topic has a installation video and written instructions that are fairly detailed on everything you need to do. it is weird i know. opening a .jar file with winrar wtf right?

I don't see any mention of SMP in the thread. Pretty definite it's single player only.

i've seen footage of people doing it in multi, just not using craftbukkit. which makes less sense since its what everyone uses.

i've seen plenty of instructions to get it to work with the standard server software. just no one has instructions for craft bukkit. so it is multi at the moment, just not on craft bukkit for some tarded reason.

The SMP version is probably a mod in and of itself and the reason you can't figure out how to get it to work is because the mod you are trying to get working is the SSP version.

The youtube video you linked wasn't for version 1.0, so even if you could get their mod, it wouldn't be compatible.

well i got it workin in single, and looking at the files theres not much difference between the setup for craftbukkit and the minecraft.jar file. because it creates new blocks it cant just become a plugin either, this could all be avoided if team mojang would finish a mod API.

They're working on it.
They've also been working on two other games.
And they don't have as many resources as say Nintendo or Blizzard.
Also Notch.

Gee. Fixing these bugs sure would take a lot more time than making a bunch of mods part of "vanilla" and calling it an update.
