I am looking for one on one partners. Simple enough right? Well I'll try to be fairly straightforward. I am looking for guys and girls alike to create a world of our own. Even if it is a historical backdrop, we can still make it ours. I am a true romantic at heart and I love stories of adventure and discovery. Complicated characters with history and depth. I also like fairy tales. You know. Knights in shining armor, princesses, and tales of adventure and quests. I want to do something like that with a partner. Male or female it does not matter. I think we should use multiple characters to create a world all our own. I have several different scenerios in my head and I thought to list them below. If you use them, please do not steal. I'd appreciate it.
Note: Be willing to role play more than one character, more than one sex and write upwards from one paragraph with proper spelling and grammar. Thank you.
I myself typically write two to four paragraphs on average, will not cyber, and prefer role playing via PMs, Google Documents, and Forums here on Gaia.
The Lost Princess
Medieval Fantasy
Her country was once powerful and rich. One of the best countries that there could be in the whole of the world. She had been betrothed at birth to the neighboring King's son. A boy only a few years older than herself. She grew up, knowing she would marry him, never expecting that her country would be overwrought by enemy forces and revolution. When the castle was taken, she disappeared, presumed dead. Twelve years later, the prince from the neighboring country along with his friend and valet are on a hunting trip, getting away from the palace life, never expecting to come across a girl who is wearing the necklace of his betrothed. She is wild and scarecly dressed, but seeing that locket , the color of her eyes, he knows she is the lost princess. So thinking, he takes her back to his home and palace, determined to marry her and make her into a proper lady. With the help of his sister, he hopes all goes well. He never expects that he is placing his bride in danger. Especially when those that overthrew her family, find out that she is alive.
An Arrangement
Medieval Fantasy
A young King (who is in his twenties or thirties) is marrying a young princess. The daughter of his enemy, he means to bring their two kingdoms together through this union. The young princess is shy and naive, kept away from most men except for her father and brother and is uncertain of the match that her father wants between herself and the King who is their enemy. Her task, as his wife, is to spy on him and report the findings to her father and brother. She does not wish to but she knows if she does not do as her father wishes, she can most certainly be hurt for it. The King's brother hates the fact that his brother is wanting to bring peace and is mostly led by this devious woman who wants to become queen herself. She can be a sorceress of sorts who is entrancing the King's brother in order to get what she wants.
The Knight's Bride
Medieval
She had been a child bride to a young man more in love with the thought of war then a skinny gangly thirteen year old girl. After fighting in a war, the Knight returns to his keep to find that the girl he left behind is no longer a girl but a woman. A very opinionated, stubborn woman. She is not the meek and docile wife he wanted but rather a woman who is used to doing things herself. She has been married five years without a man telling her what to do so she resents his authority. He means to tame his wild wife but also finds himself enraptured by her.
The second pairing is up for debate. If you want to do a second main pairing, we can discuss further plot developments and details of your ideas.
The Rancher's Mail-Order Bride
Western
It was a chance to leave her life behind. An advertisement in the paper. So she went west to a place called Paradise, Texas, becoming wife to a man who had a couple of daughters to raise. The daughters hate her, thinking she is a replacement for their mother and the only reason the man wants her is as a housekeeper and caregiver for his girls. He's still in love with his first wife. As time progresses, the two begin to fall but soon, her past begins to come back upon them and places her husband and new family in danger.

The Backwoodsman's Wife
Western/Frontier
He spent his days working up high in the mountains on his farm. A backwoodsman. A man that was seperated from the rest of society for most of the year. He only has one problem. He needs a wife. Ever since his mother died, he and his brothers have had need of a woman around the house. So one day, he decides to go to town, trade his supplies and find a wife to take home that day. He meets a spinister of a girl working at the local restaurant and decides she is the one he wants. Somehow, he convinces her to marry him and she is just happy that some man has finally decided to marry her and take her away from the boring life she leads serving food and cooking. What she doesn't know is that the man she marries has (two to four) younger brothers. When she gets to his home, she has to adjust. Will these two find happiness together? Or will her husband only ever think of her as a housekeeper and a cook? - Inspired greatly by Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Other Pairings could involve the oldest brother's younger brothers. If you have seen Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, we can even do something like that.
The Farmer's Daughter
Modern
He came to the farm for a summer job. She was the boss' daughter and off limits. High mainentence to be sure. But how it happens, no one knows. Her dad forbids the relationship but she just can't help but love the rough and tumble farm hand. This one is cliched, yes, but cliche is so much fun.

The Ranchers and Their Wives
Modern
The Older Brother's Story: This story could tie in with the first idea I have. A man, having lost his wife and daughter in a car accident three years before and instead of being the multimillionaire ranch owner he is, he runs the rails. Something still common to this day. While running the rails, he comes across a young woman with a newborn baby, beaten and battered. Deciding to help her, not knowing why, he saves her from some rough criminals and decides to take her to his ranch. A place he hasn't seen since his wife and child's funeral. Along the way, he learns her heart wrenching story and decides that marriage is the best option. The mother is unsure of him, as her only experience with men has been abusive. Each of them have their personal tragedy but it is the tie that binds them. As they learn to love, danger from her past is just around the corner.
The Younger Brother's Story: A young woman, born and raised in Montanna, was once a famous barrel racer. When she was eighteen, she got in a riding accident, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. She ends up working for her father at his tractor supply store. The daughter of a former rancher, she knows her way around. One day a man walks in and flirts with her. she flirts back of course and when he asks her out she reveals that she is paralyzed. Unfettered, he keeps to asking her out. She is self conscious about her physical disabilities. He has his own baggage, dealing with a five year old kid and a b***h of an ex wife who causes trouble for him and for her.
-Based on Baby Love and Phantom Waltz by Catherine Anderson
Blinded
Modern
A sculptor is famous for her textural and beautiful pieces and a rich businessman with a thing for fine art, decides to visit her and ask for a commission, only to find her to be blind. Fascinated, he gets to know her, learning that this woman does not consider blindness a disability as others do. He is drawn to her inner strength and fire and gets to know her for who she is, finding her inner strength what he is lacking in himself.

These are the ideas that I have for now. If you don't like them then I'm sure we can discuss other plots of your own. I don't do fandoms so please don't ask me to. Though I do take inspiration from places like romance novels, A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, The Borgias and other books / movies / tv shows. I will never do a fandom. Sorry.
