The ghoul stared long and hard at the note, pale hands shaking slightly as crimson eyes darted to her lower half. Her exam. Her exam! If she passed this, she'll be a third year and that meant being one step closer to graduation and... and then what?
No, no, Tess, freak out about it later. She mentally chided herself, feeling her throat constrict and her unbeating heart flutter all the same. "Let's go, Legs. And... I think we should take this together."
The lower half swayed her hips in the most unconcerned manner ever but she still let Tess merge with her. Besides, it wasn't as if she couldn't bail on her upper half at the last minute, right? The ghoul arrived at the Gym, whole, nervous, and still dressed as if she couldn't decide between conservative and racy. "N-Nurse Cricket?" she called out.

If the strange amalgamation of fashion struck Cricket at all, she didn't show it through anything more than a neutral expression, her arms folded calmly behind her back as she turned her attention to the younger ghoul. "Good, it seems you've pulled yourself together enough to show up in your entirety." she noted. Perhaps she was observant enough to the fact that Tess actually did sever and her two halves did their..own thing.
The interior of the gym had been set up into a rather interesting little set up that included wooden walls, which any tap of the knuckles would prove to be very sturdy, and two separate doors.
"I've set up a pair of tasks for you. However, it will require you to use your nature to your advantage." Which meant the whole 'whole' thing might have been something not quite required... or rather... it would require a certain degree of cooperation.
"Down one path," she motioned to the door, "you will be required to go through several rooms and pick up various items. However... you cannot progress unless someone else is down..." she motioned to the other door, "the other path enabling doorways to be opened. Unfortunately, this pathway is riddled with some very unhappy customers which will impede that progress as well.
The half that takes that pathway will also require whoever takes the other pathway to let it through. Overall, it will require a little bit of puzzle solving and timing. At the end of the passageway, the rooms conjoin again to give you the final item you need, which is perishable, so you will have to be quick." the instructions were straight forward...ish.
"Do you have any questions or do you need a minute to decide who is going where?"

Maritess listened attentively, making sure both she and her lower half (still merged) both understood what the ghost professor expected of them. Tess strode between the two doorways, stiletto heels clicking noisily as the ghoul nervously drummed her fingers against her arm.
"Nurse Cricket, I believe I've made my decision." Yes, as a whole she referred to herself in the singular form. "I believe I'll go down the path that needs me to pick up various items. And, um, by "pick up" you mean literally pick up, yes? N-not in the, ah "dating" sense?"
Because if it turns out she needed to flirt with people in there who weren't Sheridan, she wasn't sure if she could do it. Legs, on the other hand, wouldn't bat an eye at the prospect of flirting.

Cricket was patient enough while Tess thought through her options, seeming content enough when she was ready to go.
"Very well then. Good luck." Cricket did nothing more besides push both of the doors open and usher the ghoul (both halves) inside each pathway. From there, it would be up to her own luck to pass through the course.
THE EXAM'S RULES There are 5 rooms for each half of Tess to go through. Each room for Tess will contain 1 glowing piece of what looks like a fragment of a beetle shaped pendant. Each room for Legs will contain between 1-4 creatures for her to clear out. Legs must clear out all of these creatures to open the way for Tess to move forward. Tess must grab the pendant fragment and pull a lever to progress Legs forward. This is a game of teamwork. Upon entering each room, roll 2d4. The first dice determines how many opponents are in the room. The second dice determines if Tess needs to roll an odd or an even to grab the pendant in the room (Odd number rolled means Tess needs to roll an odd number, Even means even likewise). To clear out the opponents in the room, Legs only needs to hit them for 1 at the least using a normal battle roll. However, should she miss, they will hit her for -4! To grab the pendant piece, Tess only needs to roll a d4 and aim to match the odd or even established by the entry into the room roll (the second dice established above). However - both halves are limited in how many times they can roll total over their five rooms of progression. Legs has 20 attack rolls in her. Tess has 10 rolls to gather the pendant. Once you run out of rolls, you're done! Cricket will come in and save you. Should you lose all your HP, you are also done. In Summary: TL;DR There are five rooms. Roll for opponent number/even or odd. You have 20 attack rolls and 10 gather rolls spread over all five rooms to complete this exam. Attack rolls are normal, only need to hit each opponent once.
Aesthetics The rooms are bigger on the inside than they look on the outside, and each is covered with thick growths of plant life on the inside which can conceal many a thing inside of them. Such as enemies, items, and levers. The opponents, however, are rather small and more annoying than dangerous. Small, fluffy, and nibbly. Like a horde of angry foxfires.
Huni Pi Let me know if any of this is confusing and I'll work to clarify. I've been super busy IRL but wanted to get this up for you before work since you've waited so long on me ;;
