Rules:
By now, most of you should know the basic rules of any normal roleplay...If something occurs which is out of line, I'll just comment on something...OR just let it go and have some brilliant, violent conclusion. mrgreen
Setting:
This is a basic story of war of humans against demons with half-breeds in the mix. Choose your side, and choose your reasons.
Characters:
Humans: It shouldn't be too hard to imagine what humans are...
The only thing that they have over the demons is their knowledge of the land, giving them an edge when hiding.
Demons: They come in any variety imaginable. (Yes, I'm encouraging imagination here! USE THOSE GRAY THINGS CALLED BRAINS!!))It is not known WHY they want humanity gone, it is only known that they have the MEANS to do so...
Half-Breeds: As the name suggests, a being born of a human and a demon. Although rare, they do occur. They have human compassion, and the abilities of their demonic origins. Among humanity, they're not despised, but are always wary of. Among Demons, they are hated, and sometimes killed as if they were human. |

Race: Demon.
Age: Unknown.
Gender: Male.
History: Omazige was born of Demons who opposed the idea that humans deserved nothing but death. Both deceased. They were killed when he was born by his father's fellow demons as a sign.
How he survived and showed up in the human world is quite a mystery all on its own, but it's clear he shows no love for the majority of the Demons around him.
Anything Special?: Omazige is a Mackt. A Demon race that is infamous for its need for combat and an extraordinary fortitude and measure of strength, allowing him to fight longer, and at a much higher level than humans and a good amount of demons. The armor he wears is made out of an unknown material, and has proven that, even with its encumbersome weight, is impossible to destroy. Due to training with it for an unknown amount of time, it has become as light as normal clothing for him.

Race: Half-Breed
Age: 16
Gender: Female
History: Hael can remember very little of her parents. Just that her mother was a demon and her father a hermit of the humans. Not much could be said about her father: he raised to the age of 3 before dumping her off on someone else's doorstep, which soon her pattern of life during early childhood - being dumped off at a different doorstep once every month, sometimes even more. All she could learn about her mother was that she was a shifter of some sort, which Hael can also do, but not very much.
Anything Special?: The reason why Hael was traded off between homes was because of her shifting and the problems they cause. It was noticed when she was calm and/or unemotional she would turn into what many called a Creeper, one who lurks in the shadows and even uses them to their advantage by bending the shadows into their favor. But whenever in emotional distress she had a second transformation, one much larger and ten times more dangerous. The second transformation seemed to be more easily triggered though by anger, and like any young child Hael got angry a lot. They described the two transformations in her as her white and black sides, seeing how the two color are exact opposites just like her two transformations: one small and easily unnoticed, the other large and destructive.

History: Even before the demons invaded the human world, he had led them for countless millenia.
When the way to the Human World opened, he entered along with many others to see what was to behold in this new opportunity...And so far, the humans had given little opposition.
Anything Special?: His normal power revolves around fear. The ability to bring a person's fear about, and the ability to kill them with such a thing.
He is able to 'Ascend' his form if needed when something becomes a threat. Just being near him causes a person's mind to become unstable...

Gender: Female
History: Not much is known of Kagu, just that she is a shape shifting demon. She's different from other shifters though. Where as most Shifters are copy cats, Kagu steals the original. If she's able to strike at the chest of any enemy, an orb will suddenly appear from the victim: their soul. If consumed, Kagu not only gains their form, but their mind as well, giving her the knowledge of her victims which help lead her to more villages, or more demons. Sometimes though a soul will still fight back even after death. When another soul takes over so does their form and for a short time they can run freely in Kagu's body, but only a few have managed to do such things to her. And they were quickly broken into submission.
Anything Special?: Two very important souls were taken from Kagu, which has upset her greatly. She know who has the souls, and will stop at nothing to get her souls back.

History: Astaroth has served under Recht for as long as he can remember. He has always been positioned as one of his main champions, and has, on countless occasions, led slaughtering waves against humanity.
He has no creed other than his own.
Anything Special?: Astaroth cares little for life in any extent. He only cares for what is required of him. As long as he gets the results requested, he doesn't care if an entire species is wiped off the Earth. He is in command of demonic creatures known simply as 'Demon Brutes'. The name fell upon them for obvious reasons...
The armor he wears is considered indestructible, and his helmet seems completely attached to the armor, showing that it never comes off.

