see a guy taking a stroll through the garden by himself? Only when he had something pressing on his mind or when he had a girl hooked on his arm. The latter reason was why he was here after all and he didn't object to it too much, though if he was going to have to spend a lot of time with her, he would not spend it all in the garden. He'd take her other places, more exciting places, places that may your adrenaline rush and just getting that feeling of great fun.
"The garden," he answered her as he led her outside onto the patio breifly before going down the maze of the garden. There castle had a nice one, large and one could easily lose there way in for a short time if they wished. "When I was younger I used to hide from my mother all the time in here. It would scare her to death not knowing where I was at, but I always found it to be quite fun. When my younger sister was about six years old, I would try to do the same with her, but she was much to obedient to mother to do anything of the sort," he said to her with a small chuckle before he looked down at Lila beside him. "Please do not tell me you will be a bore like my younger sister, Princess Lila," she said to her with a small smile. "I just might die of agony," he said said dramatically. In truth, he did love his sister very much, but she was just too proper to be of much fun. "She shall be coming back to the castle this evening I should think, maybe you'll be able to see her then," he said to her as he turned his gaze from her and started looking around the garden again, leading her down a path that he knew well.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.Lila let out a small laugh. "I wish I could say I look forward to meeting her," she murmured, more for her own benefit than Prince Gavin's, "I can't say I was quite like you, Prince. I stayed away from my parents, other than for meals. They wanted me to be a proper lady, which I was, for the most part. I didn't swear, said please, said thank you, crossed my T's and dotted my I's. Whats the fun in that, right? So I started small. Flirting with the guards, being late to dinner. Then it all snowballed. I was kissing guards by the fountain, I was having my dinner hours after my parents had eaten, and I was sleeping far too long. I shaped up a bit, and from there on my parents let me do almost whatever I wanted to. Other than leave the palace unaccompannied."
She gave a sigh. Well, now that she had explained her life to him. "Can I hear a little more about you?" she asked, "I get sick of talking after a while, believ it or not."

xxxxxxxxxxxxɪ ʂᴀẏ ʜᴀᴠɪᴎʛ ᵮᴜᴎ ɪʂ ᴛᴑᴘ ᴘʀɪᴑʀᴛẏ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Gavin listened to her with interest, occasionally nodding every now and then in what she said. As her short history of herself progressed, he found a smile was curving his lips. "Well, it's nice to know that you're not as much of a bore as you first appeared to be," he said to her, chuckling softly. "Not to offend you, Princess. But you really did rub off that way when you came in with your parents," he said to her as he turned onto a different path, heading for the edge of the garden now where you could just faintly start to hear the musical sound of water flowing.
"A girl who gets sick of talking about themselves? I must say that is a first and is very difficult to believe," he said to her, arching his brows slightly before thinking on what he could tell her. "Let's see, as soon as I could walk I have always been a pain to my parents. Or so my mother told me, I don't remember what I did when I was that young of course. When I was around twelve and had to start actually attending meetings every now and then, I would always be coming in with dirt on my pants or the sleeves on my shirt having the buttons torn off. I was quite the adventurous young boy. . . still an adverturous man to this day," he said with a small laugh as they reached a creek that flowed at the edge of the garden. There was a large rock that was nice for sitting on as he walked over there, patting the seat beside him for her to join him if she wished. "I don't really have a huge desire to be King, but I've got to be, I know that so I don't really mind. I just say to hell with all the properness of it, it's a real pain," he said with a smile. "But I'll go to the local pubs with my friends and stay out a night drinking, I'm not perfect after all, but I will tell you I don't get too drunk. Don't want you thinking ill of your husband to be do I?" he asked, his voice a little bitter on the word husband. "My parents think that if I get married, I'll be more calm and settle down a bit. They think that you will do that for me," he said glancing in her direction. "Now, do you really think you'll be able to get me to settle down? I'm curious," he asked, giving her a devilish smile.

“It’s better for a woman to be loved by her husband than love her husband…” I’ll never believe that.Lila laughed. "Well, you're pretty much stuck with me, so long as your parents like me. I don't have to impress you, I have to impress them." She took the seat next to him. He had said so much she wanted to respond to, but she didn't want to blabber until his ear fell off. "I said I don't like talking too much. The physical act of talking is annoying after a while. If I were to talk about my emotions or thoughts on the world... Well, that's a whole new situation. I do like talking about myself, just in a way that's different than most. Anyway, I have no desire to calm you. It seems like it would be like breaking a horse in, tedious, and annoying. Not to mention, I don't see anything wrong with being a little wild sometimes."
Lila got up, looked around a little, gave a small sniff of the air, then turned back to him. "Well, I know your first impression of me. That I'm a good girl who has no fun, but what's your impression of me now that you know a little more?"
