Finding the corridor had honestly been a complete and total accident. But of course, no would believe Belladonna should she make it back to tell her tale. Really, she had just been idly wandering the school (alright, maybe looking for the corridor) and as her mind started to wander, so did her feet. It was only when she realized she had walked outside did she stop and discover she had found exactly what she had been (not) looking for. "Well this certainly looks... Run-down." The witch remarked as she stood at the base of a large, grey house. It didn't look formidable at all! It didn't even look lived in. If there were Hunters here, the witch didn't see them.
Belladonna shrugged once and turned back to return to the school, only to discover that behind her simply lay trees. Barren, homey looking trees, but a forest nonetheless. "OK. Maybe not..." She said as she turned back to face the tall house. So! Where were these oh-so-terrifying hunters, anyways? If they lived in a shack like this, the witch wondered over their motives. Maybe instead of being mean, they were just jealous. Halloween Town had some swank homes.

Practice was practice was practice, but a duty was a duty as well. Being assigned to Haunted House Patrol after the portals were opened had Molly a bit wary, considering her last encounter there, but she had a job to do. The portal, this time, seemed to drop her off around the outside of the Haunted House. Huh! Molly’s brows furrowed as she summoned her weapon, resting the monster lance across her shoulder. Well…regardless, one could never be too careful.
Molly started to make her way around, looking at the run down house with a curious eye. It was rather eerie when she observed it like this, though she didn’t linger on the thought for too long as Vaska immediately alerted her to a source of FEAR. Molly’s head snapped forward, and it was then she caught sight of a…she was taken a back.
Why…that just looked like a another young woman dressed up for Hallo—
<It is a reaper, yeh twit! Most human-like only in appearance, I can smell the FEAR rolling off! Hurry and strike before the ghoul gets yeh! She migh’ know some magic!>
Molly’s hesitation was cut short at that rather insistent demand by her partner, and thus the Mist trainee stepped out into the open, her giant lance drawn and ready, and pointed threateningly at the witch. Her expression was that of a stern frown with her brows furrowed.

For a long moment, the witch only stared up at the house, hands on her hips as she weighed her options. If she went into the house, she'd probably meet a hunter and have an epic battle. Or should could find nothing and just wander around and maybe take a few objects. (Because what was the point of visiting a mysterious house if one didn't take a token of their time there?) And if she couldn't find anything of use, she'd at least return with the knowledge that yes, she could access the corridor. Or she could just wait out on the lawn a little bit longer. The lawn was safe. No Hunters here!
Eeerrr.... Well.... A bit of shuffling behind her made Belladonna jump and whirl around, only to be confronted with a strange sight. Though she had heard of them, Belladonna had never seen a human in real life. The SkeeV didn't count, but this girl looked... Not very Hunter-esque. For some reason, the witch was expecting something more... Big? Scary? Not so cute and dainty-looking? It was hard not to blurt out a friendly greeting as Belladonna was wont to do, but the one thing that kept her from doing just such a thing was the very decided lack of black clothing. Not a smudge of darkness resided on this girl and that deeply unsettled the witch.
That and her fighting stance was a little exuberant, what with that huge lance and all. "I like your shoes." Was all that she could think to say as she straightened up a little and prepared to fight.
((Rolling for first strike. If you roll higher, feel free to double post and start the battle!))

Confused colored Molly…especially as the…creature…humanoid thing….insisted that she compliment it.
<Tell her the walls of the house will look lovely painted in her blood while I consume her FEAR…>
Molly was not about to tell her that, Halloween creature or not. The Trainee was caught by surprise though as the witch darted forward and gave her a small slap. Molly yelped, drawing her hand back and waving it a bit to shake off the sting. She could move fast despite being in that poofy dress! “I…I…really like your hair?” She squeaked out, and in retaliation, Molly quickly closed the distance between the two, defying the heavy appearance of her weapon, and pulled it back. She then thrust it at the witch, brows furrowed, listening as Vaska hungrily absorbed her FEAR.

Well sneeze fire and save magic.
The lance was not just a lance and Jack-damn did that thing hurt! The witch cried out as it hit her, but she bit back the whimper it left lingering in her throat. It would do no good to show exactly how painful that had been, but it also would have been foolish to keep fighting. A little mad at herself for not doing it sooner, the witch dug around in one of her pockets and pulled out a deck of cards. With a flick of her hand they were out and into the air, circled around her like a protective ring. Unfortunately they would not protect her, for the next attack Molly made would be dodged by the cards. They were merely the weapon, not the shield.
With another flick of her hand, Belladonna pulled one of the cards out from the circle at random and tossed it into the air above her head. The card faded away to a moon and the witch took a deep breath as she channeled her FEAR. This was something new she had never tried before, so when the full moon that appeared above her head swiftly grew dark, she knew she was in trouble. For a moment her eyes widened, but she quickly turned it into a smile. This Hunter wouldn't know that she had failed in her healing spell if she played it off. Hunters probably thought that Halloweeneers only believed in spells that involved black. Good. Let her think that while the witch thought of what else to do to save her hide... She only had one tactic left: Stall.
"So what's your name anyways? Besides small, cute and curly?" Why was she sort of complimenting her?! This girl was kicking her bubble-butt! "What's your deal? Your driving factor, your purpose, your dream?" Yes. Now was a wonderful time to have a meaningful conversation with the girl who was trying to kill you.