Name: Menos
Race: Demon.
Age: Unknown.
Gender: Male.
History: Menos' past is shrouded in mystery just like his race. He only appeared a short while ago after an uprising, dealing with Recht. It is rumored he is against the current overlord's reign...
Anything Special?: Menos' race of demon is almost never seen. Their existance on its own, is a mystery. Their abilities are unknown because of this...The attire he wears is a garb created by his race, The Seekers. The clothing is only able to be worn by them. If anyone else tried to put it on, their bones are liable to snap under the weight...

History: Not very much is known about Caius. He used to work for Recht just as a common foot soldier before he defected for unknown reasons. After Caius defected he went through a lot of trouble to burn up any record of his past to hide the shame he bares from it, including a name change.
Anything Special?: Caius's power lays within his weapon. If needed he can pull enegry from the blade, giving him a boost in battle when the oppent would be weak and tired. This is a rather diffecult trick as he has to give up his own enegry (or force someone else too), otherwise it's just an oridinary blade.
His blade also has the ability to change. Say a battle requires something like a dagger, his weapon can change into a dagger. Need a claymore? It can change it into and many, many other things...

Race: Demon
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
History: Zero is the only pureblood of his existence. Unlike all other life, he has existed since the very beginning. He seems to have disappeared awhile ago, with no trace to his location...
Anything Special?: He has the capability to fly, and even move things with an invisible force, resembling The Seekers. His abdomen appears to have a large zipper going diagonally down from the right shoulder to the left hip. The use of this is unknown.

Race: Human
Age: 36
Gender: Male
History: Akito has done many things during his time that make him regret most of his life. Out of all the things he's done though, one mistake has haunted him ever since he was a young man: his daughter.
When Akito reached the age of 23, he seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth. No one heard or seen from him again. It was believed he was killed in the demon attack upon his house. He has only recently came back into existence as a quiet but deadly man.
Anything Special?: Not very much can be said about Akito. For as long as anyone can remember - IF anyone can remember him - he's been a quiet man who kept to himself. The only notable thing is he seems to takes on a fatherly role towards children and is extremely over protective of them, especially girls.
Akito has also gone under serious training. For anyone who sees him fight, they describe Akito as a bit of an Assassin now, though he's not in the business of taking contracts and killing others.

Name: Zahlah-Rell; Rell to those who know him personally, and any name relating to the Reaper to others.
Race: Demon.
Age: Unknown.
Gender: Male.
History: Typically seen as the Grim Reaper, Zahlah-Rell is one of the last remaining of his kind. Their purpose, ironically, is the same as commonly seen in both the Human and Demon worlds. His kind, the Kuolema, take the souls of the dead, as well as the living, yet no one knows what happens to these souls afterward...When any of their kind appear in the open on the Demon world, any and all take notice, and not even the leaders of the Demons could stop whatever they want.
Anything Special?: Zahlah-Rell's Scythe, aptly named the 'River Styx' does not appear to go by the laws of reality. Armor, shielding, or anything else will be torn through as if it didn't even exist...
His body seems to be more Ethereal than physical. Any sort of attack just goes through him as if he were a ghost. This also works in the same fashion with solid objects.
His scythe's energy seems to come from nothing normal on either the Demon world, or the human world...

Race: Demon
Age: Estimated 1,000 years. Doesn't look a day over 18.
Gender: Female
History: Much like many of Kagu's children, Tabari was quickly rejected by her mother when she was unable to wield her mysterious scythe making her utterly useless to the woman. With her father being unknown, Tabari was left to raise herself at the age of three. She wandered in the Demonic Realm for about a year, before being found by a group of Seekers. Tabari stayed with the Seekers for the next five hundred years, before finally breaking free of them, and setting out on her own.
Anything Special?: Much like her mother, Tabari has the ability to shape shift. However, she is a 'copycat'. While her mother takes the original form, Tabari takes on the image of whatever she is seeing (or imagining).

