The Rocket kitchen was always pretty well stocked with food for their pokemon but they didn't have everything. This is what found Rory in one of the specialty shops in Camphoreon City. They managed to have the treats from his home region that his pokemon adored. He made sure to stock up on a decent supply to last them a while and left the shop.

When he left the shop, Rory walked around for a while, taking in the fresh sea air. No matter how long he lived inland, he would always miss the smell of salt water from when he was younger. He wasn't paying any attention to where he was walking and ended up bumping into something.

"Sorry."

She didn't know how many bags she came out with, but her father was going to flip when he finds some unknown charges from a pokemon toy store on his debit card. After she bought one stuffed animal, she just had to have at least one more and that one more turned into three more and so fourth. The smell of the sea water made her want to puke slightly, but she would get used to it the more she traveled from HQ into the city.

She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and the next thing she knew, bags were in the air and there was a nice stinging sensation in her bottom. What is it with people and NOT paying attention?! The red head quickly got annoyed and got up, picking up her bags along the way.

"Sorry? Just watch where your going and you wouldn't HAVE to be sorry..."

One of her stuffed animals was quite dirty and BOY this person better hope they have the cash to replace it...

Or there will be trouble.

He was about to apologize to the person he had bumped into again except the tone in the girl's voice had grated on his nerves. He had thought he'd left the bitchy, do what they want you to type girls back in Kanto. Apparently he had been wrong and they existed in both regions.

Rory looked down at his feet and noticed the pokemon toys that the girl was picking up. He rolled his eyes, was he seriously being fussed at because of fallen stuffed animals? It's not like would break or couldn't be cleaned.

"Yes princess," he began sarcastically, "please forgive me for getting caught up in enjoying the weather and not expecting you to step out in front of me."

princess?! Last time she checked, she was no princess....And this man's TONE was going to earn him a black eye and possibly a sore groin if he kept it up. Picking up her last stuffed animal with a small growl, angry purple eyes looked up only to shift to surprise. She'd ran into HIM!?

of all the people to show her a** to, this was one of the people she didn't want to show ANYTHING to.

"Rory?"

The girl was calling him by name. He didn't even know anyone in this town, how did she know his name?

He looked down and saw a pair of familiar purple eyes looking up at him causing his heart to drop to his stomach. Of course!

"Ally?"

She didn't know this guy could sound like a complete jackass when he usually studders while he talks. Go figure on that one, all guys were jackasses anyway. Should be nothing unusual for the red head anyway.

Not that she's met many guys in her lifetime.

Ally tilted her head to the side in a curious manner. What was he doing here anyway? Not that it was any of her business.... didn't he owe her something? Or maybe I was her imagination? Nah, she knew what it was, she just didn't know when the right time was to bring it up. Maybe now would work? Hopefully he wouldn't get mad....

"You know....You owe me a battle.... "

a challenge the only way ally knew how to present it.

Of course! He should have known she was just like all the rest of the girls he had met; nice to look at but bitchy enough to keep him from wanting to get to know them. It shouldn't have surprised him nearly as much as it had.

If there was one thing he had learned it was that girls never change.

Rory raised his eyebrow and folded his arms over his chest. He owed her a battle? What? OH that day in the infirmary.

A smirk stretched across his face, "I guess I do. You want to cash that rain check in now then?"

For some odd reason, she found that smirk a taaaaaaad bit distracting. But not distracting enough that she would forget what she was going to say right? She pulled out Cosmos's ball from her messenger and studied it. Hopefully the pikachu could kick any pokemon he decided to throw her way so she could laugh in his face.

"Hell yes I do....Imma kick your a**!"

That would've been something serious if she didn't wink at him...

Why the HELL did she just try to wink at him?! No Ally, flirting is not good to do with your opponent.....

What was with the winking? Wasn't she just about to have his head a few minutes ago?

At her comment, Rory smirked again and pulled his Ponyta's 'ball from his belt. "Alright, if that's what you want to think, little Red."

He had seen her main pokemon before. If Pinkie couldn't take the insane little mouse, something was wrong.

Maybe she should rethink this. Cosmos wasn't very stong at the moment because Ally had no time to train him. But maybe, MAYBE if she played her cards right, she could chip away at Pinkie's HP till she fainted.

That should work if anything, and if it didnt work, she'd be so screwed it was pitiful. She had to take a moment to blink. Little red? Where the hell did that come from?

"Your funny. Seeing as that name remined me of little red riding hood, maybe I should call you something from there? Cosmos go!"

She could think of nicknames later, right now, she needed to focus on the battle.

Rory laughed at her. "Whatever little Red. Let's see what that mouse of yours can do." he taunted as he released Pinkie from her pokeball. This probably wasn't the best idea but if she really wanted to battle him, who was he to stop her?

Pinkie shook out her mane and looked around her. She let out a happy cry when she spotted the red head girl she had met before. She looked at her trainer curiously when she spotted the blue Pikachu standing across from her. Were they playing again?

"Pinkie, use Fire Spin!"

Okay not playing. She looked at the red head and her Pikachu sadly; she didn't want to fight them. She took a breath and released the blaze of fire Cosmos' way.

Okay so maybe this wasnt such a good idea after all. She didnt know what level pinkie was...She forgot to ask, and that would prove to be a fatal error in this battle. She didnt have much time left and that fire looked mightly dangerous.

"Cosmos, try to dodge it and use tail whip!"

Ally hoped this would turn out in her favor, considering she hasnt had the time to properly train Cosmos to the best of his abilities.

"Why dont we do this: If one of use wins, then we have to do something for the other alright?"

Cosmos' tail whip didn't have too much effect on the fire horse. She looked back at her trainer again. Did she really have to do this?

Rory considered the offer she made. "Alright. Say you do win, what do you want?" He would have to think up something because he doubted the match would go on for too long.

"Pinkie, use Stomp!"

Pinkie made a discontented noise once again and huffed Rory's way before charging towards the small mouse.

Ally paled. This wasn't going to go good she could assume, because Como's moves had no effect on the pink ponyta before her. She decided that cosmos would have to go out with a bang. There was no way she was going to use Harbinger or Saph. who was still a baby as far as she was concerned.

"Cosmos, use thunder shock! And if I win, you have to buy me bubble tea!"

Cosmos nodded and looked at the charging pokemon, knowing this was going to hurt him more than her. Sighing, he took his stance and started charging.

"Pika.........CHU!!!!"

And thunderwave was a go, but it looked like he was going to get hurt.

Rory nodded in agreement to the condition she set for the bet.

"Sounds fair. And if I win, you have to take me out for dinner." He knew it probably wasn't the best idea but he couldn't help winking at her from his side of the field.

Pinkie collided with Cosmos just in time for her hooves to land on him as the thunder shock hit her. She looked down at the pokemon under her hooves sadly as she let out a pained cry.

Wait...Why did SHE have to buy him dinner when all she asked for was some bubble tea? A kiss wouldve been better than that! She didnt want to spend the money she earned on food....

Well, food she had to buy for some one else at least. The wink Rory sent didnt go unnoticed and Ally blushed a bit before trying to gain her composure for the next move. She already knew Pinkie was stronger than Cosmos, so they would just have to ship at her till she wore down, then go for the final strike.

"Cosmos use---!!! COSMOS?!"

The poor pikachu had been stomped on and she was sure he would have no energy left after that. She lost, but now Cosmos was hurt and she needed to take care of him before he hated her later for even making this stupid challenge.

"Ill buy you dinner, but that's it...."

Poor little guy,

She really needed to train him more.
