I was going to go with Chicken butt. Apparently it was a furry creature instead. Name?

His name is Rousseau!

And he is a boy obv.

And I think they are good pets but they are kinda smelly even if they are "descented" but if you like their musky smell then it's fine if not you may not wanna get one as bathing them too often makes them smell more. xD

What I do is a bath once a month and a "deodorizing perfume" once a week but be sure any perfume or deodorizer you use is safe for ferrets.

As far as flea treatment you can use a cat dose of Frontline for them but NEVER more then a single dose per month or they could get very ill. And frontline is not sold by most vets for use in ferrets but you can say you are getting it for a cat and use it on the fert, that's what I do and it works fine. xD

What else.... OH some people feed ferrets cat food but this is HIGHLY not recommended because it doesn't have enough protein in it as well as other nutrients. I have done cat food as a temporary filler when I run out of ferret food and can't get to a store, but never use it long term. My favorite ferret food brand is Zupreem. :3

I can vouch for the smell thing. I have a friend who has two of them, and the room she keeps them in REEKS.

Is she good about cleaning up after them? The ferret's cage/bedding should smell, not the whole room....

my x roommate had one... her room stunk, ... her lil guy took a bath with her once every week or two...
omg... i just remember it reeking... n' seeping into my room
gahhhh hated it

lol, her ferret was also afraid of Sammie *past chinchilla* ... and of rats... and of alot of things...
I'll stick with the chins

Okay, a bath once a week is away to often unless it is a plain water rinse. xD

Bathing that often with soap/shampoo will make them smell MORE. Because it dries out their skin and then their little skin oil glands secrete more oils to rehabilitate the skin and it si those oils that have the musky smell. xD

Rousseau is SUPER SOFT OMG! Softest ferret I have ever had!

Ferrets can vary for coarse to very soft in their fur qualities, like most animals.

Like all critters it depends on the personalities of the individual cat as to weather it'll get along with a ferret. xD

Best idea is to get a kitten and young ferret at the same time so they can grow up together and make sure you watch the ferret and cat to be sure they don't get too rough with each other.