Race: Half-Breed
Age: 19
Gender: Female
History: When her mother fell in love with a human they had many peaceful years together in hiding. Her mother had a bounty on her head since she was considered a traitor of the demon army. Eventually, they had Aurora and thats when their life became hard. One day, as Aurora was playing in the snowy mountain tops a demon spotted her and attacked. Luckily her mother was near and protected her however her mothers heart was crushed and both her and the demon passed away. Her father, in fear of them being caught, ran and hid in multiple places as well as teaching Aurora along the way. Her father soon passed from a deadly disease and she was left to fend for herself at the age of 10. She's had many encounters and has swiftly hidden to avoid any major battles. She now travels alone and is very wary of telling anyone who she truly is.
Anything Special?: She can manipulate water as well as ice. She can heal others, but only a minimal amount and tries her best to never use her powers unless she has to.
Other: She carries a bow and arrow as well as a knife for self defense. She looks like she's 16, but her appearance doesn't age as fast as a regular humans. She hates spicy things, as well as body's of water ((She cannot swim for her life)) and thunder storms.

History: Yuni was a demon under the command of a secret team led by Yuki, her sister. When they were ordered to invade the human world and start the first attacks, Yuki hesitated to lead them. Which resulted in Yuni taking charge. Yuni was furious with her sister and told her to think about where her loyalties had lied. After a few months Yuni noticed Yuki acting strangely and kept an eye on her. One night Yuki vanished, Yuni was angry and hurt that her sister left. After a few years Yuni turned cold-hearted and was in command of the secret forces that her sister had left behind. When Yuki's body was found and she was dead, Yuni knew instantly that she had mated with a human and had to of had a child. Yuni vowed she would make the humans suffer for taking her sister away and that she would get her sisters daughter back and teach her the ways of being a true demon, even if she despised it.
Anything Special?: Yuni has multiple, rare and special abilities. She can read the minds of her opponents, and mess with them mentally. She can also use telekinesis to move unwanted guests and objects. As well as using her ninja art of invisibility to sneak past her enemies with ease. She has learned how to use lightning as a last defense, and well her sex appeal usually does the trick to fool humans of her identity.

On a clear day in the Human Realm, things seemed quiet for once.
Humanity was slowly learning effective ways to stay hidden from Demons, and most Demons gave up on extensive searches years ago.
For now, everything held onto a limited grasp of 'normalcy'...
...Up until someone looked up into the sky, and saw what looked like a giant, flying Chimera soaring through the sky. The oddest thing about it though, was not the creature itself, but the fact bodies of Demons were being flung off of its back.
A fight was happening on top of the damn thing.
"Oh come on! I figured after I taught the LAST five guys the joys of flight you all would be a bit more cooperative!!" one of the people yelled, while the others growled at the man, weapons drawn.
"Oh, that's a nice little butter-knife." the man told the Demons as he slowly grabbed the handle of a Claymore on his back and lifted the entire weapon into the air.
"MINE'S BIGGER, ASSHOLES!" he barked before charging at the group, reducing them down to one, who was now terrified enough to slowly be taking steps backward.
The man just stared at the Demon.
"Just....Just jump off..." he said, the Demon actually complying.
"Right....." he grunted, turning around to look at the back of the Chimera's head.
"Honestly. This thing is an eyesore above the damn mountains! It'd be a crime against COMMON SENSE to keep in in the air!" he said, before walking to the neck.
"So yeah. In other words. Uh, die." he said, before swinging the sword through the Chimera's neck, decapitating it.
"Dammit, I should have thought of something more witty to say, like 'head's up', or 'Gonna take some off the top', or...." the man grumbled before realizing something.
He just decapitated the creature flying above the mountains and was now falling along with it's corpse.
He looked down at the now-open space where the head used to be and saw the ground quickly growing in size.
"...............FffffffffffffffffUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!" he yelled before the Chimera slammed into the ground, causing a crater where it landed, which, fortunately, was not too close to a Human Settlement to get affected, but close enough to see the whole ordeal..
As the dust settled, a figure was seen slowly climbing up the crater and back to the surface.
"Well..." The man said, standing straight up.
"That....That went better than expected." he added, before falling forward, flat on his face. Out cold.

