With Shayla's father and brothers avenged she had nothing left to do with herself, except try and forget any of it ever happened. The only problem was she happened to like her job as a cat thief, a job she took with disgust to find information about who was responsible for destroying her family. Being a thief did a few things for her, one it gave her money and two it let her play the devil with the city and its powers that had played the devil with her. However to remain undiscovered she needed to have a legitimate cover. She is very good at her job catering to the gangsters, and other such people. She also makes the costumes for several of the gin joints entertainers. So come by for a new suit of clothes or perhaps you need help to attain something you can not get your hands on legally.

Shayla Fagan With the help of an 'uncle' she opened her shop a few weeks after she got her revenge. She used her savings from those other jobs she had been running. Now she sat in the back room of her shop, and worked on those dresses for The Harlequin's big Chinese New Year shindig. With the cloth that had been purchases by Mr. Yu in Mr. Lo's shop she had come out with some quite nice costumes. Very vibrant and bright all gold and red and embroidered with the animal of the year. She knew Mr. O'Connor wouldn't car so long as it showed leg, and Roxy was usually fine with her designs. What she wanted was to get them done and then go and thank Mr. Yu properly it was one of the few good things left in her from before her life was shattered.

Shayla Fagan Shayla returned to her shop and locked the door. She had enjoyed her time with Mr. Yu she just was not sure why she found him so endearing. Shayla was normally very slow to warm up to anyone, yet Mr. Yu seemed to be growing on her quickly. Sa she hung her coat and hat on the coat rack she walked through the shop to her little stove in the back and put the kettle on. Taking a seat by the stove she studied the coin that she had been given. It was very pretty she would have to thank him for it if she saw him again. Taking the chain from her neck that held her fathers St. Bridget medal she slid the coin onto the chain then put it back around her thin neck. Once the kettle was ready and she had her tea, she got back to the work of finishing off the costume order for the Harlequin. Shayla had developed a fondness for silk and hoped to get a chance to work with it for a better form of clothing. That was doubtful as she still had to make the dresses for the Jezebels over at Golden Peacock to wear when out on their 'dates'. What she would not give to make some real pieces for people.

Shayla Fagan The last of the costumes were finished for The Harlequin and another order for The Rising Phoenix. Boxing up the costumes she loaded them on her dolly and made her way down the street to The Harlequin it was closest and their load was the largest. Then it would be off to The Rising Phoenix to talk to Rose the new owner .

Esperanza RiveraEsperanza walked into the Golden Thread seamstress shop. She had been the seamtress in her family, something Art had never discovered about her. Plus, Esperanza needed the money for the train and another hideout of sorts. Art or his cronies would not bother looking here. Maybe this Miss Fagan had a room above the shop?

Shayla Fagan Shayla sat at her sewing machine letting out a jacket for one of Egan's new bodyguards. Tonight she would go to the grand gala and hand out business cards, and since Rose was nice enough o tell people who made her girl's outfits she just might be moving up in the world.

James Taggart James had heard of this shop from his friend. He saw some other lady there along with what he believed to miss Fagan. "Miss Fagan right?" Walking next to her. She was working on something. A jacket possibly. "You are miss Fagan right?"

Shayla Fagan Shayla looked up from her machine "Depends on who is asking bright eyes, who are you?" Shayla was serious but she passed of her words as playful as she stopped her sewing machine and put aside the jacket, folding it neatly to one side. Smoothing her simple black dress as she stood waited for the man's reply.

James Taggart James smiled. She was just like Brian had described. "A friend of mine is suppose to be living with you." He looked around at the shop. He nodded. Look legitimate to him."Brian told me you were good. I was wondering if I could get a good jacket that matches my kilt." Taking off his old warn jacket. He sighed. "This jacket won't last me another month. I need something with a hidden pocket to hid items in."

Shayla Fagan Shay took out her small notebook and a cloth measuring tape out of her pocket. "Well, as you wish sir, and you may have nice legs but here in Chicago men wear trousers...not skirts." Her tone was mocking, but playfully so. Please stand with arms extended straight from your shoulders, and tell me is it to be a long or short jacket and dress or casual?" She asked as she flipped to a blank page.

James Taggart James smiled. She was sharp and witty. "I'm from Scotland and live in Canada. How about a long dress? I need to look official if I am to make some hold in Chicago." He stood and did as she asked. At least he would get a nicer jacket. And from someone a friend trusted. "So you and Brian are living together?" He was trying to get more than what Brian told him. She seemed like she knew than what was shown.

Shayla Fagan Shayla smirked "and where did you hear that, do I look like the sort of girl to take in riff-raff?" She asked as she placed the tape at his neck and measured the length to his wrist. Then from under his arm to his waist. Finally she leaned in to get a measure aorun his body at his chest.

James Taggart "You hear a lot when a man spends two weeks in Canada with you. But no you don't look like that type a girl." He watched her as she took his measurements. He kept himself from getting any thoughts. She seemed like the girl that could kill him in a single move. "Though he only mentions the good. Nothing about the attitude."

Shayla Fagan Shayla raised an eyebrow "So, you were the old buddy my cousin went to see. You better behave yourself here my fair lady or you will end up with a new set of shoes to go with the jacket." She said as she noted down his measurements. So, it would seem her 'cousin' told people about their living arrangement that could make things a little more interesting for her than she would like. "so what style, color and cloth would you like this made in?"
