II. Story
Sometimes, change is good. It helps us move forward with our lives, and onto bigger and better things. After the untimely death of Alice's father, she and her mother, Jillian, packed up and moved to another city to put the past behind them during the summer. Her mother even decided to start looking into the prospect of dating again, despite her daughter's disapproval. Alice herself was still learning to cope with her loss and her new beginnings. Things started off a little rough for them, but after Jillian started dating a local lawyer their lives have been slowly growing more stable. Although she is against having another father figure in her life, Alice is willing to put her own feelings aside after seeing how well her mother gets along with his man, Dimitri Solomon. Soon, an agreement is reached to have them all living under one roof. With the advent of Fall, change will define Alice's life as she and her mother move into her future stepfather's estate, just in time for the new semester starting at St. Peter's High School.
As the first day of school draws near, Dimitri's son, Alexander, will be returning home from an eventful summer vacation. The young man seems open minded about having a family, and is looking forward to meeting his new stepmother and stepsister. How will Alice react upon meeting her new sibling, especially after becoming enamored with Alexander after seeing a picture of him? What of the rumors floating around at school, portraying her stepbrother to be a manipulative and callous individual? Even worse, what would happen should she ever learn the shady secrets behind the Solomon's family wealth? Alice may be one step away from falling down the rabbit hole, but will she jeopardize everything she and her mother have hoped for by coming clean, or will she try to endure these new burdens in silence?