Aurora had been running for some time now from some demons and she was surprised to see then stop and look at the sky with horror. She was curious as to why there attention wasn't on her anymore but she simply took the option to ran faster and distant herself from them.
After what seemed like centuries, she came to a stop and finally noticed what was going on, "you've got to be shitting me... what the hell are they doing on the thing?!" she asked herself. When she noticed something falling off the creature, she looked more closely and noticed that they were demons falling and that a demon was standing their ground, "damn" she said, holding new found respect for the courageous man.
When the last one fell she noticed that the monsters head was cut off clean and that they both began to fall. His voice echoed "..........FffffffffffffFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!". She slapped her forehead lightly, "he might be strong and brave but that doesn't mean he's the brightest..." she mumbled, as the earth shook like an earthquake was occurring.
She tried to keep her balance and was falling terribly. Once the quakes stopped, she walked over to the massive crater and saw the man passed out cold.
She sighed, 'I don't have time to take care of him... I have my own problems... but if i don't he'll surly be found and killed...' she thought. She eventually gave in and put him on her back as they vanished into the misty forest, "i'm going to regret this later..." she mumbled.

Hael watched the sky with worry as the chimera flew above the village she partially called home. Once it had been spotted, the villagers quickly fled to their homes, or nearby establishments if their homes were too far to hide in. Even though the human-hunting had virtually ended, memories of murder still haunted these villagers enough to play it safe, and hide away when demons and their creatures were spotted.
While the others ran in terror, slamming their doors shut, Hael had been purposely left out in the streets, open and exposed. Her destructive past left her rather unwanted in the village. With hard work, she could earn a meal here and there from the people, but no one had lately opened their door for shelter. Too often her black form destroyed the homes she was welcomed in, and people eventually just stopped welcoming here. So of course, when demons appeared and everyone needed a place to hide, she was kept out. Her only saving grace was the forest the village had been built in, right along the edge where the mountains began. The trees did well enough to cover up the village from curious eyes, but people and movement could easily give away the location. So, Hael 'hid' in an alleyway, transformed into the shadowy creature, and watching the chimera with worry as people began to fall off of it to their deaths.
Just when the worst seemed to be over, Hael noticed something rather odd. It was hard to be certain at a distance, but it looked to her like the head of the chimera had been suddenly cut off. It didn't take long to confirm that it had been the head falling last out of the sky when the body soon followed, along with distance yelling of some poor b*****d probably on the dead creature. When the corpse found land, Hael flinched back in imaginary pain at the landing, villagers popping their heads out to see the dust settling in the distance. After a few moments of quiet, the people came out and continued their business, satisfied they were safe again.
Hael wasn't as certain as the others though while she came out of her cover, now in her 'normal' form, staring at the crater now in the mountainside. She didn't know what it was, but something didn't feel right to Hael, and she couldn't shake the feeling.
With a heavy sigh, and quick prayer for luck, Hael headed out for the crater.

It didn't take long for Hael to regret the journey she had begun. It had been too long since she last traveled to across the lands in search of a new villages, and old worries and fears crept up on her. What if demons still lurked in the woods, waiting for someone unsuspecting like her? Maybe that distant shouting she heard as the chimera fell belong to something powerful enough to survive that fall (assume such screams were caused by panic in the crash landing).
No, no. You can't go down that path. Hael growled to herself, shaking her body to figuratively shake of the fear and bring forth courage. You're fine, you're strong, and there's nothing to be afraid. She continued on, worries and doubts being left behind. They didn't stay away long though.
Hael froze. There were voices up ahead, far enough she couldn't understand but still close enough to know she wasn't mistaking something else for the voices. She quickly panicked again, especially when something started to move, and fast too. Not wanting to be spotted, Hael changed into her shadow creature and quickly attached herself a nearby tree's shadow.
Though she was hidden, she remained stiff and quiet. It didn't take long for her to see one of the owners of the voices she heard. Hael wasn't sure to be relieved or worry there was a person way out in the woods, especially in the direction of the chimera's crash. Curiosity got the better of her though, and Hael followed and watched this being as they gathered herbs. Strange... She mused, continuing to follow the female after she finished her task and ran back to a male. When the two reunited, Hael stayed further back, wanting to watch from a safe distance rather than risk getting caught in close quarters.
