Umm, it does have something to do with h2g2! It's been described as "The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, in game form..." maybe because it uses techniques like 'breaking the fourth wall' (acknowledging they're in fiction, and talking to the audience), and it's actually set in modern times. Just thought you ought to know.
...p.s. my favorite part in the whole trilogy was when Ford fell down that office building and flipped off the new owners of the Guide... with some Fenchurch/Arthur scenes coming in a close second! rofl
