The past is the past, but if you must now. Unlike Jade, Alison is willing to tell anyone and everyone about her past life, whether it is a sad tale or not. Having been raised in the circus, she always took the words 'a smile on your face is a smile on theirs' seriously. She always seems to be smiling and always tries to keep upbeat, but she does have a bit of a dark side. The only reason why she smiles so much is to make up for her sister's lack of doing so and hopes to one day make her big sister smile. Her mother, before she passed away, always had a happy face and told her that no matter what happened to her, to just laugh it off, for a day without laughter is a day wasted.
Though she always seems to be happy and outgoing, there was a time in which she didn't smile for several months. It was when their mother died and they were left to take on the responsibility of making the Lisan family's name honorable. At the time, she didn't know what on earth she could do to cheer up her big sister and cried all the time. It was as if her eyes had become eternal waterfalls. She'd reverted to cutting and pain medication to get through each passing day.
It wasn't until one day when she'd been hiding in one of the tiger's cages that the tiger cubs curled up next to her, purring and mewing, pleading her to stop crying. For a moment she had been startled that she had understood them and that's when her old smile returned. She had uncovered her talent: animal taming. She would then grow up to become the top animal 'tamer' in the circus, but she practically had turned her back on humanity.
It wasn't until she saw her sister frowning that she realized that she had forgotten her mother's words and vowed to make sure that her sister would again smile.
If you really knew me. I would act like this. Alison is always smiling and is never afraid to do something idiotic to make another mirror her own grin. She is rarely without a smile on her face, though she does have a few moments of seriousness. She sticks to the words: a day without smiling is a day wasted, and thus she desires to make sure that everyone's day is spent justly. She does have a short temper, but she is quicker to forgive than to hold a grudge.

My Ink and Holes. To cover the cuts on her ankles, Alison has the tattooed words of 'A smile a day keeps Death away'. On her other ankle, she has the Chinese symbol of 'Tiger' over her scars.
