I would love to host a contest for the guild. also, what kind of contests are you thinking of holding and what sort of events will be going on, its hard to suggest things when you don't know what will already be happening. : D

I guess I was confused on what we needed to say in the comment, but I posted some ideas there. I'll post more if I'm able to!
Also, if you still need volunteers, what will they be doing for the event? I'm curious to help out, but would like to know what I'm doing first before I commit. ^_^

halloween avi contest with a few titles to win (exp: scariest avi, cutest avi, most unusual, ect.)
scariest story contest with a word limit or halloween poetry contest
halloween artwork contest
pumpkin contest (either drawings or live photos of carved pumpkings maybe...)

I love GoddessDementia's ideas for halloween contests.
Maybe a Halloween theme song contest? There are No Halloween songs!
