Let me give you further info. Well, I once played Super Smash Bros Melee. I liked it so much that I got Super Smash Bros Brawl. Now I hear that a new one (Super Smash Bros 4, I presume) is coming out for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, anybody have the release date?

A New SSB? Hot dayum. Time flies. I might not get it mainly because I don't think of getting the WiiU and I'm not sure how an SSB on the DS would work. But hey - we'll see!

Oh you. The development of the game hasn't even started, so we're probably looking at at least 2 years, maybe more. Nintendo likes to take their time.

Smash Bros games ARE fun, but it's a little early to speculate on much. I'm interested mostly to see how they do the 3DS version differently than the Wii U version.

I have a feeling that smash brothers for the WiiU will run as normally as it can; with the exception of the controller being in the way. I don't know how well a touch-screen is going to work with real-time commands in the same way a controller can. I just think there will be some lag.
The 3DS, however, I think will be much better suited to the task; you can have one 3DS even set up a 'host' server and have anyone else who wants to join you enter into your game, either locally or using the internet capabilities of the machine. This would also eliminate the need for seperate multiplayer engines, so more space for cool things in the coding.

they could take the high road and not use the touch screen at all for standard controls.
think like this.
what would be the best way to redo snakes final smash? make it so others can't see it till he fires. they can't see it, cause the crosshairs would be displayed on the touch screen.
my guess is if anything it'll usually be displayed for special attacks like the final smash, and maybe even a full view map so when an item appears off screen, everyone sees it happen. OOO POKEBALL! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
but yeah, if there is any lag it better not be during online brawling is all i have to say.
also i hope they do the dojo again.
but no release pushbacks.
atleast not 4+ times.

Why does the poll say Shadow is replacing Metaknight? Nothing is confirmed, or even rumoured yet, as far as characters go.
All we know is that there's going to be interactions between the 3DS version and WiiU version.
