The Agincourt hotel is located in the heart of downtown Chicago it caters to the ritziest of the high off the hog gents as well as having cheap affordable rooms for the working class man..or woman. Some of the residents here are permanent whereas others come for a night or perhaps even just a few hours. There have been rumors of things occurring her of questionable legality but so long as the right palms get greased the boys in blue turn a blind eye, to certain patrons. So if you do venture to stay a night or perhaps become a permanent resident always remember curiosity has killed more than just a few cats.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf was pretty tired. He decided to head up to his room for a nap and maybe unpack some things. When he got up to his room he put his trench knife on the end table and his Mauser under his pillow. Then he smoked his pipe for a while before settling in for a brief nap...

Sheila Locklear Sheila sat at the small desk in her room typing out the reports she had brought home from the station. There just weren't enough hours in the day to keep up with everything. Sheila wished there was more help but the second any other woman found a man it was gold bands and baby carriages, and she swore she would not allow that for herself she was more than that. Determined to prove her worth at the station beyond just being a secretary she had memorized many case files and completely alphabetized the records room, but so far it only succeeded in making others feel threatened and lea to her being called all sorts of lovely things behind her back. Pulling the page from her typewriter she added it to the pile and made sure they were all lined up in the folder. Well, girl you only have four more pages then you will be done and can go find something for dinner. She said to herself as she began typing out the next page of notes...

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM After about an hour of sleep Gerulf woke up. He decided to go and find a place to eat. He got dressed and went down to the lobby where the man at the front desk informed him that he would "find more of his own kind" at a nearby club called the Golden Peacock. Ignoring the comment he headed to his car.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf gave the man at the front desk an uncoordinated nod as he tried to nonchalantly walk to the stairs. He got up to his floor and walked over to his door. He fiddled with his key for about five minutes and could not, for the life of him figure out why his key wasn't working. Frustrated, tired, and still very drunk (he'd gotten into his stash on his way home) he decided that the door was a minor obstacle. He pulled out his Mauser and emptied a burst of automatic fire into the area around the lock. He pushed the door open, not noticing that the number on the door read "8" instead of "7"...

Sheila Locklear Armed with the 1911 her father gave her she crouched behind her bed and took aim at chest level waiting for the door to swing wide. Not sure who it would be and what they wanted, she only assumed it had to be some of the records she was trying out from the notebooks of the homicide officers. Sheila would not fire immediately till she saw who it was, but she hoped the incompetent at the desk would react and call the police when he heard gunfire.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf shuffles into the room. He slips his gun back into it's holster as he crosses the threshold into the room. He stops and looks around... "Zish is nicht mine room... Scheishe..." He looks around and then notices the woman pointing a pistol at him from behind the bed. "Das eizer a Colt or ein Browning..." He squints through the booze at her. He turns slightly to look at the door. "Ja. Zish ist nicht mine room..." He kind of leans up against the wall and slides down it and passes out.

Sheila Locklear A Kraut? She thinks as she slowly stands and begins to slowly approach him. When she gets close enough she kicks his foot then steps back quickly. Whoever he was he wreaked to high hell like a distillery. A true tribute to the effectiveness of the Volstead Act. If he was cocked enough that he was out she planned to tie him to a chair then call some detective to take him to holding. Although explaining why he was in her room, and decided it would be a good idea to use a gun to open the door would be a little hard to explain, as she hadn't the foggiest idea herself.

Sheila Locklear Sheila did not have much but a few of her silk neck scarfs and the cord from her bath robe worked well enough to bind her drunken intruder to her desk chair. When he was secure she took the liberty of emptying all his pockets onto her desk. She found a little money German and American, a dagger on his hip, a 7.63 Mauser c96 he used to shoot out her door in his shoulder holster and business cards. Walking over to her sink she filled a cup with water and stood in front of the unknown man and threw the ice cold water into his face. "Wake up, Hans" she said coolly but kept a stern demeanor.

SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf sputtered momentarily and sobered up just enough to see straight. He looked around for moment and tried to move, realizing that his captor had tied him up. "Nun, das wird nie alt..." he wistfully comments, thinking briefly of Francesca. "Unt mine namen ist nicht Hans, ist Gerulf." He fidgets a moment. "Du took mine pistole unt mine messer, unt tied me up..." He looked up into the eyes of the woman who had him at his mercy, again thinking of Francesca, just less wistfully... "Vas are sie doing vit me?"

Sheila Locklear "Well Gerulf, your weapons will be impounded along with you in the local precinct's jail." She said as she looked at the knife before placing it back down on her desk. "If I could I would make you repair my door, since I doubt you would comply. I will instead ask you a few questions. Why you chose to shoot out my door? What were you looking for and where did you come by enough booze to make you wreak like a distillery?" As she spoke she opened a desk drawer and pulled out a pen and a pad of paper writing down all that had happened since Gerulf shot out her door to now and all that he had said.

Brian Tate Things at the precinct were hardly ever classified as boring, this was a big city after all. Things happened all the time. Disturbances, robberies, gunfights. And ever since the Prohibition Act, things had been even more intense. Can you imagine trying to regulate and stop all alcohol? It was truly a nightmare. Emptying it into sewers and arresting owners of speakeasies. As a police officer one felt obligated to uphold the letter of the law. Well, if you were a good cop, with at least some set of morals to guide your compass. If you were a corrupt cop, however...
Brian had gotten chosen to go out on a certain call, driving a patrol car down to the Agincourt Hotel. Puffing out a breath he eyeballed the entrance and made his way inside. All it took was a flash of his badge to get him upstairs to where the call had originated from. From what he'd understood it was a woman caller who had an unwanted house guest. Heading upstairs he idly took in the door numbers until he came to room eight. Peering around the corner before rapping his knuckles against the doorway. "Ma'am? Got a call about an intruder?" Stepping so he was slightly in the room, taking a look around before pausing, eying the scene in front of him quizzically. "Huh. Looks like you've got this well in hand, miss." And if that was amusement in his voice he'd never tell.

Sheila Locklear "Drop the ma'am stuff, I called it in, but I am far from a helpless little girl." She said curtly, the stuff on the desk belongs to him he says his name is Gerulf. "This man is guilty of violation of the Volstead act, public intoxication, carrying illegal weapons, unlawful entry and God only knows what else." She added as she looked at the young officer who had answered her phone call for someone to come and pick him up.

[ Sorry it took so long] SIC VIS PACEMPARA BELLVM Gerulf started to sober up a bit more, but not by much. The water and adrenaline helped. "Mine frauline, I vill off course fix your door, nicht personally, but I vill pay for it's beheben. Unt you can haff mine gun, but ze knife ist more difficult to akvire unt has sentimental vert." After he spoke a police officer came into the door.
